Outside the city of Piltover, a lone man stood, leaning up against a tree, trying to keep warm in the winter weather. His clothes suggested he expected the weather, wearing a heavy coat and thick pants. His blonde hair getting swiped to the side as a small wind blew in. His rifle rustled against him as he stood waiting for his crew as well as his special guest to show up.
Though Ray didn't consider himself a smoker, he lit up a cigarette, trying to ease his nerves for the heist that was about to happen. Every other breathe he would blow out some smoke as he continued waiting for his team to show, his signature skull mask hanging on his side.

A few feet next to Ray something out of the ordinary would begin to happen, an abundance of shadows gathering together fiercely to make out a figure. Upon inspection it would appear the shadows were creating another shadow, a tall hooded heavily clothed shadow, but this was not the case. It was simply James trying out a projection spell to meet up with his fellow bandit, once the shadows finally finished making him out he chuckled with a nod of notice to Ray.
"Well that's another spell in the book, though a little too dramatic for my tastes. What say you Ray?" James asked curiously, he didn't care if Ray liked the new spell or not because he was just trying to avoid letting his mind slip away to the cold even though he was in his usual attire of an abundance of robes and his signature hood.

Once again, Kin found herself overlooking the mechanical click-clack city of Piltover, where cogs and bolts and screws held the place together. She didn't know how people could live like this. She touched the bark of the branch she was sitting on, feeling the smoothness and roughness at the same time. A small smile touched her lips. At least this was authentic enough.
However, the appreciation quickly vanished when the smell of smoke wafted through the light, snowy air and straight to her olfactory senses. She wrinkled her nose slightly, glancing down. It seemed that Ray had gotten here at last, indulging in a bit of a habit she highly criticized with deathly glares at every opportunity though it seemed said opportunity was scarce (which she was thankful for).
Perhaps a few minutes later, James made his appearance and Kin looked down once again this time noting the muddled collection of varying shades of ink, almost like a chess board against the snow-flaked ground. "Shadows, hm?" She chuckled to herself. Though she wouldn't claim to call that trick her own, it was still amusing to see him attempt the darker-than-black arts.
Kin slipped down, making sure her sickles were attached firmly to her back, the chains clinking softly as she swung down and landed in front of the pair lightly. She stood, rubbing her hands together. Though the cloak she had provided ample protection from the sun, it didn't do much for the cold wind that gusted over frosty breath and slightly chilled skin.
Her mask was left wrapped around her mouth but her voice rang decidedly rough and clear. "Shadows don't seem to like you," she commented towards James, having heard his question directed towards their sniper. "What if you leave a bit of yourself somewhere in between?. Like that." Kin would have jabbed a finger at the man's hood to where his face should be but decided it was too cold to even try. "What are we even waiting for?"

The pigtailed blunette was sitting on top of the outermost wall of the city, looking out at the assigned meeting place where three figures gathered. Her feet bounced distractedly as she watched them, barely made out the movement of lips as they spoke to one another. Her head was tilted to one side and the hand not currently flicking the trigger of Pow-Pow twirled a braid in time with the movements of both her trigger finger and bouncing feet. When she felt she'd waited long enough, she somersaulted off the wall and rolled through the thick snow a few times before she hopped back up onto her feet.
From a side satchel, she withdrew a hookshot, aimed it for the branch Kin had just descended from, and squeezed the trigger. In the space of a heartbeat the claw buried in the bark, sent chips raining down on the trio of bandits. With a laugh, Jinx was being propelled forward to the tree and the moment she was close enough, she dropped the barrel of the gadget and let her forward momentum fling her the rest of the way up onto the branch. The treads of her sneakers ground into the tree limb as she twisted to grip it for support and laid her waist over the beam to bend down and greet her "employers" with an upside grin. "Sup nerds! You ready to hav-- whoa!!"
A creak was the only warning before the branch cracked under the girl's paltry weight where her metal claw had dug into it. With a startled yelp she crashed onto the ground, taking one or two of the trio down with her though with hardly an lasting damage. She rolled around in the snow again, unconcerned for her now pink exposed arms and legs, and giggled like a madwoman. "Ahahahahahaha! That was GREAT! You grabbers ready for a spot'a fun while the city's unaware? For about TWO SECONDS BEFORE I BLOW SHIT UP!!"
Ray inhaled the cigarette one last time before flicking the bud into the snow covered ground. Kin always seemed to nag him when she caught him smoking, he wasn't sure if it was because she cared for his health or she just cared for her's. As she spoke, Ray looked up, catching a glimpse of Jinx's entrance.
"That's wha-"
Was all that Ray could get out before getting brought to the ground with his newest partner. His face was buried in the snow for a few seconds before he was able to lift himself up. He sneezed to the side as his nose started to become a tinted red. Getting himself off the ground and back onto his feet, he offered his hand to Jinx.
"This is what we were waiting for..."
He coughed trying to clear his throat after the one cigarette.
"Let me introduce our new business partner, Jinx, The Loose Cannon. She's given the chief of police and her lackies the slip more times than she can probably count. And that's why she'll be working with us today."
Looking at both of his usual partners then to Jinx, he began to explain the plan to them all.
"Jinx here, will be drawing out Caitlyn and any other special force unit that they have devoted for major robberies. She'll start a rampage on the opposite side of the city after I shoot off a signal flare. After we've given the police time to respond, we'll hit the vault they're currently keeping the town's gold at. I'll use my remote charges to take down the wall guarding the gold, then Mr. Hyers will do his magic and transport the gold to a boat that I have stationed in the nearby harbor. Kin will make sure we all make it to said boat, and depart with our loot. When we are about to leave the port, I'll shoot off another flare signaling that the operation was a success, meaning Jinx can make her escape. We'll take the boat to Zaun and wait for Jinx to give her her part of the share."
The blonde haired sharpshooter took a breathe after explaining how everything would work out.

