September 2nd, 23CLE.
Since I was released from the Piltover Medicial Center some time ago I've decided to keep a log of the events that go on within my laboratory now in order to better understand my state of mind once I'm recovered and no doubt will need a close-up with what I was experiencing.
First Entry,
My first day back home was difficult needless to say, the creature from the incident was apparently waiting for me to return and yet as I entered the lab it did not leap at me and begin the ruthless assault of my flesh, instead it approached me on all fours slowly and once it was close enough for a personal encounter it stood up straight (I believe it's height was around 8 feet tall) and looked down upon me for a few seconds... At that moment I thought I would return to the land of the dead just after being brought back from my recent trip there. No instead the creature walked backed to door that withheld the proto-type Arclight armor Jayce and I had constructed, curled itself up and went to sleep. I went to my room, locked the door and proceeded to get some much needed rest after the fateful encounter.
September 4th, 23CLE.
Today I decided I would get back to work and try to get things back to normal. I looked at the Hex-Heart and decided that rukan's imminent revival would have to wait, I wanted to run a few tests on the Proto-type armor. But I also remembered that the creature was sleeping in front of the door, at this point I didn't care whether the thing killed me or not but Damnit I was going to get through that door. As I opened the door to my room and poked my head out into the hallway to sneak a peak at the door I saw nothing, I immediately made a run for the door, but as I was inches away from it and the armor that lie inside I found myself on the floor looking up at the thing close up. Again staring at death I waited for it to just finish me, but instead it got off of me after a few seconds of what I guessed was it's growling and let me enter. I performed a typical systems check and was out in less than ten minutes.
The rest of the day was spent at my desk attempting to draw a schematic for a new function of my Power Gauntlets, the creature slept in front of the door to the proto-type armor the rest of the day. Despite any accidental noises I made it never woke. When I went to sleep that night I once again closed and locked my door.
September 8th, 23CLE.
I apologize my invisible audience for my disappearance from the log the past few days. But I've made a breakthrough with the creature and it is now... tame. The day before last I decided to experiment with the Hex-Heart by placing it inside of the former power core of the Power Gauntlets (please note the creature was asleep at this time) as I picked up the Hex-Heart it sprang to life and was once again upon me near instantly, this time fangs out and claws near the sinking point into my shoulders. I cried out from the pain and struggled with my hand gripping the Hex-Heart tightly, the creature rolling off of me in what appeared to be pain. Slowly getting to my feet I came to the realization of something: This creature only came to life when the Hex-Heart apparently exploded that fateful day in my laboratory, I felt like an imbecile for not connecting the two sooner, the creature was apart of the device somehow... and when my hand tightened around it the creature must have felt I was actually squeezing it's heart as well.
I questioned how this was even possible let alone real, speaking to myself aloud the functions of Hex-Heart I found myself upon the word "Rukan", to which the creature acted strangely.. almost canine-like to be quite frank. It sat on it's hind legs and looked at me as if expecting me to give another order.
End current log with note: Experiments with... Rukan begin tomorrow.
