Lavin was, needless to say, excited. After all, his latest commission for one of the hexbike companies (he'd started the test drive and the steering chassis disconnected before he even started moving - they wanted him to keep him quiet, and not in the permanent way) not only included a hefty fee but also the permission to charge a custom hexbike onto the company.
...well, they didn't know it would be custom yet, but hey, a hexbike is a hexbike.
Anyhow, they'd sent him to an engineer by the name of Angela Phious to discuss the creation of the hexbike, and oddly enough trusted him to go alone. Whatever the case, as he came to the door of her lab, he was adjusting himself reasonably, catching his breath before knocking on the door. "Ey, Doctor Phious? You in there or something? Mr. Jakiro should've called ahead for me - its Lavin, y'know?"
The door would slide open to reveal Phi in her usual lab attire, clipboard in hand. She quickly gave Lavin a sizing up and looked at the clipboard. "Ah yes, Mr. Hastighed. Here to discuss the commission of a hexbike, right this way." She motioned for the man to follow, setting off at a somewhat brisk pace towards the heart of the building. One of her wolves would step past the two, taking the clipboard away to places unknown down another corridor.
After at least three minutes of walking, Phi would direct Lavin into what appeared to be a small hangar, parts and blueprints neatly organized across various tables. She would direct him to the nearest empty chair, sitting down herself on the opposite side of the table and pulling out a blank blueprint.

"So, where shall we begin?"
Lavin nearly smirked a bit as Phi came to the door, but refrained from making any comments. It helped that there was a robotic wolf that came out of nowhere and helped her. He gave a short nod. "Aye, that's me. You're supposed to be one of the best in the business."
When he was led to the hangar, he looked around in quiet awe. A rare chance - usually his awe was anything but. Sitting in the chair he was offered, he crossed one leg over the other and took another glance at Phi (although he did spend a moment of that glance taking her in below the neck as well.)
He heard her question and smiled a bit. "Lets start on power, move to chassis, and then take care of aerodynamics, safety, and time estimates." He glanced around slightly. "And is gear outta the question? You seem to be keen on robotics as well. When we're done with that, we can move onto aesthetics - something I have a feeling you have experience with." He smirked a bit.
Phi would write down the order of the conversation as Lavin said them, tiny words at the corner of the paper. "There are already a few prototype motors which should suit your power needs, a few chassis models in the works but nothing finalized, and aerodynamics are a given." She would begin sketching the motor and chassis designs as she spoke, moving from subject to subject. "As for safety, so long as you know how to properly drive it should be no problem, and if we have all the details finalized today we could get out a full prototype sometime early next week for testing."
After this she would set the pencil aside, turning the blueprint around for Lavin to look over. "Gear would all depend on what exactly you would require, but do keep in mind this commission is for your hexbike." At the last comment by the would-be rider she would slightly tilt her head, raising an eyebrow. "And what exactly is that supposed to mean?"

Lavin's smirk disappeared momentarily. "Just meant your robots and augments are not just functional." He felt he had saved that one.
Taking a look at the blueprints, he nodded with a grin slowly spreading over his face. "I like it so far...and on the gear level, as long as its connected to the cycle, think you could at least give me a discount?" He glanced over the blueprint and bit his lip for a moment. "Anyhow, any 'gear' I'd want would mostly be safety-based. But are there any small augments I could get to interact with my cycle?"
Phi would bridge her fingers as Lavin examined the blueprints, closing her eyes. Her vision would swapped over to that of the wolves', remotely signaling them to begin gathering parts for construction. Her eyebrow would raise again as the man spoke, but her eyes remained closed when she responded. "So long as the gear remains linked to the bike, the price should remain manageable. But as for augments..." Her eyes would snap open, looking directly at Lavin as a slight smirk adorned her face. "You'd have to make a completely separate request. For an additional fee."

Lavin frowned slightly. "Separate request? Erm..." Even small augments were a bit out of his budget, and the free cycle counted as his last paycheck. He had a bit of money left over, but definitely not enough to get hooked up without going without food...although, that gave him a small idea.
He leaned forwards a bit, smiling warmer. "I'll just be frank here. You're a good looking - and plainly at least a hundred times more intelligent than me, if not more - woman, and I'd like to make an offer." He leaned back. "If you considered a date with me - just one - could I convince you to give me a discount? It's a win-win-win-win. You get food and a willing test subject, I get augments and a night on the town with a lovely woman."
He briefly returned to frowning. "Of course, if you refused, I'd just have to get along with whatever you'll give me." He'd seen the weapons laying around her lab. Chances are that 'what she gave him' would amount to a long death. Thinking back on things...maybe that was what Mr. Jakiro wanted in the first place.