Kin watched the still smoky stick of sickness fly from Ray's hand and into the snow, a small wisp floating from around the edges as it lay there. Before she could comment or kick more snow over it, a sharp twang shot through the air and her body immediately jerked back. She took a few more steps away as rough bark flew from the tree, nicking her skin right as another made her entrance.
Kin saw the blur of blue hair and a wicked smile before a thin girl appeared right above the other two. She squinted, her head tilting slightly as the stranger began to speak only to have her words cut short as the branch gave way with a loud crack and the bluenette fell straight down, laughing the entire way. She frowned slightly. How Ray managed to find people like this was beyond her understanding and she wasn't certain she wanted to.
Her fingers touched the chain of her sickles when said male stood, her lips moving silently beneath her mask almost as if she were muttering complaints to herself. Nevertheless, she managed a slightly nod, feeling a smidgen of smugness when the smoker coughed. The introduction went on, theatrics thankfully kept out of sight but Kin was no less suspicious of this Jinx character. She decided not to bring any of her thousand questions to light and decided to tune-in when Ray began to go over the 'plan'.
It all seemed... relatively fine, though things always sounded better than it really was. Except... Zaun. Were it not for the mask covering at least 60% of her face, they would have seen the look of distaste shadow her mouth. But even as her brow creased, she nodded once again. She didn't quite understand why "Mr Hyers" didn't just transport the gold some place else. But Kin didn't want to pretend she understood the faceless mage's magic or capabilities.
Though something Jinx had said stuck out to her and she tapped her fingers against the metal links on her waist, the sound comforting her when she spoke up. "I think we're going to need more than two seconds if she's planning to 'blow shit up'." Her eyes were on Ray, not so eager to look at the crazy swimming through the bluenette's own manic gaze. "I can't make sure people don't get squashed from falling buildings. Besides... didn't you used to live here, Ray?"
Kin wasn't the first person to go to when it came to patriotism but from what she remembered, the blonde didn't really have anything against this city. Or at least, not enough to encourage an insane sociopath to destroy it. At least, she wouldn't condone the destruction of Ionia though the Shadow Order was a... different matter. But before she let Ray answer her question, she shook her head. "Nevermind. Lets get started then."

