At her right, her attendant started, "Yes but I don't see how here is- " The General cut her off simply by clearing her throat. She addressed the winged champion, her eyes only darting momentarily to the side to brush a fidgeting soldier. "This is not the place to find our Prince. Fortunately for you, I know he will wan't to speak with you as soon as possible. Come with me." She took a deep breath, feeling tired of the tension in the air and the nervous energy of a few dozen waiting residents. "Dismissed!" The soldiers were given leave to go about their duties, but the tone in her voice was much different from a command to be at ease. They would know to clear out of the lobby, quickly and efficiently.
"Not you Marker," she said, singling out the soldier from before. The rest funneled out of the room, leaving the four alone.
General Arkwright beckoned him over, turning away from them both an entering her office. Her secretary followed, throwing James a "now you'll get it" look as the General took a seat behind her desk and picked up her phone.

Marker gladly followed the others until he was called out by the general. He froze and turned around, saluting her even as sweat beaded on his forehead. "Of course, ma'am." Following behind her as he was beckoned, he stood at attention by the doorway behind Kayle and in full view of General Arkwright. He was silent; the best response in this situation was no response.

Kayle watched at the troops saluted and simply went about their business, she was relieved slightly as the crowd around her dispersed. When the general called the man named Marker to follow, she did as well. Kayle simply stood in the office, her hands crossed over her chest as she watched the two. Hopefully this would end soon, and she could finally get to do what she came here to do... Kayle did not like to waste too much time on trivial matters.

There was a moment of silence before the General spoke. "Yes, the royal guard... The Prince would like to know that Kayle, the League champion, is in the city and looking to meet with him. Yes." She looked straight at Kayle. "Yes. Understood." The phone clicked back onto its hanger as the woman returned her attention to the two in front of her.
"Lieutenant Marker. You will escort the Champion to His Majesty the Prince at the Laurel conditioning grounds. He will cut his exercises short to meet with her. Will there be any problems?"

James blinked, surprised. "Wait...me?" He opened his mouth as if to argue, but then quietly nodded. Arguing with a general rarely ended well. "No ma'am. There are no problems. I can take her as soon as she's ready." He turned to Kayle, thinking patiently.

Kayle looked to Marker and raised an eyebrow. He did not seem like the soldier type to her... but looks can be deceiving, she guessed. Kayle simply uncrossed her arms and brushed a few strands of hair from her face before speaking. "I am ready." She said bluntly.

"Good. Then be on your way Marker. Champion Kayle." She nodded her goodbye, watching them and waiting for them to leave. It was a warm, cloudy day. Perhaps Marker was not the idea guide, but she wasn't worried. The Prince would take over when they arrived. There was no way they would get lost on the way. They wouldn't be separated as Kayle could hardly mix with the crowds, and Marker would know the way as well as any soldier. "You have your orders Lieutenant."

James gave the general another salute and a nod. "Of course ma'am. Lets be off, Judicator." He left the office and briefly waited for Kayle before walking alongside her through the streets towards the Laurel conditioning grounds. It wasn't too long a walk; he couldn't mess it up too badly.
He glanced towards her while they walked, still keeping a good pace. "If I may ask, ma'am, why the sudden interest in his majesty?"

Kayle was glad that this was finally going somewhere, though her face didn't show it. As she watched Marker leave, she followed, walking alongside of him. When she was asked the question, she glanced back slightly before looking forward again. "I wish to live in Demacia" She replied "If anyone can arrange that, I believe the prince could."

James nodded. "A fine choice, ma'am. If his majesty allows you, which I doubt he won't, you will certainly be well-received." He gestured to the gawking crowds nonchalantly. "I personally don't see how you can handle this attention with such grace. A lesser being would have caved in by now."

Kayle remained silent has she continued to walk, she did not care for the attention at all, so it was easy to ignore, though there was still an air of uncomfortable air that lingered around the angel.

James eventually came to the Laurel grounds, approaching the gate with Kayle and briefly explaining his mission to the guard. After a minute of discussion, the gate was opened, and James turned to Kayle. "His majesty will be waiting for us within. Follow me." He then began leading her to the training ground itself.

Kayle continued to follow, looking around at the city as she did. When they reached the gates, she watched as Marker talked to the guards , and the gates soon opened. She nodded to the guards in thanks before following Marker into the grounds, observing the area herself. She nodded, and wondered where the prince would meet her.

The Laurel grounds opened to them, the immaculate facility and greens a stark contrast to the worn and massive training facilities of the Royal Army barracks buildings. Even the guards were better equipped, stepping aside in gilded greaves and plumed helmets to allow the pair entrance. With its own archery field, drill yard, and sparring pit, the Laurel training grounds were a privilege for the elite warriors and officers of the nation. One the open pathway ahead, the Prince approached them both with his helm under one arm. He'd been pulled out of a training session and showered quickly. His hair clung damply to his forehead and neck.
He smiled in greeting, pushing back the concern he felt at this unexpected visit. "Kayle. Welcome to the city... This is quite a surprise, the institute said nothing of a messenger or a meeting of any kind. I would have been ready to receive you."

Kayle looked around at the vast training grounds before her eyes fell on the prince who approached them. She crossed an arm over her chest and gave a bow to the man, her wings stretching out slightly. "I apologize if I have intruded." She stated. Her face was like stone, unreadable. "And I did not come on Institute business, I came of my own accord."
