The band arrived at Bandle City. The guards committed to its usual routine and inspected around the wagons to see if anything's suspicious. They circled around the wagons one by one until they give the go signal to the gatekeeper. Once the gates opened, the guards saluted to the band, cheerily welcoming them to the yordle heartland.
The band dispersed to whatever they want to visit once all the luggage and musical instruments are kept away in a large inn. Yoshi and Teo are left alone to wander around the chattering streets of Bandle City.
Figuring out about Teo was the first challenge. How can he get a beggar who lived in the forest for some time with no parents and inadequate meals fit in with urban lifestyle? And who are Teo's parents? Why was he alone all the time? He never took care of a child before, yet Yoshi must figure out how to make him look and be proper.
"Okay Teo," he turned to his younger protégé, addressing him his plan of the day. "This day is going to be dedicated to you. This means, you need to look good and proper. I want you to taste real food, not the ones in the forest. I want you to wear real clothes; the ones you're wearing will make other people resent you. But on top of that, I want to sharpen your musical skills and make you more confident. So after we've done shopping here, we're going back to the inn and immediately start music lessons. You got it?"
Teo clung to Yoshi the whole way into the city, so totally afraid of the 'new' that was quickly creeping up on him. Even after they returned to the city he was mildly acquainted with, he couldn't loosen his grip on the older maestro's cape.
When addressed, the little yordle looks up at Yoshi timidly, though he's paying close attention. The mention of shopping and "looking good and proper" cause his ears to fold back with fear. All of this attention seemed totally unnecessary and undeserved, and he didn't want to cause any hardships for the nice yordle who'd taken him in. "S-shopping? What f-for?! I... I-I've never gone... shopping before. A-and you don't have to spend any money on me! E-er... b-but... the music lessons sound kinda nice... s-so thank you..."
"Oh but Teo! I have to for your sake! When I perform in front of lots of people, I have to look good. By the time you are taught music, not only you'll look good but also feel good," explained Yoshi as he knelt down to Teo's eye level.
"This..." He wave Teo's tattered cloth, specifically the shoulders. "... is not presentable. Now, I'm getting you clothes and you'll be wearing them, alright?"
He turns his head, eyeing on the cheap clothing store and hopefully for Teo to get the hint of where they're heading first. "That's where we'll head. Cheap price and nice apparel," commented Yoshi. He placed his hands on Teo's shoulders. "Don't worry about the crowd. People here are nice. Now show me a smile on your face."
Unfortunately, Teo is unable to muster up a smile. Though he's a little excited, for the most part all he can feel is fear. Giving up his clothing, the only remnants he has of home, feels like it's going to tear his heart out. "B-but... I like my clothes..."
The little guy's voice trails off and he looks down to the ground, though he's still weakly holding onto his new master's cape. With a sigh of defeat, and no further signs of objection, Teo starts to slowly waddle forward.
Yoshi guided Teo to the first destination with all the apparel in the store using his hands on his shoulders to steer him to the store.
"But you'll like those better in every way!" reassured Yoshi to Teo.
Once at the store, he shuffled through piles of clothing trying to find a simple color and a right size for the little yordle. He pulled a shirt out, a green one, and showed it in front of Teo. "What do you think, Teo? This complements you, hmm?"
Teo gives a small sigh, timidly gripping his flute in front of him. His eyes drift around the room for a moment before resting on the shirt held in front of him. "It... l-looks expensive... c-couldn't we just clean the clothes I already have? I know a g-good stream nearby..."
He turns and looks over his shoulder to the front door, longingly wanting to leave and cut to the music lessons.
"No!" replied Yoshi followed by a series of NO NO NO NO NO's.
"First, trust me. I know the costs of buying and dedicating for you. Second, you're not wearing those tattered clothes. It's time that you live as a citizen and not as a beggar," concluded Yoshi as he picked up three pairs of pants.
"Now try the shirt and pants on," said Yoshi as he hand over the clothing to Teo. "Go to the changing room there and tell me if they fit or not."
Teo's lips quiver a little, gingerly taking the clothes and looking around for the changing room. Luckily he knows how to read, and there is a big sign above his destination. He gives another small, dismal sigh and waddles over to the changing rooms, where he finds an unlocked stall and makes his way inside to try the clothes on. After closing the door, he never thinks to lock it, and immediately goes to work stripping off his old rags and putting on the new clothing. He keeps the shirt on for all three pairs of pants, even though everything is a bit too large for him. In the end, he gets back into his old clothes and carries the new ones out to Yoshi, still appearing somewhat unhappy.
Hmm... was Yoshi's analytic response as he took the shirt and pants away from Teo and reexamined it. Using Teo as a measuring reference, he lined the shirt and pants to its respective body region and found out that it was too big for him. He took Teo's hand and escorted him to another section of the shop to find much more fitting clothes. He shuffled through a pile of shirts and pants and found (hopefully) the right size. He pulls out a different and smaller sized shirt and pants and presented it to Teo.
"Alright, Teo. Try this one," he said after guesstimating Teo's size.
Gingerly, Teo takes the new clothes in hand, his ears drooping a little. It would only be a matter of time before Yoshi found him some clothes that fit and they'd be on their way, most likely tossing out his old belongings into some bin. This thought only causes his head to drop a little lower as he heads towards the changing rooms once again.
Along the way, the yordle pauses, an article of clothing that was hung nearby catching his eye. He steps towards it to take a closer look, furrowing his brow in thought. It's a simple green, hooded vest, lined with brown cloth and strung together in the front with thick, beige string. For a good minute or two Teo stands there and stares at the vest, in his head comparing it to the outfit he's currently wearing.
"Okay... these size and above don't fit him... maybe these will look good on him..."
Yoshi mumbled to himself as he continued to examine each stack of clothing, judging each clothe he came across, and then determining whether it's the right size and clothing look for Teo. With each stack, he repeated the same process again and again till he spots the younger yordle staring at thevest right in front of him. Comparatively, it resembled Teo's rag clothes, though better looking. He placed a stack of clothes (of varying sizes) aside and picked up the vest to check the price.

