15th of September, 23 CLE.
Zaun... Aaron would easily describe it as the city of madness and destruction. Just the mere smell of metal burning in the searing flames sickens him, so try to imagine what the rest of the scents that cover Zaun's air do to the Noxian assassin. The broken man walked down the street, heading towards one of the shops to get a few supplies for his shack. He was quite sad, a bit overwhelmed by the fact that he might never see the face of that Ionian person again; she was like an angel to him, a gift for the decisions he made, but alas, things had to change and he is now exiled from his home with little money left in his pockets.
This smell is killing me... it's so, terrible and unbearable, how can these people even walk down these streets with a smile on their face when the air is suffocating our lungs? Ugh. I will just have to get some Ionian supplies from the black market and leave this place... speaking of Ionian, I wonder how she's doing... It has been such a long time I haven't seen her, I feel like part of me is missing when I think about it... If only I wasn't broken and exiled from my home, things would have been so much better.

Jay was, honestly, lost. You'd think he would've learned after Bilgewater not to go wandering in strange cities, but nope. Here he was, wandering a side-alley of Zaun, hoping to find someone to help him find a way to the airship port - he had stayed here for a week with Jayne, but was eager to move on now.
Not far from where Aaron was, he finally found someone. "Hey, you! Any clue where the airship port is?" He called, waving to the man in the alley. Before he had a chance to react, though, the man turned around and smirked, several others jumping out from hiding spots in the alley.
Jay grimaced and started channeling a fireball, but before he could defend himself one of the men knocked his arm up and caused him to shoot it into the air, pinning it against a wall. The rest managed to pin the struggling man down, with one in particular looking him over. "Hm...he'll sell for a mint on the market, won't he, boys?" They all laughed at Jay, but there was one thing they hadn't covered for, namely his mouth.
"OI!" He shouted, looking out of the alleyway. "SOMEBODY! ANYBODY! HELP!" He couldn't get much more out, though, before one of the bodysnatchers covered his hand, glaring at him to keep quiet and motioning for a needle of some chemicals, probably an anesthetic. Jay was pretty much hopeless now.

The shoutings of the man caught the assassin's ears as he wandered by the alley. Someone seemed to be in trouble and it didn't seem like they could get away from it themselves. He held onto Ebonite and hugged the wall before slowly walking closer towards the alley and throwing a quick glance at the surroundings.
Four men... This should be easy as hell... Hold on there fella, I'll get you out of the nasty spot.
He began channeling his fog and surrounded the area with a thick and grey veil before he silently treaded in the alley. He stood a few feet away from the group and spoke in a very cold and menacing tone.
"Leave this place and let the man go immediately."

The four men turned to Aaron, sneering even as the fog rolled in, dismissing it as natural. "Oh yea, hot shot?" The leader taunted, turning to him and taking out a large knife. "What're you gonna do 'bout it, then? 'ey boys! Looks like we've got two bodies tonight!" They began to laugh, one of the men restraining Jay while the others began to creep towards Aaron, weapons drawn. Jay was still forced to sit there helplessly, though. At least they haven't injected me yet... he thought to himself.

As the first man approached Aaron, a wide grin drew upon his lips as he waited until the man would finally be able to see Aaron through the thick fog. With a swift move, he quickly sliced his neck, striking his artery and letting the blood pour all over his other buddy that got brutally stabbed in the heart in the following seconds. He let their blood pour on the ground before he grabbed the other guy through the fog and glared at him with his sharp eyes. "You want a slice of the cake too?"

Zac was doing his usual patrol around the city and was preparing to take a break and grab some lunch at MundoBurger when he heard the obvious call for a hero: The call for help. He started slingshotting himself from roofstop to roofstop till he found the source of the callin the alleyway covered in fog before jumping right into the midst of the confrontation between Aaron and the remaining thugs as well as their hostage.
He managed to sneak a look at the ground and saw two dead men and instantly was angry, he could tolerate doing what was necessary in the form of violence to protect the innocents as he did, but killing? Killing only made you as dirty as those you strive to defeat. He instantly threw up his fists and took a defensive posture to keep both sides from gutting anyone else before addressing everyone in the immediate area with a shout.
"EVERYONE, weapons down. Otherwise you're going through ME to get to each other. And I highly doubt you chaps want that."

Aaron was completely caught off guard by the big green creature that suddenly leaped into the midst of the scene. He immediately released the man as he took a step back and quickly placed back his dagger in it sheath as Zac barked his orders. Aaron's heart was racing and pounding against his chest while his wide eyes gazed upon the menacing creature that stood before him. He remained silent, making sure that his face is partially covered by the fog as he stood still.

