12th November, 23 CLE.
The sun illuminated the rocky landscape of the Mount Targon, burning through Laufeia's skin as she continued to mount the massive mountain until she finally reached her destination. Why did she travel this great distance from Ionia to the Mount Targon? Why not seek answers from the wise elders of Ionia? Laufeia did not want their help, they had already given up on her village and ignored them when they were attacked and murdered, so why would they care about one of the survivors of the attack? The broken woman felt anger rising up in her heart the more she thought of it and she could not let it overshadow her judgment.
She was exhausted, drained from whatever energy was left in her body. Her supplies were running low, she only had a few biscuits left and a canteen that will soon go dry. Her sore throat let out a sigh as she carried on to find the Avatar of the Sun. She only hoped that out of all the people she had heard of, Leona would be the one that was able to help her. She wanted to know if murder was the only answer to her desire for vengeance, if it was the only way to solve things... or if there was another way to bring justice upon those who have killed her father and destroyed her village. She held her ground as she arrived at the front of the Solari settlement and waited for someone to acknowledge her presence and let her speak to Leona.

Laufeia's approach to the temple of the Solari was watched carefully by a small element of guards, their posture so rigid and unmoving that all which differentiated them from statues was the flapping of their capes in the wind. Laufeia would feel that she would be carefully analyzed by eyes underneath each helmet, taking note of what she carried and where she might hide weapons. The moment she stopped, one of the guards called out toward her. "Your name and business at the Temple of the Solari upon Mount Targon." was what she requested, or demanded, tone of voice taken into account. Then again, how else would one of Rakkor birth be expected to speak in such a situation? Silence followed, the ambient sounds of the mountain seemingly increasing in volume as Laufeia's answer was awaited.

Laufeia's ears perceived the rather stiff voice of the guard that questioned her and her crimson eyes gazed upon the woman. She stood there silent for a few seconds, still looking at the Rakkor that was waiting for her answer before she replied. "The name is Laufeia, Laufeia Denkashi from Ionia. I came here to speak to the Solari Champion, Leona..." Her voice was rather dry with a hint of fatigue in its tone. She was wondering why all of these guards were glaring down at her, as if they were going to attack her at any given moment. A cold shiver crawled down her spine as she drifted her eyes away from the guards down to the ground as she waited for them to give her permission to go in.

The woman nodded, a simple affirmation that she had heard what Laufeia had said. She raised an armored gauntlet and slammed the back of it into the giant bronze door beside her three times. The echoing sound of metal bashing against metal had only just subsided when the door cracked open slightly. The guard turned her head toward the opening, and then held brief discourse with someone on the other side, speaking in a language that would have been alien to Laufeia. With that, the door slid shut, and all was silent once more.
After several minutes, the door opened again, and a man dressed in armor identical to all the figures on the outside emerged, and gestured to Laufeia. "The Avatar of the Sun will see you now. Follow me.". The man would start off into the temple with Laufeia in tow, the rather imposing complexity of the network of hallways nothing to him, one who was clearly very familiar with the place. The man would open a bronze double door into a courtyard, the center of the courtyard largely being composed of sand, with several practice dummies and armored figures going through combat drills by them. In a shaded area of the courtyard, Leona sat, clad in her usual armor with her sword sheathed at her waist and shield on her back, obviously having just finished drilling, judging by the volume of sweat rolling down her face.
Leona was drinking from a waterskin when she noticed Laufeia's entry, escorted by the armored man. She rose to her feet and spoke briefly to the man who had brought Laufeia to her, in the same foreign language Laufeia had heard before at the entrance. The man pressed his right fist to his chest, a gesture mirrored by Leona, before leaving the two alone. Leona then moved her golden eyes to rest on Laufeia. Her appearance was enough for Leona to judge that travelling all the way from Ionia was as difficult as she would believe it to be. She thrust the waterskin which she held into Laufeia's hands. "You look as if you need it more than I.". A simple gesture of kindness, as to the point and practical as one would expect from one of Rakkor birth.

The complexity of the Rakkor's language was quite confusing to the Ionian woman who came to seek the answers to her questions. While she waited at the front door, her pale hand slipped underneath her shirt and pulled out the necklace that bore the story of her life, the reason why she was still alive and why she was constantly struggling every day. Her plum eyes gazed at the picture of her father holding her, letting a faint smile appeared on her lips before reality struck her and reminded her of her loss. A single tear swept across her cheek before she hid the necklace underneath the fabric that covered her skin.
Once the door opened once more, she straightened her shoulders and nodded as she followed the man. Signs of exhaustion emerged on her expression and her body was rather frail. Her gaze admired the hallways of the temple, leaving her in awe at the beauty of such place before they arrived at their designated destination. The woman felt her heart rate grow stronger as she laid her eyes on the Avatar of Sun. She listened to the exchange without understanding a single word before she found herself holding the waterskin in her delicate hands. She did not say a word, nor a syllable... She simply drank from it before she knelt down and returned the waterskin to Leona; a traditional sign of respect and gratitude in Ionia.
Her eyes shifted across Leona's figure before they met her aureate gaze that was as radiant as the sun itself. Her soft voice resonated in the air as she started to speak, with a hint of sadness in her tone. "Leona... I thank you for accepting to receive me and for your kindness. I crossed the lands that separate my home from yours in order to speak to you and to seek a possible answer to my questions..."

Leona waited patiently as Laufeia drank from the waterskin. She was obviously parched from her long journey. When she had finished, Leona accepted the waterskin, and when Laufeia knelt, an Ionian gesture of respect, Leona clutched her right fist over her heart, an equivalent gesture of respect utilized by the Rakkor. She kept a slight smile on her face when looking toward Laufeia, a warm expression against the cold of Mount Targon. She had come all this way, across the sea and across half the continent just to meet her. The subject which she wished to speak to her about must have been of great importance to her to undertake such a journey. "The questions which you wish to ask must be of great importance to you, if you have come all the way to Mount Targon seeking answers.". Leona paused for a moment before continuing. "You are no doubt exhausted, however. Is there anything you would wish to have beforehand? Food, drink, rest?" she asked, conscious of Laufeia's exhausted physical state.
