Name: Nishimura Takeo
Alias:
Class: General/Soldier
Race: Human
Age: 45
Occupation: General of Ionia
Residence: Ionia
Alignment: Lawful Good
Equipment:
He carries around his own katana. It has an intricate design of a dragon on it. He also wears the usual heavy armor expected of his rank, he also has a Uma-jirushi on his back. He rides into combat alongside his bodyguard on horseback.
Relationships:
Irelia: One of his best officers and most respected officers. For many reasons, the one weighing the most is just the fact that she's the type who leads by example.
Description:
Standing at 6'1 and with a stocky build. His expression usually grim, a result of being in battles for so long. Scars mark his body. He has black hair and brown eyes.
Biography:
Birth
He was born to farmers in a small village in the Western part of Ionia, a family of seven (five if not including the parents), him being the second child. He had always considered himself lucky in that regard. He was neither the first born, the youngest, or the middle child. Of course their was one thing. The males in his family had all served in the military at one point and though Ionia was a peaceful city-state, it didn't change the fact that sometimes the application of force was necessary, least in some people's opinions. This of course being the opinion of his family.
And so he was raised on that belief...
Teenage Years
His father began training his three sons in the usage of weapons. Starting with just wooden sticks and working their way up. Out of all of them though it was the oldest son that proved to be the best. With the youngest son following and Takeo last. It was almost a competition of sorts. They all wanted to prove they were better than the other. Yet, Takeo was met with failure, considered the least ready to be a soldier. But he did have a few redeeming qualities. Never giving up and the capability to lead. Even then, he still wanted to become the best fighter. He trained day and night, readying himself for when he turned eighteen.
Recruitment
Now an adult by standards, he was ready. By all standards he went through this phase just like any other. The difference was his ascent. It had been made apparent that Takeo was a natural born leader. He'd be the one to inspire others during training, and during mock battles would usually be the one chosen to lead. With the record he put it, it was obvious that he could be molded into a future officer. By age twenty-three he was put into officer school, learning military skills as well as leadership.
Invasion
6 CLE.... Noxians invade Ionia. Nishimura Takeo now a Captain in the military. To him this was his chance to prove his worth. He wanted to make damn sure that the Noxians would pay for every inch of land taken. While some Ionians would rather sue for peace. Nishimura Takeo on the other hand wanted vengeance. The whole point of war afterall was not to die for your country, but make the other bastard die for his, and he would gladly lead his men to do just that.
Yet, his men would indeed be pushed back. All the way to the Placidium where the Great Stand occurred. Unphased with his losses he was more worried about his own men. Their morale hadn't faired well after seeing the effects of the invasion and the Zaunite chemical weapons didn't help. Even worse was the Ionians considering surrender. To Nishimura Takeo this was almost cowardice. He would never surrender to
these dogs. If such a thing were to occur he already planned on taking his most loyal soldiers and dissappearing into the forests, forming a resistance.
But that never occurred... A young girl... Irelia herself held the line. This was it. The inspiration he needed to turn his men on the Noxians.
"You know my dad always said that just one drop of rain could change everything. I thought it was a load of bullshit, some proverb for farmers. Guess I finally understood what he meant that day." - General Nishimura Takeo
He still rememebered that day, and what he said to them as well. "Come on you lazy grunts! Are you going to let her take all the glory!? Get in the fight!" His katana unsheathed and he let loose a shout as he charged toward the Noxians, his own company following behind.
Soon after Ionia would enter the League, which meant any other battles would be done through there. Of course this also meant Nishimura Takeo couldn't participate. It was bad enough the League gave no assistance during the war, but now they were turning it into a sport? Unbelievable. In his own mind he could have easily taken the fight to the Noxians. But that didn't matter for the Ionians would lose the first match leaving the southern provinces under occupation for years till a rematch could occur. He watched it till the very end, breaking into a victorious shout as they won.
Aftermath
He would return home a hero in a sense, but things wouldn't bode well. His two brothers had never returned. From what his family had told him, the eldest died of exposure to chemicals before he could even fight and the youngest was killed later on during the stalemate.
Current
Now a general in the Ionian military. He still bares the scars of his past. Even with the League around he still felt like he had some meaning, who knows what could happen in the future. To that end he wasn't at all surprised when Noxus split. Even less when the League didn't even try to stop them. Now to add to things their were Noxians on Ionian soil. He wasn't going to let Ionia fall. They would remember his name and the 2nd Army (Placeholder?).
