Now, now. I am certain that not everyone is familiar with the cult hit of Suda 51 that has spanned over two games that have proven itself to be a favorite of mine as the result of it's aesthetic values. But this thread would be my attempt at creating the organization within the game No More Heroes, to be accessible as a role play to any assassin's out there who are willing to prove them self the number one ranking assassin in Runeterra.
No More Heroes follow the simple concept of the protagonist climbing up the ranks of the United Assassin's Association from a nobody, through ten (increased to 15-16 in No More Heroes 2) different and interesting fights to become the number 1 ranking assassin, why you ask? Well to get a lass. Anyway, the technology and the vast amount of locations available within Runeterra coupled together will create a very interesting scenario for all who wants to involve them self in a life of blood, money, fame and well of course, stylish and outlandish action should you be able to manage it for very long.
Now, a few notes before this role play can take off:
-Please post a character profile within this particular thread before you begin.
- The character profile should include name, race, age, appearance, gender, experiences in previous/current occupations, equipment, primary weaponry and secondary weaponry, motivation for moving up the ranks, stage of choice, vehicle of choice, (if vehicle combat intended in the future) Mech/Gundam of choice, (if mech combat intended in the future) taunt (not necessary really but still appreciated) and music of choice (one again, not necessary really, but still appreciated)
- If the character desires to stay in his or her current rank, then please do the courtesy of explaining the character motives for staying in the same rank (In character of course)
- Feel Free to mention your preferred transportation, but list that under a different sub-heading to Vehicle of Choice, unless you are driving that thing to a death-match...
- Please give the character a stage of choice, this stage of choice is only applicable when the character is being challenged and not when the character is challenging someone else. The geographical location of this stage can be any where in Runeterra. Of course, feel free to build and describe your own custom stage if it fits within the realm of boundaries of Runeterra and/or Real life.(Remember, it is there to showcase your combat style, taste, choice, and of course, to boost your possible advantage over your challenger)
- The use of any form of weapon is allowed, however, the use of superior technology and magic must have clear drawbacks, especially against challengers with only access to melee combat.
- Some example of weapons used in the original game: revolvers, satellite orbit cannon, baseball bat, Barrett m82 anti-material sniper rifle/Scythe hybrid, Spider mech suit with 6 beam katanas, beam naginata, Mega-sized Mecha etc.
- Try to incorporate a beam design within your weapon of choice, in up keeping with the aesthetic value of the original game, it is not necessary, but please try to make your weapon unique so as to follow the stylish and outlandish fashion of the original game, who knows, a very ordinary weapon with a very bizarre twist might just surprise your opponent enough to give you an edge.
- state the capabilities of your weapon and character in your template, of course, your challenger wouldn't have such information unless they did their research IC. (Oh boy the joy of watching people going: "But I can see it here in the thread!")
- Well this one is obvious, but no god modding.
In regards to ranking challenge:
- Ranking challenges can not be started right away. The challenger must meet the position's entry fee, meaning that the challenger must post and participate in some form of action before he or she is allowed to challenge the higher ranking assassin.
- Time cool down are real life based.
- Time will also decrease the time for a challenge initiation. Presumably 1 day of cool down to initiate a challenge which can be decreased with posting of daily activities, character actions, that can sufficiently decrease the cool down to a period of 12 hours through post number (3-4), number of words in post (one really long post, something 16 lines plus) and action oriented content (a combat scene in a decent length post, 7-10 lines) within the post.
- People who are challenged are allowed to not accept a challenge due to IRL reasons, but this will move the challenge to an individual one rank above the challenged and due to the after effects of the challenge, will essentially move the absentee down one rank.
- If the challenge is not accepted within 7 days, the higher ranking assassin automatically drops down all the way to the bottom and every other assassin moves up a rank.
- A grace period will be given to a failed or successful challenge to participants, this grace period is 2 days and not reducible by other means.
- People who are challenged, during the starting phrase of a challenge are capable of requesting certain things from the UAA, this request will be passed on to the challenger to complete. Now, the goal of this challenge is not to make it so the challenger automatically fails, but it is to provide insight to your own character's motive, lifestyle, objectives with the secondary aim of making it just a little bit harder for the assassin challenging you.
Character death-wise:
- To the undying, you are exempt from the following, but you can still drop all the way to the bottom of the ranking list, from defeat.
- The outcome of a challenge will always result in one victor and one loser. the victor can spare the loser's life if desired, but he/she can only spare the same individual once. (Oh please don't tell me you can tie in a death match...?)
