The news of a champion's arrival at the Institute of War eventually reached the Senior Steward's ears - late, perhaps, quite indeed so, but it happened nevertheless. While the League was well on its way to recover from the past events and tragedies - the invasions, the secession of a city-state and even the escape of several of its most dangerous champions, the speed and efficiency which information (and gossip) used to spread around never recovered ... at least, what used to go around with the swiftness of a wildfire now passed around at the speed of smoke signals.
It did not take Tybresa long to locate the office where presumably, the Madman of Zaun was currently held - while the information was lacking, it was quite hard to miss someone as ... outstanding as Dr. Mundo. The incessant clicking of her heels against the floor filled the silent emptiness in the hallway as she walked at a purposeful stride, a sudden sense of duty igniting with the arrival of a champion - at least, it was a better alternative than the mind-numbing task that filing paperwork turned out to be. Heavens knows, it was a most welcome change.
Standing before the door, blue eyes flitted across its surface in search of a name plaque - a hint to the identity of the summoner who was speaking with the esteemed doctor. To her disappointment, she found none - never mind that, then. I can find the answer just beyond the door. She thought to herself and without a moment's hesitation longer, knocked precisely and firmly three times at the door before she asked for permission, as it was the polite thing to do. "If I may."

The sudden rapping at the door jolted Naiyu awake. She'd taken her leave of the conversation and decided to make sure all of this weeks papers were in order - never mind she'd checked them six times before leaving yesterday. Somehow she'd managed to slip into a light nap, however, not quite understanding the talk of reviving champions going on...
She brushed the light sliver of drool away, embarrassed, and hurried to the door. "C-Coming!"
Naiyu briskly opened the doors for the person behind them, moving out of the way as well to allow them vision and entry. Normally she'd check who it was and what their business was before letting them in, but the sudden jolt from sleep slightly addled her mind.
That...and there was Mundo.
Taking note of the figure before her, golden eyes blinked several times. "P...Pardon the wait, ma'am...please..." she gestured into the room and towards Jacob's desk.

The information he received from the summoner was indeed what he had searched for; apparently it was the Nexuses which were the source and power behind Champion revival. The Doctor was slightly annoyed by this, as he hoped it was some extreme form of healing magic. But no, apparently a Nexus was simply powerful enough to wholly rebuild a person or entity with raw arcane power. It did answer a lot of little curiosities he had about the Institute, but at the same time...
As he thought, the Doctor's facial expression changed from his 24/7 happy appearance to more of a frown, and then into a state of thought. Getting a Nexus as far as Mundo understood was simply out of the question. He could attempt to go to one of the Nexuses and steal it of course, but they were undoubtedly guarded to the tooth with sorcery he had no means to fight other than regenerating through the damage he would receive. That and he knew himself well enough that he wouldn't be able to take one without letting the whole world know. This was indeed puzzling for the Doctor.
The Doctor's eyes, looking down in thought flicked back up as they returned to the summoner before him.
"Mundo not suppose any other way to revive Champion?"
Then, an idea. A wonderful idea. A wonderful, Mundo idea. Who better to ask such a question, and potentially contract for more, than Death's Herald himself? The Doctor's gaze moved above summoner's head, easily indicating that he thought of something profound, at least to Mundo. But his eyes quickly returned to the summoner in front of him, seeing if he had some kind of answer for his very broad inquiry. It didn't matter if he didn't have one though, because the Doctor thought of someone who could give him one.

Jacob thought about Mundo's question for a bit. "Not unless you partake in necromancy. Or some member of the Shadow Isles." He was beginning to worry as to Mundo of all people was looking for a way to raise the dead. The High Summoners might want to know about this.
He looked to the new arrival to his office. "Ah, Stewart Summoner Tybressa! What a surprise! What brings you here?"

Noting the appearance of another summoner in the room, the Doctor simply spun around in the chair, looking at the new person.
"Graaah, hello! Mundo not suppose you know other way to bring dead Champions back? Mundo have second plan if summoner lady don't, but Mundo need summoner for it."

