September 12th, 23 CLE
A wooden door would open with a loud whine as Twisted Fate entered a less popular bar found in Noxus, in the seedier part specifically where danger was often lying underneath the surface. There was a musty smell in the establishment some of the wood was rotting...somewhere. The smell of alcohol was also potent in the air as was the sound of men grumbling about their works in the army, or perhaps the newest arrival to the tavern, and how he would "Cheat them out of their women, money, and homes." A phrase that Twisted Fate had heard before, but he remained clam and moved toward a nearby table meant to seat multiple people. From one of his many pockets he would produce a deck, and place it firmly at the center of the table. There was a soft, yet decisive. To the card players in the room the message was clear.
The Cardmaster was taking all challengers...if they had the gold.
He glanced around the room toward a corner were some older men were playing cards, they looked away indicating that they wanted no part of it. Even the younger and bolder card players were afraid to approach the table. Shame...he was hoping to earn some easy money here...maybe it was time to go for another con. It had been a while, but he figured why not now? After a card game or two...perhaps he would find someone that he could easily trick out of some easy cash. The gypsy placed his thick leather boots on the table, to prop his legs up while he leaned back in the chair. A tavern wench approached him and asked if he wanted anything. He offered a simple reply, "Whiskey, Mon Cheri." The natural charm offered a subtle hint to the young lass, perhaps if there were no takers then he could flirt with that fine young woman. A conclusion that he drew when his eyes appraised her, but as she walked away they returned to the patrons in the tavern observing them. Seeing who had the guts to challenge him, or if they wanted to gut him.