"You know I could probably find my face if I spent enough time in there, Kin." James replied casually, though he knew it was a lie the second he spoke it. And he was about to reply to Ray's remark when they found themselves in the company of what appeared to be a girl with long blue pigtails, even better was the fact she fell on top of Ray causing James to burst out in laughter shortly before wiping a fake tear away.
"Oh man, I can already tell this is going to be GREAT." He managed to say nearly overcome by the brief moment of the comedy brought to them by who he could only assume was their associate for this job in Piltover.
Nonetheless James went back to his usual silence as Ray introduced them to who they would be working with, Jinx. James wondered how one person could cause the Piltover police force such trouble, but he guessed it wouldn't matter as long as she proved she had earned the title "Loose Cannon" and did her part of the job. James found himself stuck with transporting the gold in the bank to their boat, easy enough... as long as things decided to run smoothly for them, which they happened to most of the time. Though that didn't stop James from being nervous, it wasn't everyday you teamed up with a vigilante and robbed a bank from the most advanced city in the world. But James supposed he would simply have to suck up and do his part to make sure they succeeded in this heist.
Once Ray had finished explaining the plan he uttered a simple "Got It." and got a tight grip on his staff ready to give a warm-up for what would be coming next for them, though Kin speaking him put that on hold as she raised a point of concern, namely at Ray since this city-state was his home. James didn't bother to pitch in, he simply turned his attention to Ray but found himself disappointed as Kin had dropped the question just as quickly as she had raised it. Whatever reason Ray was ok with doing partial destruction to his home and robbing it was his own, maybe he was more than just a contact with this Jinx? Who knew, better yet who cared? James just wanted to get his cut of the loot so he could get his next venture underway.

"ACTUALLY I CAN TOTALLY COUNT HOW MANY TIMES I'VE GIVEN 'EM THE SLIP. See? One, two, three, six, ten, seventy eight, ninety-nine, seven! Seven times. See? I can count good." She giggled manically, then stopped abruptly as the de facto "leader" of the group began explaining the plot of their little play. Her head lolled back on her shoulders, hung limply towards the ground as she mouthed several of the words Ray spoke, mocking him in silence.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah! We get it! I make the noise, you grab the toys! C'mon, c'mon, c'mooooon! I'm gettin' bored just sittin' here! Point me in the right direction and I'll make 'em wish they'd never woken up this morning!"
"The treasure is located in the middle of Piltover, part of its central spire. The harbor is to the east of that, we're going to need as much time as we can get. So the West part of town is the ideal target for you."
Looking at her, he decided pointing would just be easier. He turned and pointed to the western part of the town.
"That way."
Turning to his partners, he caught a sliver of what Kin said. Putting his mask on now, he replied back to her, his words coming from behind the familiar skull mask.
"There is a limit to what I'd do for pay, the destruction of my city and the death of a couple innocent isn't it."
Slipping in to his more serious tone he turned back to Jinx, showing her the green tinted bullet that would be used to signal her rampage.
"You don't start the attack until I shoot this off, got it? If we're not in position when you start causing chaos, then there's less of a chance we'll make it out with the gold."
Letting out one final large breath he started to walk into the city.
"Lets move. No more names between the three of us, if you have to call out to one of us, use initials. Don't want our names being plastered around Valoran. Got it? 'K', 'J'?"
Ray wouldn't be calling Jinx by anything different considering everyone already knew who she was.

James simply adjusted his hood and got a grip on his staff that was currently in his left hand, he was ready to get this job over with so he just made his reply quick.
"Got it R, let's get in and get out." That being said he followed Ray's lead into Piltover and awaited for the next set of actions.

Kin rolled her eyes. She wanted to mention that she did go by another name once and that having code-names was probably more than highly unnecessary. In the end though it didn't matter. She wondered what would happen if they were actually caught. Jinx would probably try to destroy things regardless and Kin half suspected that she wouldn't really care if she hurt anyone in the process. That seemed to be the point of it all. That just meant less work for her, she decided.
Following James and Ray, she fell behind the two, brooding as they made their way into Piltover once more. The bustle of life hadn't changed from the last time they had been here; Kin's fingers moved to pull the cloth around her mouth and nose a little higher. She hoped nobody would recognize her from the brief time she had it on. Her free hand was waiting by her side, clenching tightly, then loosening, itching to feel the soothing weight of her sickles. "Where am I to wait?" She asked softly.

"Watch fer yer pretty sickly green spot light, then launch 'em UP where the sun goes DOWN. Got it!" Without waiting for anymore instruction, the Loose Canon took off like her name sake. With cartwheels and somersaults, unconcerned with the clinging powder of snow that stuck to her hair and the back of her clothes, she bounded off towards the western edge of the city.
Moments later, still outside, she reached into her satchel and pulled out two cans of bright pink spray paint. "Gotta find somethin' to do pass the time, right?!" With a good shake of both cans, she popped the tops off with her thumbs and began painting a wide smiley face, leaving large X's for the eyes against a wall.