As soon as the door opened, Tybresa's blues gaze fell on the petite figure of the young girl that stood before her with a befuddled air to her, as if she just woke up from sleep. She narrowed her eyes for a moment, noting the absence of the standard uniform.
"And why are you not wearing your summoner robes, young lady?" She admonished out in a warm tone, not trying to demean Naiyu, but simply team and keep things proper to the Summoner's Code. "As far as I was aware, this day is not quite at end, and there is still plenty of work to be done." She lightly shook her head disapprovingly. "For your sake, I had better not catch you in such a state again."
With the matter done, the woman raised her gaze off Naiyu to stare directly forward, catching sight of the large, purple hulk that was seated in a such a small chair comparable to his size, it was a wonder the furniture was still intact. And beyond that, she caught sight of the summoner to whom these offices belonged ... and seeing his face made her flare her nostrils and sharply inhale the alcohol-tinged air within the chamber. I should have known. She thought to herself briefly, before she stepped within with a couple of long yet confident steps, finding herself before Jacob's desk and standing to the left of the champion.
She let out a sigh, her gaze darting between the two, seemingly deciding which one she was supposed to greet first, before she spoke out in a collected voice. "Good day, gentlemen." Her eyes fell first on Jacob. "Summoner Cervantes - certainly, a face I did not expect to see today." Her tone sounded genuinely polite and amiable ... "Surely that kind of question is quite redundant, considering who I am and what my duty within the League encompasses, hm?"
Now, her gaze fell to Mundo. "Doctor. It is certainly a pleasant surprise to have your presence within these harrowed hallways once more..." She narrowed her eyes at the question, however - not to mention she had heard fragments of the conversation. Necromancy? Shadow Isles? What kind of plan are these two plotting, I wonder?
"Well that is quite a ... controversial question. I fear you will have to understand when I say that I am going to need a purpose to keep in mind when expected to answer such a touchy inquiry. But otherwise, I feel I should remind you that I am always at your disposal should you require it, Doctor Mundo. I am the Senior Steward, after all."

As the Senior Steward asked her inquiry to the good Doctor, one that even Mundo was surprised nobody asked, he ascended from the seat, deciding to stand once more for his explanation. The Doctor had nothing to hide, far from it. As the purple mass of chiseled muscles and gossamer form rose to his feet, he easily towered over everyone in the room, a good 7 1/2 feet tall easily, taller perhaps if he stood up straight. But that would cause him to hit his head against the ceiling, and the room was small enough as it is for him. Right, her question...
"How Mundo explain... Mundo Champion of League, Mundo fight best fighters of Runeterra. Mundo fight, Mundo kill, Mundo have fun! But now League matches stopped. Mundo still kill, but Mundo..."
The Doctor paused for a moment, putting his hand up to his chin in thought of how best to phrase this.
"Mundo killing champions like fine food, fine wine. Killing people in Zaun like crackers. Mundo miss fighting the best."
An awfully twisted ideology, but a sincere one for the Madman.
"So! Mundo do things. Mundo hire Viktor to make Mundomobile. Mundo travel and challenge League Champions to fights! But Mundo need way to stop death, like Summoners use Nexus to bring Champions back. Mundo know League, League not sell Mundo Nexus, so Mundo need other way. And Mundo not know if League know other way. Mundo not think so."
This is where things would get interesting, far more than they previously might have.
"Mundo want to ask someone who know Death. Mundo not know where he is though."

A lot had happened in the short space of time that Steward Tybresa had entered the room. Thankfully Naiyu's brain had begun to function well enough to follow. though she still felt as though things had escalated quickly.
At Steward Tybresa's light scolding, Naiyu couldn't help but feel a tad awful. She knew well that Summoner robes were to be worn at all times during duty, as they are the very easily distinguished icon of a Summoner of the Institute. But she wasn't -supposed- to still be there. She had -already- finished all of her daily work, and gotten some of the next three days work prepared. She was -going- to be away from the Institute today...but things turned out otherwise. She wanted to try to explain herself to the High Ranking Summoner, but the aura exuding from the woman gave her the feeling that any attempt at doing so would be seen as nothing more than excuses...
Naiyu timidly took herself, defeated, to the corner of the room as the rest of the events played out.
Upon hearing Mundo's plans spoken to the rest of the room, a small spark of curiosity struck the naive young Summoner. It was understandable that a...'person', like Mundo would wish to fight others near his strength for a challenge, in honesty she was surprised he'd be considerate enough to preserve life while doing so. Even still, though, she had no idea of how any of that would be accomplished...until he mentioned Karthus.
It was a reasonable assumption. From what she recalled about the known story of the Lich, he had managed to end his life and come back as an undead...with a few cosmetic changes, noticeably so. But she also recalled the Deathsinger was a very solitary Champion with a hatred for all things breathing. Would he allow himself to be Summoned? Especially since the Shadow Isles had just attacked the ever loving daylights out of Demacia?...

