The Stanley Parable: Maelstrom Version (CONCEPT)

This is a crazy idea that I've been thinking since the HD remake release of the Stanley Parable. In fact, this non-canon thread is inspired by the Stanley Parable and if this thread gains attention and I can make a lot of endings like the Stanley Parable had, then hopefully this thread can get started!
Anyways, my idea is that you are in the Institute of War, waking up from a bedroom (if you're a champion) or entering the main halls (if you're an original character) and you find out that except for those participating in this game, including the summoners, councilors, minions, any sentient beings that are not participating characters... gone! And so you are alone in the Institute...
...along with some others but the Institute is SOOO massive that you felt alone.
That's a tidbit of fun and if anyone has played or seen the Stanley Parable, you may clearly know where I am going with this. I narrate your life as you discover what happened to you and where did everybody go. You may follow what I said... or you may choose your own path...
Any comments, suggestions, inconsistencies with this idea? This thread is pure concept but if everyone can roll with this idea, then I can open up a new thread, starting the awesome story!
However, there will be many differences but the main one is this: Whatever actions your character chooses, whether it is in compliance or defiance of the narrator, it may or will affect other characters participating this story... even everybody.
