Ability
Hildebrand has all the knowledge and power one would expect of a Senior Summoner of the League. His mastery of the arcane arts is on par with or surpasses that of most League Champions.
While Hildebrand has mastered many various magical spells of varying power and utility due to being a summoner, his true mastery lies with ice magic. The biggest and flashiest of his abilities allows him to summon a massive brutal storm of ice shards and freezing temperatures, not unlike the nastiest weather of his father’s homeland. Of course, Hildebrand is more interested in keeping the peace than changing the weather, or taking any hostile action of his own.

Hildebrand is in good standing with Demacia, Freljord, Piltover, Bandle City, Ionia, and even Bilgewater on occasion. He has no particularly bad relations with the other city states and entities, and should be considered neutral toward them, so long as they do not act in ways that would threaten the peace of Valoran.

Description
Hildebrand is a tall, lean-built muscular Senior Summoner. His robes are incredibly ornamented with armor pieces here and there, and they are styled in the Demacian colors of blue and gold. His cloak, however, is held together by a Freljordian cloak-clasp. The robes themselves are enchanted by his own hand to give him the defenses of someone wearing plate armor, yet they are as fluid as the typical summoner robes. This level of defense is out of respect for his position. These are dangerous times in Valoran, and a man of Hildebrand’s position can never be too careful when dealing with possible assailants. They also give him incredible resistance to cold temperatures, needed due to his magic.
Hildebrand has intense blue eyes and white hair, bleached by his use and mastery of ice magic and frost. His face is long and lean, giving him an almost elf-like appearance. His voice is strong, and carries the strength of a warrior that is carved and shaped by a noble upbringing. When he speaks, others listen. He is duty-bound and takes the League and the peace of Valoran very seriously. One would have never heard of the champion candidates accepted by Hildebrand, as almost all of them have been rejected for one reason or another. He is a sought-after mentor by many lesser summoners, however, his high standards have never been met.
As far as his personality, Hildebrand carries the blood of a Demacian and a Freljordian. He is strong, duty-bound and honorable, while also cold, incredibly intelligent, and logical. His passion is tempered by his views of keeping the peace, which gives him an incredibly wide-reaching range as a diplomat on behalf of the League and Valoran. This odd combination of traits has earned him the unofficial tile of “The Ice-Blooded Mage.” If he likes or dislikes the title, Hildebrand has never made mention of it, though it is certain he knows it exists.

Biography
Hildebrand is a man of strange mixes. His father, for whom he was named, was a master swordsman and proud member of the Ice Dervish Tribe of Freljord. His mother, Lillian Runeblood, was a powerful magician hailing from a noble Demacian family. On a rare excursion to Freljord to learn of the ice magic of the north, his mother met his father, and after a short courtship, the two fell in love and were married. Tragically, his father was killed in Noxus’ Barbarian Pacification Campaign, leaving the young Hildebrand in the care of his grieving mother.
Once in Demacia, Hildebrand was trained in the magical arts, for which he had a strong affinity. He dreamed of becoming a Summoner in the League of Legends, and when he was old enough, he began his formal training at the Arcanum Majoris. He took the family name of his mother, as their family had no sons to carry on the name, and the noble ties this gave him were instrumental in his early years. Years went by, and Hildebrand grew in prestige, power, and influence within the League, rising through the ranks until he finally reached the highest achievable rank of power and notoriety within the League, outside that of a High Councilor sitting on the High Council of Equity.
Now, with the recent events taking place across Runeterra and Valoran, and with the arrest of former High Councilor Heywan Relivash for his corruption and conspiracy, Hildebrand has his sights set on seeing that the League retains its dignity and strength in the coming times ahead, and the foreseeable future. In his mind, Valoran cannot maintain peace without the League’s intervention, and he will stand by his duty to the people of Runeterra to see that their lives are not again threatened by war and strife.