Jacob stood up to address his fellow summoner. "Nor did I expect to see you Senior-Stewart Farrister-Cassalantar , but you did come to my office, so I would assume you expected to see me." He circled around his desk to meet her.
"As for Summoner Persici Lu, she is not in her robes because I have given her time off. She is my student and has been performing so admirably that I gave her a day off of work. Which she was enjoying before encountering the Doctor, who she brought to me." He knew the Steward had a less than favourable impression of him, given his...hobbies, but he still got his work done...a little slower than most, but still done.
"Well" he began, turning back towards the doctor. "We can attempt a summoning, but the chances seem slim. Contact with the Shadow Isles has been limited since the invasion and I don't know if Karthus would even be willing to be summoned. Of course, we will need approval and who knows how long that could take."

// Oh gosh, you people move so fast.
Jacob stood up to address his fellow summoner. "Nor did I expect to see you Summoner Farrister, but you did come to my office, so I would assume you expected to see me." He circled around his desk to meet her.

The woman turned her gaze to have it rest on the man as he moved to address her, narrowing her eyes ever-so-slightly as he spoke out her wrong title ... and name. Nevertheless, she simply pursed her lips together at the offense and let it pass over as she shifted her weight from one foot to another.
At the mention of Naiyu, Tybresa briefly glanced at the girl standing in her own isolated place, before she let out a sigh and sharply looked at Cervantes. "As glad I am to hear that there are still diligent and hard-working summoners living at the Institute of War, I fear I do not need to remind you that the current state of the League is ... less than satisfactory. If we wish to rebuild this place back to its glory, the Steward Council is going to need all the hands and help they can get." She let out a sigh as she shook her head. "It is only after our work is done that we can rest. Or have you forgotten your oath so soon?" Her gaze snapped back at him, her voice perhaps a bit too sharp than she intended it too - it was a well-known fact that on a professional level, Tybresa was a diligent and serious woman, often motivating the rest to follow her lead through example, authority ... and punishment where everything else fails. But in the past few months, she had certainly made her methods harsher, often cutting back the moments of rest and peace the summoners were allowed as well as raising the bar of the daily work quota.
She had a good reason to, however, because she was not exaggerating- there was far too much unfinished work for the Stewards to tackle by themselves.
Nevertheless, she shook her head disapprovingly at him before she turned her attention on the good Doctor as he stood up and spoke...

"Mundo want to summon Karthus."
Despite Mundo's height and massive size, the Senior Steward remained steadfast, with her back straight and her chin raised up in pride as well as to maintain eye contact with the champion. She did not seem intimidated by the size, mostly because the champion was one she was familiar with ... and while it might sound like a most insane thing to say, she trusted him to know his place within the harrowed hallways of the Institute of War.
She occasionally nodded her head as he went on with his speech, finding his logic relatively understandable (looking from his perspective, at least). Though she did narrow her eyes in suspicion as well as confusion at his finishing statement. "Well, that is certainly an unexpected turn of events, doctor -..."
"...Would Karthus even...a-agree to that?..."
Naiyu's question rang through the room, which promptly made Tybresa turn her head to her direction and answer in a matter-of-fact attitude. "No - he would not." Before she settled her gaze on to Mundo.
"While it is possible to summon him without his consent, that kind of ritual will require far more effort and resources than we usually would. Not to mention one would require the confirmation of both the High Councilors as well as agree to have them personally oversee the action. Convincing the Council of Equity to agree to such an idea would be -..."
She froze halfway through her speech, abstaining from saying the word 'Impossible'. Instead, she swallowed dryly and went on with her speech. "... complicated. But certainly, I could bring forth the proposition and see what their presences will think."
She raised a hand to point towards the door. "But surely this kind of conversation would be more suitable in a different place - does the Esteemed Doctor still remember where my offices are?" She managed a genuine smile - indeed, she recalled her first months as a Senior Steward, when Mundo tried his luck to convince her to bring forth all kinds of propositions to the Council of Equity, one more outrageous than the most. Needless to say, the High Councilors never heard of them.

The Doctor stared at Tybresa for a moment, thinking about it. The Doctor merely had a simple response for a simple question.
"Mundo does not."
He was rather enjoying the presence of the Bilgewater Summoner and his apprentice, but it seemed that this conversation needed to be moved to a place where it could be discussed in detail. Hopefully this would go better than the half-dozen business proposals he offered to her before...

The woman let out a small sigh as she shrugged. "Oh well - that is nothing that cannot be fixed. Now, if you would be so kind as to follow me, I will take you there, where we will hopefully settle this little ... issue."
With a graceful flair of her hand, she kindly gestured for the door, before she turned her gaze to the summoner to nod curtly in a silent farewell, before she spun on her heels to walk out as graciously as she entered.
