This has cemented itself in the form of threads, pulled from her very own essence and manipulated as desired. Thin yet medium sized needles act as the catalysts to move and direct these threads, capable of levitation and brusque movement upon being willed to do so by Kotone. These threads channel her abilities that she considers her main ones. These abilities can be used on either ally or foe, with it's effects changing depending on Kotone's view of the target.
Firstly, she is able to strengthen the link between mind and body, using a deep blue thread for this ability. It slips around the targeted person and finally rests, a crossed stitch of an 'X' glows faintly as the needle embeds itself painlessly into the target's chest. Those allies who bare this 'X' will be able to better control themselves, a small yet noticeable boost in their abilities to see things and recall important information with haste. This would translate into small area vision and reduced casting time. Use on an enemy of Kotone will result in blindness.
Secondly, she may bolster fighting capabilities, harnessing a thread of thick blood red this time. It manifests itself by wrapping around the target's wrists and spiraling upwards to the shoulders, an 'O' of the same red emanating at the base of their neck. Those allies granted this 'O' will see an increase in their spiritual output, as well as an addition to the speed at which they can travel. This would be additional magic damage and movement speed. Use on an enemy of Kotone will result in slowed movement.
Lastly, she can bestow a blessing of favor, a beautiful silk white thread of the purest quality employed this time. This thread comes from deep within Kotone herself, planting itself straight into the heart of the target she chooses. This thread leaves a 'Star' shape above the breast, humming the same soft white glow. Those allies Kotone has given this 'Star' to are given increases to their resistances and natural restorative abilities for a short period of time, but for a sizable amount. This is essentially increased magic resist and health regeneration per second. Use on an enemy of Kotone's will result in decreased magic resistance and decreased health regeneration.
Kotone must wait a period of 15 seconds between switching threads (going from 'X' to 'O', for example) and must wait 60 seconds after each use of her 'Star' thread. She may only use her 'Star' thread three times per day, due to the toll it takes on her body and mind.
As depicted by her history, Kotone is also a well trained mage with substantial power and intelligence. She is able to use her needles and threads to attack opposers with light but piercing magical blows. They are, quite obviously, not the most damaging, but aimed correctly they would hinder aggressors and allow Kotone extra time to prepare, or flee. She may also use her threads to craft, sew and stitch wounds, should the need to do so arise. As a side note she can also use her strings to form and play a harp. It's something she picked up along the way.

Kotone utilizes her Chi-crafted threads through the use of slender three-inch long needles of silver color. She may have up to three threads out at any given time, though all three threads must be of the same color, and must use them one at a time.
Relationships:
Kotone is on good terms with her fellow Elders, as well as those from her own Region of Ionia. She is aware of the League and it's Champions, having no notable opinion of them besides supporting those of her Island. She is aware of both Syndra and Zed as enemies of Ionia, and has less than welcoming views of the two. Other than this, Kotone is open to forming any bond with those who do not threaten her; she is an open minded woman with nothing but her time left and others to help.

Kotone is a well grown adult woman, standing proudly at 5 feet, 5 inches and at the peak of her years. Her grace and poise betrays her age, an elegant and refined figure cutting through the years of spiritual guidance and the seeking of enlightenment. Her dark chocolate colored hair is soft and well kept, combed neatly into an ornate nest upon her high-held head. Narrowed but calm smokey grey hues tell of experience and patience, added to by the gentle dip and curve of her normally red stained lips, held into a seemingly perpetual smile of consideration and regard. Her face is angular and thin, as expected of one so well beyond the younger years, and her light cream colored skin is riddled with light but ever present creases. She is a calm and collected woman that holds courtesy and peace above all else, though she will not hesitate to right any obstructions to those ends with controlled force. She is of the recent Ionian views that not all problems can be solved by simply looking away and turning your cheek to the enemy, but she is also against intervening unless no other option is open to her. Kotone prefers to observe and think, pleased simply to aid in the development of her beloved Ionia and do all that she must to fulfill her role as Elder. She is a single voice that reflects a thousand thoughts.

The lights of her haze grey eyes never seemed to sit still for very long as she took in the beautiful world around her, every fiber of her being poured into a gratefulness for being born here, in such a peaceful and tranquil environment. But all things come to an end, and so too did the child-like glitter in her eyes as she began to notice the ways of the world around her. Concepts of war and strength had been lost on many an Ionian, but not on Kotone. With a fervent hunger to sate her curiosity, she pondered and practiced the arts and intricacies of the battlefield and all it entailed, wishing to grow stronger not in body, due to her delicate frame, but of mind. The natural Ionian culture of pursuing spiritual enlightenment finally taking hold of her.
She was now a full woman as she made her way through the various schools and teachings that were available to her, taking care to understand and also apply what she learned. It was during her final schooling that she took notice of just how unique each and every person's life force, their energy, their chi, was. She explored the prospect that perhaps there were ways to utilize this unique chi, ways to give physical form to the will of one's soul. It was these thoughts that gave birth to her abilities, her desire to learn and understand these connections of mind and body becoming the threads that emerge.
Having only just gotten her new practice in steady hand, it was a mild surprise that Kotone was chosen for her region to enter The Distinction. She would not be an iron sword to strike down her enemies, but she would be the whisper of reason and possibility.
