The caravan through Yordle lands had been mostly uneventful, save for the unavoidable squabbling of such a varied group. Now they stood in a pass, high in the Sablestone Mountains, looking out over the desert. In the distance, the crooked black monoliths of Icathia loomed against the horizon. A dark cloud, stark against the desert sky, hovered, flashed lightning over the ruined city. Derrick steeled himself, puffed out his chest. The train of his diamond-hemmed robe was dusty, his golden hair disheveled, but his face was stern, determined.
Vera glanced back over the party. Some looked tired and irritable from the hike. Some glared around, obviously displeased by present company. But at least the squabbling had mostly quieted when they reached the peak, their destination finally swimming into view.
Icathia. It was clear, even from several miles out, that there was activity in the city. Some portal must have called the oppressive cloud; a purple glow radiated over the sand; static in the air made the hairs on the the adventurers' bodies stand straight.
Derrick looked over his shoulder. This party comprised some of the most fearsome mages and fighters in Valoran. He hoped it would be enough... "Shall we?" he said to no one in particular.

Fortune had half-way fallen asleep.. if it had hadn't been for the fact she was walking, she would have. Finally, when it seemed that they halted, she stretched and walked over to the front, tipping her hat to get a better view of the ruined city "Well well.. this is Icathia? ...Looks like a pile of rubble to me.." Fortune said, scratching her head as she knelt down next to Derrick

Jax looked at icathia,Ready for a true challenge out of the fields of justice,he was rather bored of always winning there,no matter if summoners or even jealous champions tried their best tactics to attempt to beat his unbeatable streak.
He looked around the ruined city, before saying.
"Well..i hope those void Creatures are ready to bring it on,because for me..." He then took out his lampost.

Derrick nodded slowly, his eyes still fixed on the horizon. The buildings stuck out at strange angles that gravity should not allow. Its monoliths seemed to twist and writhe in the purple light as though they were alive. "That's it, all right," he said. "Let's go. The sooner we reach it, the better."
Lightning flashed, illuminating mountain peaks. A clap of thunder followed behind it: so loud that the yak hitched to their cart reared up, nearly overturning their supplies into the gorge beside the path.

Through all this time, Jon was awake, not having slept for more than 3 hours at a time since their departure; it was imperative that as the team's medic that he be able to keep an eye on everyone.
As they approached Icathia, Jon walked up to the front, checking that he had everything that he brought along: his rifle was loaded, his medical satchel had all the syringes and other treatments, his medigun, though underpowered, was still at the ready, and of course his four Options were floating along behind him, all of them giving off a pulsating orange glow.
Stopping next to Derrick, he commented, "well, it looks like the place doesn't seem to be so welcoming, doesn't it," chuckling at that last remark.

Soraka's muscles were sore for the seemingly endless travel. When the group had stopped she was relieved for a break, but a massive wave of dread hit her in the gut the moment she saw Icathia. She could feel the evil lurking behind every shadow. The dangers that were ahead of the group were grave indeed. She stumbled up to the cart and turned to face everyone.
"Please, everyone do not get ahead of yourselves and try to show off. The moment we step foot in there we will be in terrible danger. There is a great evil afoot and we must take the utmost caution."
The cruelty of one will not blind me of the suffering of many.

Vera nodded in agreement with Soraka, a fellow Ionian and a champion of whom she was quite fond. "Yes, we don't know what lies within. When we near the city, we should form ranks accordingly, keep eyes trained on all sides, so we are not taken by surprise."
Derrick rolled his shoulders impatiently. "Let's talk while we walk," he said. "Just a few more miles." And he set off down the mountain path.
Miles later, their feet dragging through the sand, the party neared the towering city. An electricity hung in the air, an eerie, barely audible hum. The yak suddenly stopped dead in its tracks, refusing to go further. Though Vera enticed it with clicks and coos, it brayed, shook its head and remained firmly put in the dune overlooking the madness.
Here and there, spires rose up from the sand, black and glinting beneath the glow of the purple cloud, which still hovered oppressively above the city. Runes glinted on their obsidian surfaces, skittered about as though animate. Tunnels formed in mid-air, twisted up the sides of giant pillars, seemed to lead into nothingness.
A desert wind blew over the expedition. It carried a voice as deep and old as time: "Cr'luhagl. Na sgn'wahl Runterroth grah'n."
Vera's eyes grew wide. Growing light-headed, she gripped the cart for support. Derrick stopped in his tracks, put his hand over his heart, his diamond-hemmed robe streaming in the sinister breeze. A feeling of dread washed over the party--not of death, not of pain, but of the unknowable. The voice echoed out over desert sands.

