"Thank you, Lord Dunwall." The Knights saluted, watching him go and keeping an eye on the people filtering through the street. The men were annoyed, and the story on everyone's lips was how a night guard named Trevin had been knocked out by a flying beer mug when he insulted the league champion from Bildgewater known as Fizz. The soldier was no worse for wear, aside from a large bruise that he'd carry for a few days, but the story would live a bit longer.

Fizz looks as Gillam walks along the path he had taken, grinning a bit. He hops to the next rooftop, following by until the edge of that building, where he slides down the side and sticks the trident to the ground, wrapping his toes around the trident's pommel in an unusually flexible manner, at least to the eyes of the humans.
Lookin' for somethin' mate? Ya look a bit tense.
He seemingly sits on top of the trident in a pose that reminds of an eagle sitting on a branch. His grin however, seems closer to a shark, making him seem a lot more threatening than his appereance would usually allow. A single golden glint would also hit the the eyes of those looking at the Trickster, the golden ring hanging on one of his ears glowing in the sunlight, giving an odd contrast to the smooth, flat skin of the Atlantean.
Then again, it ain't like anyone 'round here has seemed like anythin' else so far.
Then again, it ain't like anyone 'round here has seemed like anythin' else so far.
Gillam heard the playful, light pitched voice of Fizz echo through the alleyway. He turned in surprise, only to find Fizz balancing on his trident, a few feet away from him. He instinctively reached for his weapon, but his fingers found nothing but air. Sighing, he faced the Tidal Trickster.
"Well, I was hoping to meet you on more even terms... Looks like that isn't going to happen anytime soon."
Gillam had read physical descriptions of this champion in records from the Insitute of War, but he was startled how surprisingly accurate they were. Everything matched up, from the small stature, the beady eyes, and even his personality.
"My name is Gillam Dunwall. I am head of one of the royal houses here in Demacia."
Gillam introduced himself as peacefully as he could, although, he knew the Trickster was hardly a serious champion. His biggest fear was getting into a fight with Fizz, but judging on how the champion was positioned, he looked very unprepared for combat of any kind. Even though Fizz donned a very ferocious facial expression, there was no malice in his eyes. At least, that's what Gillam had hoped.

Fizz merely laughs, shaking his head a bit. Even terms? Was he expecting a fight? His grin turns into something a bit less predatory, and more into his usually known playful look.
I guess ya know my name already then. At least ya don't look as stiff and official as most of tha people 'round here.
What most didn't know, and what Fizz didn't tell usually, was that he didn't at all rely on the trident for fighting. After all, he had spent his childhood searching for trouble in the depths of the Guardian's Sea, without a weapon, using only what he could find it the surroundings.
So, ya looked like ya were lookin' for something. Didn't happen to be me by any chance, was it?
The glyphs on the blades of the trident glow momentarily again, causing a layer of water to appear on Fizz's skin. The dryness of the air and the sunshine was quite annoying to someone used to living in a marine environment, but it didn't seem to show on Fizz's expression even if it was bothering him.
I wouldn't be too surprised if all the soldiers were to come after me. It ain't like this place likes Bilgewater, and bein' a representative of 'em, I ain't gonna be too liked either. Hopefully they were smart enough to figure out that all I did was respond to that one kid of a soldier who was yellin' stuff drunk...
Yellin' stuff like that at me in Bilgewater though... eh, he'd be shark food there. Gotta try and be a bit more... what'cha call it? Civil? Since I'm in yer city and all.

Gillam eased up a bit. At least the Tidal Trickster could tell he wasn't a stuck up noble from another house.
"Some may call me a noble, but I don't consider myself one. I am a soldier of sorts, though the rules of war in my era were much different from today. I was walking back home after I studied the commotion you caused over at the bar. Between you and me, our noble guards were pretty pissed off at you...anyways, I wasn't necessarily looking for you.
Judging from the little time Gillam had spent with Fizz, he didn't seem to be in cohorts with the Noxians. If anything, he would be indifferent, maybe even opposed to them. Still, it wouldn't hurt to ask the Atlantean.
Since your are a representative of Bilgewater, you must have been to Noxus before, correct? After all, your city state has pretty close relations with Noxus. If you do happen to get caught, they won't want to negotiate with someone who is found to be in relation with our sworn enemy...

Been to Noxus? Yeah. As a rep? Not exactly, just checkin' the place out and tryin' to see if Draven was available... betcha that guy woulda appreciated my tricks, but no, he was busy with all the fans. Pfft.
'Sides, Demacia'd have no right to interrogate me or hold me, I ain't broken no laws, unless stopping a barfight from starting counts as one. Then again, I would've been the one starting it as well...
Fizz shrugs with a chuckle. He then quickly leans down and spins around the trident to the ground, pulling it out and spinning the trident before placing it against his shoulder.
Also, if they'd catch me, they'd risk annoyin' both the League, and Bilgewater. And if you annoy Bilgewater, you ain't gettin' no trade by sea done. Pirates ain't easy to deal with. 'specially if the boat you're in has drinks in it.
Noxus ain't exactly my kinda place though... while they were more.... laid-back than y'all here in Demacia, still too serious about fightin' and everythin'. There ain't no place like Bilgewater for free spirits like m'self.

