"For a simple vest, yes!" replied Yoshi as he continued to examine the sweater vest front and back.
"Can't you lower the price? This young boy here needs clothes and lots of them!" beseech Yoshi as he lifts up the price tag in front of Basil. Could he get some form of discount?
Teo watches the calm argument between the two men, folding his hands behind him at the small of his back. He bites his lower lip in shame and turns his wet eyes away, feeling guilty for starting this whole thing. He attempts to quell the debate by muttering, "B-but I don't n-need any new clothes...", but his voice barely comes out as a croak from the amount of effort he's using to choke back the tears.

He moves the tag away from his face "I can do no such things.." he says with a chuckle "But buying it for you is another thing..." he then takes the vest and holds it for a minute, seeing a boy like this so poorly dressed, such shame indeed so he wanted to buy it for them.
"Aren't you the store manager?" quizzed Yoshi as he continued to press on to Basil to lower the price.
He turned around to see Teo almost broken to tears. He hated to see the little guy cry. Every sniffle that may have came out from his eyes point the blame to Yoshi. He quickly wiped away any tears welling up in his eyes and handed over the vest to Teo.
"Don't cry now. Try it out to see if you like it," soothed Yoshi as he patted on his back. He gently pushed him to the direction of the changing room and turned his attention back to Basil.

"I see.." he says as he looks at Teo walking away, he then looks back at Yoshi to answer his question "No, I am not the store manager, far from it" he clears his throat "I am Basil Skywood, The minister of Defend for Bandle City.." he says as he stands straight and looks at her Yoshi "And might I know your name? hmm?" he asks with one hand behind the back and one on the sword
Teo's ears wilt and he gingerly takes the vest from his master. He slowly makes his way back to the changing rooms, a rather solemn frown on his face. Despite getting a chance at something he only mildly wants, he still feels guilty for the money that will most likely be spent on him. To him, he is not deserving of this kind of treatment.
It doesn't take him long to throw on the vest, along with a beige pair of pants that Yoshi had picked up for him, and he quickly leaves the changing room to show his master that they both fit well. If he has to go through with this, he might as well get it over with as quickly as possible.
"Oh! I thought you were the manager. Anways... the name is Yoshi Tupelo. And I lead the Yordle Orchestra ((to be canon, as of right now it's a swing band))," introduced Yoshi as he shook the minister's hand.
"You know, Basil. There are children that are hungry, poor, and sometimes don't have anything to live for. And yet, they keep living. Like the boy Teo which I found in the forest days ago. He had nothing, and yet he has a divine sense of music," explained Yoshi as he continued to talk about the younger yordle. "The sad reality is that no one will take care of him. And-"
The door swung open and Teo emerged from the changing room wearing a perfectly fit vest. When Teo approached Yoshi, the older maestro knelt down and checked the size of the vest and pants. "Does it fit you perfeectly?" asked Yoshi with an encouraging smile.
With a small sigh, Teo nods, hands folded at the small of his back. "Yeah... they fit..." This is his only response, not looking up at the elder yordle. He'd probably just tear up from the feeling of guilt if the two made eye contact again.

He takes his hand as well and shakes it "Pleasure to meet you Mr. Yoshi!" he says with a smile, he then lets go off his hand and listens to him about the child, it was sad indeed that such young child should live in the woods all alone and still somehow learned music, quite surprising indeed, he continues to listen but was interrupted as Teo comes out of the changing room with the vest on. He simply stares at Tea not sure what to think about this but he put his hand on Yoshi shoulder "I would love to pay for that vest for you!" he says with a smile
"I think you like it," said Yoshi with a large grin. "So I guess you like these colors." He quickly scanned around the store with his eyes to find size and color similar to the hooded vest.
Basil grabbed Yoshi's shoulders and the maestro turned around only to hear that the the minister will pay for the expensive vest. "Oh my gosh! Thank you! I think that'll shorten the cost by... a lot."
((Today, Yoshi leads an orchestra instead of a swing band. Oh and short post... I can't type well when I'm hungry...))
Teo's eyes wet again and he turns his head to the side, trying to hide his guilt and unhappiness. Though the new clothes do look good on him, they make him feel uncomfortable and out of place.
