Outside the tents of the Winter's Claw was the wide, snow covered tundra of the Freljord. It was overladen with white, and looked almost picturesque save for the encampment which broke the scenery and the paths of footsteps found imprinted in the snow. Still, as far as the Winter's Claw's temperament went, their home was rather naturally beautiful, even if they had to carve out a life from the barren land and snow here. The recent encounters with the Void didn't help much. Regardless, it was a harsh, beautiful place that they lived in. As seen from the outskirts of their home, it was mostly barren white, save for the presence of forests in the extreme distance and the looming purple mountain tainted by the void's energies. Yet, in this distance something new showed itself. It was a little blue dot on the horizon, very distant at first, but it slowly grew bigger over time. This little blue dot started to elongate itself, and it became apparent this was a person walking towards their camp.
The guards who were at the camp's entrance were naturally prepared for anything, and anyone who might appear, even if it were a single person. The figure was a woman, covered in traveling clothes and donning a light blue cloak which sat on her shoulders. A bow and quiver was strapped to her back, both currently not revealed or held in a hostile manner. She walked up to the guards and took off her hood, revealing a mess of curly red hair and freckled skin.
"I come bearing a letter for your leader, from mine. I would like to pass."

The guards had seen it; the sight of even a single person was enough to put enough guards upon watch. They were aware of someone in their territory, the scouts had reported it. The courier had made no effort to hide her presence. No doubt of the Avarosan tribe. Upon arriving she was greeted by a small group of about four men armed with bows, swords and shields.
“Very well Avarosan. Remember your place. This is Winter Claw territory.”
They would escort her into the encampment, unfriendly faces and neutral faces starring at the messenger. They owed the tribe a debt for aiding them but it did not make them allies. To buckle due to one favor would simply be sickening. Another guardsman entered her hut; Sejuani was busy maintaining her weapon. It helped her think. The Void invasion complicated much.
“Sejuani. There’s a woman here from the Avarosan tribe. She bares a message.”
She turned to the warrior with an expectant look. “Send her in.”

The scout braced herself; Sejuani was not a woman to trifle with. She would try to be as brief with her as possible. She figured she would receive her better that way, especially since she was an Avarosan. She breathed in the cold air, and exhaled it slowly before she walked in. There before her was the angry Winter's Claw leader hersef, and she knew what she had to do.
"Winter's Wrath." She said, addressing her more... renowned title. She reached into her coat and pulled out a folded piece of paper, sealed with wax emblazoned with the famous bow and arrow of Avarosa. The letter was presented to Sejuani, held and extended by a pale, freckled hand.
"From Tryndamere." She knew better than to raise her ire and address him as the King in front of her, although many have.
If and before Sejuani took it, she would add one last thing.
"I have stationery on hand if you would like to send a reply."
As Sejuani would, inevitably, snap open the wax and view its contents, this is what laid within.
Sejuani,
I know who butchered your men. He is the same thing that killed my family, and the clansmen and women of my youth. When I was just a few years past the age I could hunt with the others, my clan was assaulted by riders in the dark, and a monster. We handled the riders easily, but that creature... he ripped men in half before my eyes, and cut us down. He threw me aside, and began my path of rage. He is dangerous.
His name is Aatrox.
He wants war between us. I will not let him have the satisfaction. If I find him, I'll send you his wings once I tear them from his back.
-Tryndamere
The courier did not know what was inside. She would be reading Sejuani's face to see her reaction.

The Winter’s Wrath took the letter and read it. Had it been Ashe, she would have felt that perhaps this was some sort of trickery being used against her. It still could have been trickery. The Barbarian “King” was almost cut from the same cloth that she knew, left to fend for them self and to carve out their own path in this unforgiving land. The courier didn’t know what was to come but she could see the brief confusion of a furrowed brow and then the folding of the letter.
“Stationary will not be needed. I will be departing with you.” She spoke with a voice thick with resolve and placed her intense gaze upon the courier before her. “After I have made preparations, we will leave. Until then, help yourself to rest, warmth and a meal.” She trusted that this woman would not be foolish enough to attempt anything, lest she be met with a messy end. With a tall posture and strong steps she made her way out of her hut.

The words that came out of Sejuani's mouth caused a look half in disbelief and half in horror to emerge on the courier's face.
...she... she was coming to Rakelstake?!
She merely stayed still in this frozen, panicked state until Sejuani strode from the room, only then did she start to pace around in worry at the implications this could mean, what that letter could have possibly said to cause the leader of the Winter's Claw to come to the Avarosa. Her mind was overcome with what all this meant, but she didn't know what, and wouldn't, even as she returned home. For a good few minutes she was on edge like this until she started to calm down... Sejuani's mind was set, and there was nothing she could do to sway that, and she still had a few hours to kill. She would rest up, warm herself to their fires and cooking, but she would never lose that tenseness about her; all of it was concerning to her mind, and she thought the worst rather than the best. Regardless of how she felt and how plainly it could be seen on her face, she would have strength enough for the return trip home.
