Dec 20th, 23 CLE
Snowdown. A festival filled with joy and wonder, awe and amusement all across Runeterra. Summoners all over enjoy the festivities month round, with all these special events going on at the Institute.
Well... the Kumungu was certainly very lively, so much that Nidalee decided that it was far too lively for her. Of course not, the jungles were just as dull as ever. And of course, she wouldn't want to miss out on all the fun, would she? It was time to travel. Now which citystate could possibly be more excited about the festivities than Demacia? Perhaps it was time to visit.
Picking up her spear and reciting her transformation spell, Nidalee leapt off into the jungles in the direction of Demacia, packing nothing but a single wooden flask of water.
Dec 24th, 23 CLE
4 days, 4 nights it took her to reach Demacia, even in her enhanced form - with no rest except for sleep. Tired of course, there was nothing else to do at night in Demacia other than to rest at an inn. Maybe she would be joining in tomorrow.

Lucas sat at a table enjoying a meal at the inn when a rather exotic looking woman entered the building. She certainly stood out from the rest. "Wonder who that is and why she's here. She looks like that one champion. The one who turns into a cat."
He sat there, pondering wether he should go greet her or not. Normally he'd just sit back, but it was snowdown, and with another year ending, he was wondering if he shouldn't take an oppertunity like this. But the woman seemed exhausted. So he'd try to find out her intentions in the morning. There always was a next day, but Lucas was growing tired of waiting for it. Perhaps this foreigner could be a key to some reknown, some respect.

Palace
Shyvana was sitting in her room in the palace, dealing with some reports about various topics that had come in during the day. Most of them were the same; Saw a cat fighting a dog otherwise nothing special. However when Shyvana was about done she did reach a very interesting report.
Soldier: Barrett, Jennie. Rank: First Lieutenant. Company: Fire Company. Report:
7:14 PM I spotted a rather large feline animal moving towards the city gates, after disappearing out of sight for only a second it was gone. I'd guess it was larger than your typical dog, had something around its neck.
7:25 PM No sign of the feline creature, I and some men searched the area closest to the gate, but no sign of any animals other than cats and small dogs.
Shyvana was quite confused when she looked at it. A large feline animal with things around it's neck? It sounded familiar... Could it be the Huntress'? No... or could it? Shyvana shook her head and folded the report and put it away. Just three more to go and she was done for the night.
About thirty minutes later Shyvana was done, yawning stood up and stretched her arms. It was still not too late for one drink at least.
The Inn
Shyvana had been out looking for a place to drink, somewhere not too full of people and not completely empty. Having found a good place she walked in and looked around, freezing in place when she saw Nidalee at a table. The Half-Dragon walked up to the owner of the inn and ordered a pitcher of beer and two glasses. After paying for it she took it all with her to Nidalee's table and sat down in a chair.
"Last time I checked... the Kumungu jungle was far away from Demacia." Shyvana poured a glass for Nidalee and moved it to her. "It's been a while, Huntress."

What a surprise.
The thirst from her adventure had left her extremely parched, and despite that she would rather sleep outside in the woods, the very reason she came to this inn to rest was for some refreshments. Her flask had ran out, after all. Problem was, she had brought almost no money at all - and only enough to pay for this stay at the inn. Just a bit of a her savings from being in the League. 10 gold in all. And now she was dead broke. Probably should have brought more.
And somehow by sheer luck, a glass and pitcher brimmed with beer slid next her, enticing her to drink it all. Coming to sit opposite of her was Shyvana, the Half Dragon. Had she found out of her presence here? Nidalee looked around, before lifting the huge mug, stuffing her face with drink. After she was done, she set it (read as slammed) down with a satisfied grin. Bestial instinct took over as she began to play with her hair. She laid back before beginning to reply.
"Well, well, if it isn't my dear Half-dragon. What brings you here to have a drink with me today?" Nidalee purred amusingly, with a playful tone. "I'd like to thank you for the drink - needed it."
"Hmm... it has been a while. I barely come to Demacia. At least you're holding up your part of the deal, less woodcutters to the Kumungu. And, since it was Snowdown, I thought a visit was due."

Lucas was surprised at Shyvana's aproach, and slightly dissapointed. "Damnit... Well, there goes my chance. But she IS that champion, huh. How did I miss Shyvana, though? I need to be more alert.
He continued to eat and attempted to listen to the two, mainly because he was intrigued by the meeting of two more primal champions, and slightly because this was a good way to train. After all, a snapped branch usually meant something was sneaking, so it shouldn't go unheard or ignored.
"Just eat and listen, Lucas, eat and listen. Not like there is something better to do than train your ears, right?"