Jay wasn't watching the fight go on, but as the man restraining him ran off, he guessed it ended badly for the bodysnatchers. Peeking out a bit, he saw Zac and two dead kidnappers, the third one fleeing with the one that had been holding him. He also saw the faint figure of another man in the fog, but for now, that didn't matter.
Breathing a sigh of relief, he dusted himself off and checked the pouch of money he'd been keeping - looked like they hadn't pickpocketed him while they were at it, good. He turned to the two standing men and staggered forwards, a bit of a smile on his face. "Hey, hey, Zac, chill." He warily backed around him and towards the mysterious man, who was more than likely the one who saved him. Wiping his brow, he looked up at the giant slime monster. "Everyone's safe...'cept the dead guys...so it's alright." He hadn't ever talked with Zac in person, but he'd summoned him a couple times in the past - he was probably pretty pissed with the dead bodies if Jay knew anything about him.

Zac frowned as the two men ran off and decided he would catch them later but for now he would have to get to the bottom of what exactly happened here. He turned to Jay who had gotten his attention and decided to start asking him questions first, though to make sure the man he now had his back to didn't try anything funny he made two of his fingers sprout of his back and given Aaron the 'I've got my eyes on you' signal while he started the investigation.
"Alright, so start talking pal... what was going down here and why did TWO people end up dead over it?"
Post by Jay D. McIna on Jan 15, 2014 16:52:13 GMT -5
Jay shuffled slightly. "Well...basically I was trying to get to the Airship port without incident. But then these guys who I asked for help jumped me, bodysnatchers by the way they were talking. They were about to inject me with some drugs, then my friend here," he said with a gesture behind Zac to the mysterious man in the fog, "came out to help me. The bodysnatchers attacked him, and then he killed them - in self defense." He gave a small huff and frowned. "I remember the last time I came to Zaun this wouldn't have been a problem. Has that much changed in two months?"

Zac nodded as Jay explained the situation though he did give him a light glare when he huffed and frowned, Zaun's changes weren't happening overnight sure but it was a step-up from the entire general populace wondering if they were going to abducted from their homes while they slept and taken to some lab and experimented on.
He turned to Aaron who he hadn't forgotten about and jerked him towards him so he could get a good look at him, he looked down disapprovingly and made sure this man got the message he was about to send him.
"I don't know who you are, but I know well enough from busting down lab doors and jumping into alleyways like this that you're not from here, those kills were too clean and quick to be done by a Zaunite. But I do know that you didn't have to kill those people in order to save your friend here, so I HIGHLY suggest you finish whatever business you have and then get the hell out of my city. Otherwise the next time I see you you're getting tossed to our new Noxian friends, and they dislike murderers even more than I do."
That being said Zac walked past the man and went off to patrol the area for those two that got away, they wouldn't be so lucky and get a light slap on the wrist like Aaron did, if he ended up catching them they were going to be spending some time behind bars but not before getting some justice in the form of a green fist sent to their faces.

Aaron's eyes were locked on the big green creature as he jerked Aaron towards him. Zac had a good sense of analysis to know that Aaron wasn't from around Zaun, luckily enough he didn't know who he truly was and simply nodded before the mention of Noxians. His heart skipped a beat, his eyes grew wide while the fear took over his pupils. An anguishing feeling grew within him as he slowly swallowed up and began to sweat before Zac took his leave... It was a close one, luckily the creature let it pass this time and Aaron would be more careful about it next time he visits Zaun.
He looked down at the bodies and lightly kicked one of them as he tried to get rid of his fears before he looked back at Jay while the fog slowly faded away, giving a clear display of Aaron's physical features and a clear view of his face. The man remained silent for a few seconds before he finally spoke in a rather cold voice. "It seems like you know who that creature was... No need to thank me by the way, I just did what I was supposed to do, and apologies if you can not handle the sight of blood. I will be taking my leave now."

Jay dusted himself and smirked up at Aaron. "Yea, used to be a summoner before Noxus pulled out of the League...Zac's a nice guy once you get to know him. And trust me, I knew him." He gave Aaron a quick once-over before walking besides him. "You may have done what you were supposed to, but that doesn't mean I don't owe you a favor. If your favor is me leaving you alone, gladly. I have to get back to Noxus double-time anyhow; the generals are probably on a manhunt for me by now if I'm one more day late to work." He chuckled a bit, thinking himself very funny.

Noxian... Generals? These two words were the only ones needed to hold Aaron's attention to what Jay was saying. He took a halt and looked at Jay from over his shoulder, peering at the man briefly before he spoke to him in what seemed to be a more friendly tone. "So you work for the Generals of Noxus eh? That is pretty interesting... In fact, it really peaked my interest because I need your government's help for certain things I wish to do."
Aaron turned around and faced Jay, holding a straight stance as he decided to present himself under a fake identity. "The name is Russel, I am an artifact collector but I also work on other things too that I could not mention here until I am sure I could trust you. If it is possible, I wish to meet up with you sometimes later in Noxus or any place you would feel comfortable with... You do owe me a favor after all, no?"

Jay listened to the man as he proposed an offer. He thought for a moment before snapping his fingers. "Y'know, sure, Russel. Tell you what - I'll meet you at the Airship port. Meet me out front; I'll tell you whatever you want to know, and maybe we'll chat about artifacts a bit. Sound good?" He stood aside and smirked. "Hell, I'm even open right now if you're in a hurry."