- Should an individual lose his/her challenger defense and will be a violation of the first rule if the circumstances apply, then the individual will be disposed of by the UAA's hired minions on site. (NPC/Roleplayed by other people)
- The fate of death can be avoided with fees, such as entry fees which = the number of post taken to initiate the challenge + 3, 8 posts by the character is capable of redeeming his/her life should the individual to be desired to be spared by the victor, who is unable to do so. The result of such will be the automatic drop down to the bottom of the ranking list. Of course, the post numbers will be detracted from the character, so please keep count.
- The cost is increase to 10 if the character desires to be spared without the consent of the triumphant.
- Number of post by the character act as such fees, fees are obtained from posting, half amount of posts from the challenger's entry fee + 3.
- Posts not involved with the initiation of challenge will add to the character's income. (+0.5 per decent length post )
- Posts judged to be nonsensical or too short (by moderators, me and/or the public) will not count towards the initiation of challenge. As of now my definition of a decent length post would be around 7-10 lines.
- Starting Currency = 10 (Just incase someone decides to kill everyone at the start)
Game-wise:
- There will be instances of arena fights should the number of assassin's become too high, a fixed number of assassin's will be dropped into one arena where in the end there will only be one victor remaining.
- Pure Melee Assassins needs one less post to initiate challenges, assassin's with access to more then two weapons will need more posts to initiate challenges, +1 with each weapon, characters with one or two hybrid weapon is normal rate.
- Should there be more registered assassins, more features would unlock such as vehicle combat (can't be the sole fight to decide a ranking victory), mech combat (can be the sole fight to decide a ranking victory) 2v1/2v2 fights and more.
- Refrain from making posts that doesn't add to character depth, relationship, personality, or to initiate a challenge.
- People who point out possible exploits/problems in the system will be rewarded with 5 points.
- LB is the currency for this role play (based on the original game currency), essentially the post number you've made/your income. But feel free to refer to entry fees and post counts as points if you wish.
- For those with difficulities envisioning what the prize would be for reaching the top of the ranking list, consider it your character's desire manifest.
- The ranking list will begin with 1-11 and will go to 11+ with enough applicants.
- Mech and Vehicle combat requires a mutual agreement between the two parties. Please discuss with your opponent should this be you inner deep motivation.
Management/Others:
- Someone to gauge how much a post is worth to decreasing the cool down for the initiation for a challenge.
- People who want to role play UAA staffs are required so as to give a new assassin a form of joining the role play and keeping the assassin up-to-date if necessary.
- Moderators who can keep the role play running should I be in hiatus due to my somewhat current busy academic life.
- People to voice their opinions on who they want to see fight each other, people who wishes to act as the disposal force of corpses or lost assassins.
Finally:
The role play will begin when the thread receives a decent amount of applications and hopefully, a few moderators.
So let's wait in anticipation for that moment. Alright, you people, ready? It's Game Time!
People who have expressed their interest:
Karthus
Mundo
Vergil
Elise
Jay
Ahri
People who have submitted an application:
Vergil (Granted, your unmovable huge gigantic howitzer cannon with your rank of 4th place in the UAA. Note: Serves as a Challenger defense character. )
Jay (Granted, my motorcycle enthusiast, along with your rank of 10th place in the UAA.)
Karthus (Well I am quite surprised he is Rping himself. Just to clarify, our good reaper here don't get his ult. Can be beaten and yes, is nerfed. What he said himself:
[16:05:41] Experiment Alpha/Karthus: Well, Karth is made of bones.
[16:06:01] Experiment Alpha/Karthus: Smash him hard enough, he will break. And then subsequently reform, but break nonetheless.)
(Granted with the rank of 11th)
(Will concede should he sees the strength in his challenger's power... And unfortunately for us at the UAA, bolts rank 1-3 whenever they starting boasting too much. )
(Serves as a Challenger Defense character, except rank 1-3... Extremely Rare)
(EDIT: The Rank 1 Assassin, Vigeant Lanpier, The Extravagant Lancer is now dead due to Karthus. Rank 1 is now open.)
Shen (I'll just do the courtesy of putting Wraith at 8th)
Mundo (Yes yes, you and your reptilian/bug fantasy will be placed at 6th place in the UAA. We can work out some details later if you wish. Do finish your ult sometime.)
Ahri (Through I would say Suigintou should I obey my heart's desire, but I fear the lightning. Well, she's 3rd afterall.)