A quiet day for Basil it was, just some paperwork here and there and nothing to worry about, and he was happy about it, not need to worry much so he decided to go out and how some fresh air. He takes his cloak and sword then heads out.
He walked to town to see the people of Bandle and two yordles caught his eye, He sees them in the shop and walks to them, as he gets closes her hears the older one say "...Do you really want this?" so he comes behind him and asks
"Is there a problem?.."

Teo cowers slightly at Yoshi's accusation, biting his lower lip and shaking his head a little. Basil's appearance only makes him cower further, ears pinning back as he shivers in fears. "N-no... I-I don't want anything." He does his best to sound sincere, wanting to show his distinct distaste for acquiring new clothing. Deep inside he thinks to himself that if he were to be forced into getting something new to wear, it would be something like this vest, which wouldn't stray too far from what he'd originally worn. The price would only be a burden that Yoshi would have to feel, giving him a taste of the burden that young Teo has to face with giving up his current attire.
For sure, Teo wanted that sweater vest and now he understood why. The dress matched with the rag outfit he's wearing and it would fit him. But the price was shockingly high for a simple hooded vest!
"Well Teo. Wow... the price is-"
As he turned around to find out who's behind him, he stared into a high-class looking yordle with a noble like stature. He looked too fancy to be in a cheap clothing store, but Yoshi concluded that he is the store manager! Maybe he can negotiate in lowering the price or something like that.
"Yes. Do you think the price of the vest is too high?"

He stares at the yordle, annoyed that he does not know who he is, but alas he was always behind the curtains while Dennison did all the public things, so he says;
"Well, I find the price rather fitting" he says as he hold the tag to see the price on the vest "Well, it looks right to me, since the the material for this vest is not the cheapest around" and then drops the tag "So is that the problem? It's to expensive?