Shyvana poured herself a glass as well while Nidalee spoke, there had always been something to Nidalee's voice that made her seem... a bit different. Not that Shyvana wasn't different. The Half-Dragon yawned and shrugged.
"Well, I got a areport saying a rather large feline creature was moving towards the gates and then disappeared. I guessed it was you." Shyvana rose the glass to her lips and took a swig from it.
"Now, I did not expect to meet you in here. I'm glad that there are less woodcutters in the jungle now. The Jungle means a lot to me as well as it does to you, so it was only natural that I'd help."
The Half-Dragon took another swig from her beer. "So, Nidalee. I have a question for you. Both you and I are as the humans call it 'shape shifters', now I am wondering. How can you change so freely? What fuels your transformations?"
This was a subject Shyvana wanted to talk to Nidalee about, she admired Nidalee for her ability to change between forms so freely.

Picking her teeth with her spear, her eyes light up at the mention of her shape-shifting power. Herself was still rather confused as to how this power came about, it was simply so natural that it hadn't occured to her as something special. "Alright, let's take this outside then." Nidalee said, standing up and walking out the door. No pets allowed, after all.

Shyvana tilted her head and nodded, she put the glass against her lips once again and finished the glass and put it back on the table. Shyvana then stood up after Nidalee and followed her out of the bar. Luckily it wasn't snowing as it did most of the time and it wasn't too cold, but any cold was too cold for Shyvana.
Walking out into the snow behind the Huntress Shyvana stopped after they were about two meters away from the inn. "This far enough?" She asked and looked at Nidalee.

"I think so." Nidalee sighs, looking up into the sky. "My transformation is a power of nature, I myself am not quite sure how I acquired it." She began her explanation, trying to go slow. "It's better to show than tell."
Nidalee focused, bringing her palms together.
“Bigyan ako ng lakas.”
Nidalee's form shifted, her posture crouching on all fours, fangs grown outwards, mane groomed steadily. The little cougar pawed on Shyvana's legs, looking up to her.

Shyvana nodded as Nidalee spoke, her transformation was too a power of nature, just a different source than hers. As Nidalee used her spell after bringing her palms together Shyvana tilted her head. That was a much simpler and less damaging way than Shyvana's way of transforming.
The Half-Dragon looked down on the cougar and ran her fingers through the feline's mane. "Oh how I envy you..." Shyvana said and looked up at the sky.
"You are lucky, Huntress. As natural my transformation is... I can't really control it fully." The Half-Dragon looked back down into Nidalee's eyes and chuckled a little. "Let's go back inside, it's cold and I don't like cold." After finishing her sentence Shyvana would run her fingers through Nidalee's mane once more before turning around. "Oh how I envy you..." The Half-Dragon though and walked back into the inn.

Nidalee purred before returning back to her human form. “Bumalik sa kalikasan, o espiritu.” And with that, the animal spirit dispersed before her very eyes. Embracing herself from the cold, she hastily reenters the lodging. Cold. She hated it too.
Once inside, Nidalee goes back in to sit at the same table. "Your transformation is interesting as well, I must admit." She watches as Shyvana sits back down, chugging down the frothing beer. "What do you mean by not being able to control it? I see you do it plenty on the Fields of Justice."
And it was pretty fiersome too, admittedly her dragon form scared even Nidalee.

Shyvana sat down at their table and poured another drink for herself, she sipped her drink before answering to the Huntress' question. Sure, she could transform a lot on the Fields of Justice, but that was a different place. A place where she did not fully control her own body. The beer allowed her to express herself more, or at least she thought it did.
The Half-Dragon put down the half-empty glass and chuckled slightly before looking at Nidalee. "The fields are a lot more different. I don't know how I transform there, it's just easier to do there. I mean, I can transform outside the fields as well. But you don't want to be around when I do.
The longest I've been transformed must have been during the invasion." Shyvana looked down at the almost empty beer glass again.

Nidalee nodded in agreement. "Indeed. On the fields, I can transform without chanting the sutra. Good thing, I guess." She shrugged, trying to get her spear propped up. "I can stay in my cougar for as long as I wish. Not the same for on the Fields."
Nidalee sighed, grabbing the pitcher and drinking straight from it. She slammed it down on the wooden table again, the contents jumping out of the pitcher and landing back inside with a distinct slosh.
"The invasion... I had heard about that. Are you alright?" Nidalee asked, leaning over to caress Shyvana's face comfortingly. Well, it seemed that way for her, probably not for Shyvana.

"Hmm, they're leaving. Something about shapes?" Lucas was sitting just to far from them to clearly hear what they were saying. Some of the other clients were being Very loud. When they returned, Lucas finished his meal and moved to return his plate and fork, when he missteps and falls while passing Shyvana's chair. Instinctual reaction makes him catch the fall without breaking the plate, but he still ends up on the floor. He hopes it doesn't attract too much attention, but considering where he fell...

The Half-Dragon froze when the Huntress caressed her cheek, she looked at Nidalee with wide eyes, not sure what caused the sudden affection. Affection was something Shyvana had seen a lot around her during certain times of the year here in Demacia. Mostly around spring, not quite sure why.
"Ehm... I'm... fine thank you... but what are you doing, Nidalee?" Shyvana asked just as the Pathfinder fell besides her. Shyvana flinched at the sudden sounds below her and turned around, seeing Lucas there she recognized him from the expedition.