Heimerdinger was sleeping in one of the cart's corners. He had spent most of the night before working on contraptions to utilize during the travel. With his laboratory, he would have finished them in less than an hour, but he wasn't accostumed to building with scrap metal.
The thunders and dark voices seemed to make his sleep uncomfortable. He shifted and turned, and with that, his tools and devices made metallic noises when colliding with each other.
((EDIT: Missread. I thought wer were travelling with Vehicles?))

Teemo had remained silent with the party the entire time, taking place at the front of the group. His gaze was always forward, never phasing or changing expression. When the yak stops, the scout didn't for a few moments before he realized that the others weren't following. He glances back when the voice comes. His fur bristles and his eyes dart cautiously around, but the captain can't see the source of the sound. With a short huff he returns to the group, looking up at the frightened yak.
"We shouldn't dawdle here. It's too open. These forces are unknown and could be very dangerous. I think we should find shelter for now, especially for the animal. Looks like we'll be carrying our own supplies from here on."
They approach Icathia, unknowing to where we invade.
That leaves us time. Consume them.
We know they are coming...champions of the old League. "They are coming to their deaths, their souls will serve me." Cho'gath thought. Cho gazed over what was happening at Icathia, multiple portals to the void and otherworldly beasts spilling out in droves. Icathia had grown dark and Twisted, sunlight did not prevail here anymore-only the dark and sinister corruption.. Where the beasts walked Dark Corruption followed, it had spread to the entire surrounding area of the ruins. The Destroyer had not arrived here...it was needed elsewhere to feed on humans.
Cho'gath roared, the voice echoing far to the expedition.
"mnahn' uh'e....fm'latgh."
Cho'gath laughed a terrifying..unearthly laugh to scare the expedition to its boots.
"Pitiful creatures....you come to die."

Jax couldnt help but roll his 6 eyes when cho'gath tried to intimidate the entire group,he has to try harder if he wants to scare the grandmaster himself.
"Yeah, let me hear that again from you when i see your bruised face thanks to my lamppost" He then paused for a bit, before grinning under his cloak.
"Flea Overlord" He laughed and slapped his knee, hoping the terror of the void would be insulted enough to bring it on.

Derrick whirled around, looking daggers at the Grandmaster. He clenched his fists to keep himself from seizing the champion by the collar, avoiding a potential conflict that would not likely end in his favor. "Will you shut up?" he settled upon, his eyes bulging.
Vera put a calming hand on his shoulder. "Derrick. Teemo's right. We shouldn't stand out in the open. Let's move into the valley and take shelter against a wall, so we're at least protected on one side." From their vantage point, the party could not yet make out the legion of abominations, the network of portals. They could only hear the bellowed warning of the Terror of the Void.
Vera strode quietly over to the cart. leaned over its side and laid a gentle hand on the Revered Inventor's shoulder. "Professor," she said, shaking him. "Professor, we're here."

Sivir walked briskly past everyone "We need to be cautious.. that goes for you, Grandmaster" she said, walking ahead of everyone. Her eye locked on the city as she headed for it, only stopping to turn back to the group "We are not going to get anything accomplished by simply gawking at it" she said before turning on her heels and walking back towards the city, cross blade in hand

It would take far more than a few taunts and verbal threats to intimidate Pantheon. The eerie feeling that washed over the group only served to make Pantheon clench his spear tighter. He remained on guard, letting his warrior's 6th sense for danger feed him all the information he needed. Were they to be attacked, instead of executing the planned attack, he would be more than ready. The antics of the other group members were registered by Pantheon, but he ignored them. He had the far more pressing matter of the enemy to pay attention to. Seeing Sivir take the initative and beginning to march on the city, he shrugged, and thought to himself, "Why not?". Spear and shield in hand, and sword firmly fastened on a belt around his waist, he quickly strode ahead, marching toward the coming battle.

Jon heard the calls, and then unexpectedly had trouble trying to not laugh. He had heard such taunts in his life before, and yet there he still was, staying alive to keep others the same way. He noticed several people, Sivir and Pantheon in particular, moving up, and so decided to keep up with them. He brought around his rifle, armed it, and moved up, keeping pace right behind Pantheon and Sivir, his Options floating right behind him. His rifle wasn't using the best ammunition, as he left it back in Piltover, but what it did use would hopefully be enough.
"Alright, you two, don't get too far ahead, we don't need the group to get split up," he said to the two, activating the flashlights on his rifle and Options to allow the group to be able to have some sort of vision on what might lay ahead.
"There's only one thing that I know for sure is true: 'Truth is relative.'" -Jon
"What side you're on isn't of concern to me. What is of concern is that you're hurt, and I need to treat you for it." -Jon
"Contrary to what some believe, violence does not solve everything. In fact, it solves nothing." -Jon
