The humming of the machines in the room reverberated in his skull, stirring him. The beeps made a monotonous background, almost enough to lure him back to sleep. But there was something to be done... He opened one eye, before quickly closing it against the harsh light. His hearing and sense of smell were out of the question, the machines drowning everything out while the smells of unnatural chemicals clogged his nose. Trying again, he managed to get one of his bright green eyes open, squinting as he let himself adjust to the overwhelming white rays of light. Forcing himself to his feet, he tried to gather his mind for coherent thought. This place...It was no den of his, nor a temporary refuge. Determined to investigate, his attempt to move was foiled by the unyielding force of the chains binding him. Hissing in irritation, he lowered himself to a crouch to conserve his energy as he sought the source of this situation. Slowly sweeping his head, he investigated the room. Noting the small, bloody patch at his feet, he vaguely remembered eating, and realized that the haziness of his mind from then was no longer present.
Hissing with delight to himself, he strained against his shackles once more, this time utilizing his claw as he began sawing at what he decided was the weakest part of the chain. One eye devoted itself to watching the rooms entrance warily, as he brought the blades to bare on one of the chains binding his right arm. Finally, with a clank, the chain fell open onto the foot he'd moved for that purpose. Taking hold, he set it down to the side. Knowing that stealth was the utmost priority for now, he moved onto the next binding. The hunt was merely beginning, this only the stalking before the violent action of the take-down.

The laboratory was cold and the light was artificial casting strange and twisted shadows over the walls. There at the center of the laboratory on a different room that the one to keep the specimen for study there where two men….well more than men prodigies on their field that had renounced humanity to walk beyond it…with complications. “I’m preparing the dose Warwick remember that the injection is in the heart so…bear with it like always and try not to go feral from the pain.” A tall man skinny and bald with lab coat covering his visage and revealing his nature as a scientist aid to the half human half wolf hybrid sitting on the table,

A grunting reply came from the wolf man. "I know how the damn shot works Singed. You've done it hundreds of times. Just get it over with." He hated getting these injections. They hurt like crazy and slowed him down. it repressed part of his animal side, which severely hampered his senses and movements.
But worst of all, they didn't work as well as they used to. Every new one was just a little bit weaker. How long until they had no effect at all?

The sawing continued, the soft grating the only sound from his room besides the machines. Ferally delighted, he finished sawing through the first of the ones on his legs, determinedly beginning to slice through the metal at a much faster rate. The sounds began to slowly rise in volume, but he made sure not to make them blatantly obvious and to just seem like another humming. One last barrier held him from freedom, and the Voidreaver decided he wasn't one to let anything keep him from it.
His green eyes changed to a shade of orange, as the thermal-sensing layer on the back of his eye dropped into place. The room changed to various shades of blues, greens, and oranges, but nothing shaped like a humanoid had come through...Yet.

“I know I know believe me I almost as annoyed with this seasons as you.” He said with a slightly annoyed voice. He then took the serine it was huge, big enough to go into the heart of the beastman and pump the liquid that would calm the animal inside him until the last ingredient could be found “Now steady and contain yourself” he said pressing it making the liquid travel from the container to the needle into the hart of the beast. Singed was concentrated in not committing one single mistake the preparation dosage even the mount her injected and where was all crucial to its success making it impossible for him to hear the unnatural noise in the guineapigs room.

With a soft clang, the last chain split. Rising to a standing position, he stretched out all of the muscles that had stiffened from their lack of use. Buzzing his wings slightly, he made a soft clicking sound deep in his throat as he accessed the echo-location he'd once adapted for. Waiting as they bounced back to him, he realized that the hunter-beast and the binder of these chains were nearby. Hissing softly, he waited until he'd figured out at least a likely way out before dashing from the room. His scales softly scraped along stone, but he made no other sound as he ran through the halls besides for the patter of his feet striking the stone. Scanning the hall far ahead of him, he routinely repeated his echo-location in order to maintain his orientation in this foreign environment.

"I'm ready! Just do it! he growled at the chemist.
Warwick roared in pain as the needle punctured his heart. Then a liquid coolness began to spread throughout his body. His muscles would strain, then relax completely. Soon the serum had spread throughout his body. The lupine hunter sagged on the table he sat on. The beast seemed to relax as he did. Last time, it took him 3 hours before he was back to peak. He wondered how long this time would take.
His body felt sluggish and his senses were hazy. He groaned and turned himself over, both him and the beast waiting before they were well again.

Singed finished and took out the needle as always his partner was spend and relaxed in the place where he had gotten the shot. He sat and relaxed beside him lighting up a cigar and taking out a bottle of whiskey “Do you want some? I’m pretty sure it shouldn’t mix with your medicine…like back in high school.” He said chuckling but it was laughing matter and hell he knew they were running out of time he could create something else but how long until he had run out of formulas? How long until he had run out of formulas or the side effects were just too much to bear?

Hearing the voices, Kha'zix halts as he hunkers low. Scenting the beast that had brought him here, he hissed quietly. The only path led through that room... Cautiously approaching the entrance, he slowly slid his claws into there combat positions. Remaining out of sight, heused his echolocation to map oout where everything in the room was. Soon, it would be time to leap, chase, fight, kill. Something spoke to him from deep inside, drawing him to the conclusion that perhaps consuming the tall one would give him the mastery of concoctions he vaguely remembered. Folding his wings tight to his body, he slowly prepared for what was to come.

"Hell yes I need a drink." he muttered. He sloppily grabbed a glass and poured his own whiskey. Even in the slight stupor from the shot, he couldn't help but feel on edge, like something was off. Even under the formula, the beast felt restless. Warwick ignored the feeling, deciding to enjoy himself best he could.

“Well my friend I hope you can hold the glass because I’m not giving it to your mouth” he said pouring some liqueur in the glass and giving it to Warwick “You seem a little…restless is there something? I know your instincts are sharper that your sense specially after taking the potion and feeling a little…weak.”

The moment comes upon the Voidreaver, almost like the calm before the storm. His body springs into action, claws extending as his legs tense up, then release him into a leap. His vibrate madly at his back, filling the room with a obnoxious humming as he rebounds against the wall on the opposite side of the room and leaps again at the two with his claws angled to impale the tall one.

Warwick gave a low growl at Singed as he seized his own glass. "I'm impaired, not bloody comatose." He took a drink, savouring the taste and sensation.
"You know how it is. I get on edge not having my sense working at full capacity. He went to take another sip, but it was then that he heard the attack coming. He inwardly cursed as he leaped to intercept the attack from hitting Singed. If only he was a full capacity, he would have heard this coming sooner and been more ready. He just hoped in his sluggish state he could fight properly.

Even without enhanced senses or reflexes thanks to Ww’s warning Singed counted with barely enough time to react and use a nearby heavy metallic tray to cover for the worst of the impact from Kha’s claws and moved away from the creatures assault “Well it seems that this is quite the incident” he said looking at his partner who was still numbed from the injection.
Post by The Voidreaver on Jan 23, 2014 23:35:07 GMT -5
His claws clanging from the tray, Kha'zix hissed viciously in irritation. His muscles had atrophied during his captivity, or he would've had the skinny one. He skips away from the beastman nimbly, his wings buzzing behind him and providing him a slight boost to the distance. Squeezing with the muscles in his shoulders, he launches the deadly array of spines at the two. He focuses his aim on the beastman, now, as he notices that he seems...sluggish. One foe was easier to face than two, so it is better to take down the less dangerous one now.