Gillam felt more at ease talking to the Tidal Trickster than any other champion he'd ever met from Bilgewater or Noxus (there weren't many on that list, however). Fizz seemed to be more of a free spirit. Even though he did cause a huge commotion over something he shouldn't have been involved in, he felt empathy for the little Atlantean. All he wanted to do was stop by Demacia, and he had gotten himself into a whole heap of trouble.
"Well, you certainly don't sound like someone who would sympathize with Noxians, and I'm glad. To be honest, I've never had such an engaging conversation with any of the other non Demacian champions. Thanks for that, I guess..."
Gillam stared sheepishly at his leather boots for a few seconds, not knowing what to say. Gillam could never see himself talking to someone like Fizz back in his era. However, as Gillam had to bitterly remind himself countless occasions, times have changed. Literally. He spoke up again after a few seconds of silence.
"I should probably get back to my estate now...it was a pleasure meeting you, Tidal Trickster. I hope my fellow Demacians don't cause you too much trouble."
With that ending remark, GIllam chuckled, and continued to walk down the alleyway. Turning back to look at the Tidal Trickster one more time, he waved. Fizz and Gillam may have been polar opposites, but he saw a playfulness he had never seen in any other champion he talked to. He sighed, preparing himself for the mundane paperwork waiting for him at Dunwall Estate.

Fizz merely shrugs as Gillam continues on, looking back up and climbing up the wall of the building to the roof again. He looks around quickly, laughing. This seemed similar to a quiet day back in Bilgewater... but might be an unusual one for this place.
He jumps to the next roof and walks over to the other end of the house, looking over to the marketplace in the distance... this prooobably wasn't the place to try and sneak free food from. Yet, he had no money... perhaps he would've go to the docks eventually. But for now, he heads along the rooftops towards the market, not caring if people spotted him anymore, he knew there'd be little that he could be taken in for... if they even managed to catch him.

The streets were wide, and the buildings were short with roofs that swept low and long. Some were flat, with wide fabric awnings, others shingled with wood or metal. Every shop front was open, and further down the way several square blocks north of the road was flat and covered with merchant stalls selling clothing and grain, fruits and tools, weapons and pastries, and a menagerie of other goods that must have been the product of several small towns. Nothing fancy was displayed, as those with the means ran the separate shops with wide display cases and ornately decorated signs. These businesses dominated the main road, advertising their special goods for several blocks in all directions.

Fizz looks over to the market area, chuckling. Way grand as seemed to be the theme for this place. Perhaps there were enough people to warrant this, but still it felt excessive. So, he jumps down to a windowsill and from there down to the ground, looking through the street with a predatory grin and a playful gaze.
Well... let's see what kinda stuff y'all got to sell 'round here...
He runs forward, weaving through the crowd with little effort, his size and nimbleness making it easy to weave around the humans long legs. He quickly makes his way to a fish stall, leaping up and balancing atop the trident again, looking through the selection of fish slowly, and surprisingly quietly.

Most people were busy enough not to notice the moist hands of the little creature weaving through the crowd. Eye, level with entirely too many legs and posteriors, the trickster would get a better view from his trident, causing a little stir as patrons looked up from their purchases are the blue acrobat. The fishmonger turned.
"Can oi elp you Tricksta?" The man flashed a crooked grin, and chuckled.

Fizz continues looking at the selection of fish for a moment before looking up at the salesman with the same playful look as usual.
Maybe ya can tell me what kinda fish is the best 'round here. As you can probably guess, I ain't got no money with me, as it's kinda hard to carry things around when ya never even wear clothes. So, I plan to hunt my food from the docks... just wonderin' what kinda fish y'all get 'round the port here.
He seems to have no trouble or bother balancing on top of the trident, despite the position looking rather uncomfortable, perhaps even impossible for human agility.

"Oh, a fisherman then? The best tasting fish is the one you catch yar self, but... the silver trout is the best you'll find from the docks." The man was spared only another moment to stare at this creature who was not a customer before going back to his work.
Post by The Tidal Trickster on Dec 28, 2013 11:48:38 GMT -5
Silver trout huh? That'd have to do. Fizz quickly hops down from the trident and picks it up again, weaving through the crowd once more to make his way towards the dock to go hunt. This place wasn't nearly as interesting as Bilgewater, or even Noxus. He'd probably leave for home soon, but might as well see what kind of grub he could get from the harbor...

The harbor teeming with ships and crowded docks was separated into sections. There was a military boatyard, guarded and walled from the outer harbor. Midshipmen ran it and soldiers guarded it from wide stone seawalls to thick timber docks and the Demacian fleet ships at anchor.
It was a like a different world. It was ordered and cleaned till even the rough stones gleamed. The efficiency inside was in direct contrast to the world outside the wall, bustling with merchants crates and carts, a chaotic jumble of commerce at its finest where goods exchanged hands right of the boat. Bags and boxes were shoved off to stores and warehouses, auctions and government storage.
The lifeblood of the sea poured out of vast nets at the fishing piers, and it was here that a quiet dock might be found to bait a hook and cast a line. Clear of the crowds and guards that could interrupt, the fleet of fishing boats sailed in and out of the docks in comparative calm. Anything from mussels to great fish the size of men could come of those ships, but it would be an everyday occurrence, and here even a small blue fellow might go unnoticed.
