Name:
J D. Rainey
Alias:
WindSeeker
Class:
Mage/Fighter
Race:
Human
Age:
25
Occupation:
Defeating the fire nation and restoring balance to the world Mastering the art of Wind for Ionia
Residence:
Ionia
Alignment:
Neutral Good
J's use of abilities involve using his blade Ti-Dez in conjunction with his Ki to execute abilities, though Ti-Dez is a weapon that has been passed for close to 200 years the training he is going through with it is actually reasonable/slow pace since the weapon is in no rush to make a master out of a student.
If pushed into a combat situation J will avoid drawing Ti-Dez simply for the fact he's unable to control the weapon properly and could end up hurting his enemy as well as himself if he uses it recklessly.
Abilities:(if needed)
Wind Gust: J uses his hands to send a force of wind under an unsuspecting target's feet, causing them to trip and take minor damage.
Range-30 feet
Cooldown- 15 seconds
Wind's fury- J unsheathes Ti-Dez and throws out a slash that unleashes a powerful force of wind that deals moderate damage in an arc to those who come into contact with it.
Range- from J's current position out to a max of 30 feet
Cooldown- 45 seconds
Flight- J uses the wind around him to take flight. During this time he is unable to use Wind's fury as well as his other wind abilities.
Cooldown-5 minutes once the limit is reached
Miscellaneous skills-
Decent climber from living in the mountains for 5 years
Somewhat good navigator with how in-touch he is with the wind.
Terrible swimmer
Equipment:
His older brother's lucky relic that illuminates his surroundings if in the darkness, used for exploring caves etc
His first weapon of choice, the Bisento Ti-Dez
Ti-Dez's relationship with J is quite simple and can be looked at as a somewhat symbiotic relationship. The weapon is bonded to J's Ki rather than his soul, so that when the time comes and J dies the things that Ti-Dez learned from him are carried on with the next wielder as it has been since he has been shared.
The weapons history:
Long ago there was a undisputed master of the art of wind in the land known as Ionia who taught those who wished to learn his art as long as he thought they were capable of grasping it, but eventually so few worthy students came for teaching that he decided to make an instrument to hopefully make learning easier. So he closed himself out for a few months and crafted the weapon known as Ti-Dez, the Bisento imbued with the element of wind, it is safe to assume that the master requested the assistance of a mage in order to create it as well. But from then on the next student that showed promise was given the weapon under the request that if he find someone worthy of learning wind he pass it onto them when the time comes.
Relationships:
Has general knowledge of what's been going on in Ionia as far as important figures and the announcements they'd have made to the public, but doesn't personally know any of them.
Yasuo- Maybe he saw him while he was traveling around Ionia to attempt to find inner peace?
Zed- Currently a welcomed guest at his temple and pending to learn the basics of the Shadows.
Description:
Height: 6'2
J can typically be found wearing the clothes in his image, though he has a running tattoo on his arms that runs from there to the shoulders in the form of a white dragon. He also has a large tattoo in the form of a J on his lower back as a memory to his brother rather than his name as anyone who's seen it would suggest.
Due to his older brother instilling in him the inability to discriminate (even against the noxians who killed him) he's accepting to any and all out of force of habit.
Biography:
J was born in a village in Ionia with a single mother and a older brother by the name of Johnathan, his older brother was known as a prodigy in combat by his peers and sensei at their dojo. He was so skilled in combat that when the Noxian occupation of Ionia was in full swing and battles were being fought that the sensei entrusted him with a sacred weapon of wind passed from master to student fit for someone like him who showed such prowess, though their village had it's wins and losses as the battles came Johnathan and the elders of the village kept it together through the tough times. During this time a 12 year old J did his best to help by working with some of the other older children to get the women and children of their village to safety whenever the battles were close as well as train with the members of the dojo and his brother just in case he ever needed to step up and fight as well. this continued until one battle when the Noxians were accompanied by an experienced veteran to help make a turn the tide in their favor and Johnathan had finally met someone who could match every move he made, their battle lasted nearly an entire day before Johnathan's guard dropped for a split second that resulted in him being mortally wounded.
J was watching the battle from a fair distance and was overcome with rage and sadness as his brother fell, despite the danger of the battlefield he rushed to his brothers side and managed to drag him to a safety hut, but the veteran wouldn't leave it at that. He wanted to see Johnathan die before him despite the injury he had given him, Johnathan pleaded with J to just leave him and get to safety but instead he did the opposite. As the veteran approached them he had grabbed Johnathans Bisento and swung it with all his might at him, though the initial blow had been easily avoided the blade had sent an extremely strong force behind it that had sent him flying into a wall that nearly brought it down. This had also knocked J unconscious and into the opposite wall, causing what materials were in the hut to fall and spark a fire, Johnathan struggled to drag the unconscious J (and himself) out before the flames consumed them. though this had cost him what little life he had left within him to fade bringing him to death.
Shortly after this battle J had come to the conclusion that he was entirely to blame for his brothers death, from his prospective if he had been stronger and not fallen unconscious from using his weapon he would've had a chance to survive. Once the war ended he took the weapon and decided that he would become stronger so that no one would ever had to sacrifice themselves for him again. He spent the next 5 years training alone in the mountains before he decided to return to his village and attempt to re-establish his life until the sensei approached him and gave him something his brother had left behind the day he passed away meant as a gift for his little brother, his old lucky relic coin and questioned if he had forgiven himself yet. The sensei suggested talking to someone named Ti-Dez and seeing how he felt then, J didn't quite understand that statement but did decide it was time to forgive his past actions by making a trip to his brothers grave and give a farewell speech, with the burden lifted from him he felt relieved and heard a voice though no one was near him. It was the... Bisento? J held it in his hands and questioned how a blade could speak, but it simply ignored that and offered him the chance to become just as or possibly greater in terms of strength than his brother if he would listen and follow his guidance as Johnathan did, not knowing how exactly to approach this situation J agreed and suddenly felt a chill throughout his body to which Ti-Dez simply stated that now they were one.
As the training started for J Ti-Dez decided to answer his questions as he was now sure that J would be more or less prepared with the choice he had made. Ti-Dez was a weapon crafted long ago by the will of a master of wind, when the master died a remnant of his will found itself to the weapon. From that day on Ti-Dez would be passed from master of wind to student, with the latest being from Johnathan to J, though he questioned why even though he had been using the weapon for years why he only now spoke to him. Ti-Dez responded by saying that while J physically inherited Ti-Dez he wasn't ready mentally to truly grasp him and when he decided to grow up and forgive himself by saying farewell to his brother was he ready to move forward with his life and continue his brother's legacy. Slowly but surely absorbing and accepting this J received training from Ti-Dez from then to the present, protecting his village and Ionia whenever the moment presented itself.
