He could see them scurrying within the walls of the fort. The dogs of Noxus, blindly loyal to their master, standing on Ionia soil, mocking him every step they took on it. It sickened him. They soiled the land with their filth. A filth he would remove.
He had made the deal with Hecarim. Their assault would begin. He waited for his ally to come. Soon they would be gone. And the world would be better for it. His bow formed, his hand twitching in anticipation. This was the one thing he lived for.
And he was going to enjoy it.
(OOC: Varus and Hecarim are launching an attack on the Noxian forces in Ionia. )

The centaur moved swiftly to the archer's position with halberd in hand and his squad of 4 ghost riders behind him, he looked down on the fort and nearly cut down a nearby tree out of rage. These 'Noxians' knew nothing of the city of lies they came from, but no more.
Today he too would be seeking vengeance, vengeance for his people being removed from power and slaughtered by those who held petty grudges against his king.
"Those fools below have no idea what comes for them, are you prepared archer?" He said, still looking down upon the soon to be piles of corpses.

Wind howled through the trees as the breeze grew and grew. The wind was angry, it voiced Yasuo's rage towards the Noxians, he wanted them off his homeland. They had harmed it once, and they would never harm it again so long as he lived. He was an outcast, accused of treason and sentenced to death, yet he continued to fight for the safety of his homeland. Yasuo brought the container of sake to his mouth, taking a deep drink. After swallowing it he took another swig, but instead slowly drew his blade in front of him, spitting the sake onto it. He remained crouched, the wind kicked up more and more as he waited, blood would be drawn today.
Kahn patrolled the area around the fort that Varus, Hecarim, and Yasuo planned to strike against. He was alone as were most of Zed's trainees. They were to patrol the area and ensure that forces of Ionia remained outside their territory. When the Lotus Hunter came upon Varus alone, he knew the last patrol had failed miserably at their job. He was perched in a tree looking down at the man who had nothing to lose. There was only one reason why he was here, vengeance, concerning. It seems as though his lesson from the Institute taught him nothing, and that his actions could hold grave consequences for the future of Ionia. He observed his fellow Ionian carefully, while remaining still and silent in the tree. It became evident that he was waiting for someone to arrive...who else had he recruited to his cause? Shen? Akali? Kennen? If it was someone from the Kinkou then he would be able to give information directly to that individual, and ensure the rest of Ionia knew of what was going on in the Order of Shadows territory. However, when he heard the sound of a horse's hooves strike the ground, he knew it was not anyone he knew.
No, it was Hecarim! This caused the Lotus Hunter's eyes to widen a bit in surprise, why would he be here and helping Varus. Unless of course, they had made a deal. That seemed to be a logical explanation for the situation he was witnessing. The Lotus Hunter made a silent descent and rested on one of the lower tree branches about ten feet away from the two champions. He would speak to them, but throw his voice elsewhere. He was located about ten feet to their left on the third lowest branch approximately ten feet from the ground. His voice would sound as though he was behind The Shadow of War and Varus. "What have we here? The Shadow of War and The Arrow of Retribution planning a scheme? To slaughter Noxians no less? I must say, I am surprised, but fear not I will not reveal your plans to the enemy." As he spoke he made sure to keep light on his feet in case their reaction was far less than friendly. "I hate Noxians as much as the next guy, but might I suggest you think things through a bit more. Surely, you remember the result of your last massacre on Noxian forces? The same action that caused Noxus to withdraw from the Institute of War? Then it began to pursue its own agenda, and Swain put his mind to thinking five steps ahead of everyone. Even this attack may have been predicted." The ninja allowed his words to sink in for additional weight, watching the reaction of the two champions. Varus in particular, since he was the one he had to convenience. Hecarim could do as he pleased, but representatives of Ionia had to tread lightly.
"Think about it Varus, champion of Ionia, Noxus is no longer bound by the peace that the Institute desires. It would not surprise me if Swain saw this as a declaration of war. He may claim that he is forging a new Noxus, but as you as well as I know, Noxian scum is not above lying. In fact, he may even use this to his advantage and turn this massacre you're about to commit into a new campaign over Ionia. A justified campaign, unlike the previous invasion of Ionia. You would be the cause of it too, and what an image that would be with the Shadow of War himself fighting beside you, a champion of Ionia, mere months after the Shadow Isles invaded Demacia. If Noxian invades with the same force as before? Who will come to Ionia's aid? The Institute? Only after much deliberation. Demacia? After you have sided with one who has invaded them? Of course not! Don't be so blinded by your revenge that you fail to see the consequences of your actions! When fathers lose their daughters and sons to Noxian and Zaunite war machines, they will look to the one who started the war to blame. You. If you do not wish to do it for Ionia, then set your vengeance aside for the fathers who will lose their family for your actions. Surely, you understand their grief at least?" The ninja was growing long-winded, he doubted Varus would listen to all that, but hopefully that would get him to stay his hand for a moment longer. He kept his ears, and eyes open in case they did not appreciate his stance. After a moment of pause he would add one last thing, after all as a ninja he was a master of misdirection.
"Though, if you wish to have Noxian scum die this night, then perhaps I can offer an alternative." The eye uncovered by hair shifted to Hecarim, needless to say The Shadow of War was pivotal in Kahn's plan. After all Hecarim attacking alone could be seen as a random event or a move by the Shadow Isles. If Noxus and the Undead wished to murder each other, Kahn had no problems with that. They could have at it, and fight to the bitter end for all the Kinkou ninja cared. In fact it may force Noxus back to the Institute and restore the balance once more. However another war with Noxus was not something that Kahn wished to be inflicted upon Ionia.

"I am rider. Sound the charge when you are ready." They were then interrupted by the voice from the trees
Silence fell as Kahn finished talking. The archer said not a word. His gaze then turned towards the branch Kahn was standing on. "Cute trick." he said. "Did Zed teach it to you?" That would work on most people, but not Varus. The Marks of the Clever Owl heightened his senses greatly, so trying to throw a voice wouldn't work. Besides, the corruption could feel the pain of Kahn. The loss of his sister, the lies he told Zed to get close.
"Do you think I care about Noxus'? Or the Institute? They didn't life a finger when Noxus invaded us because we weren't in their precious League and if I recall correctly, Noxus started that war. For too long has Valoran stood idle while that mad man acquired his power. I shall be the one to wake this world. Your words will not sate my vengence."
He raised his bow towards Khan's location. "I should kill you for being allied with these dogs, but I will let you live if you run now." he told him.
Kahn saw Varus turn and look directly at him, it seems his little trick failed. The Arrow of Retribution was no fool, or so it seemed. He made it abundantly clear to Kahn that he would not be persuaded by any means, not by the institute or Noxus. The ninja was silent, contemplating his next move till Varus rose his bow at him, his muscles tensed ready to leap out of the way if necessary. He didn't want to raise the alarm, but if he was attacked then he would do so to save his own skin. Part of the ninja wished to attempt to maintain the balance that the Kinkou sought, but at this point he would be throwing his life away quickly. He was taught that patience is sometimes the correct answer, and no doubt that held true here. The ninja would meet Varus' stare, and give him a nod.
"I was hoping that you would consider the plight of your countrymen, but it is clear now that you are set on this path. Very well then, I shall do no more to stop you, but I leave you with a warning. Beware when the eye that belongs to neither the dawn or night weighs the balance. Enjoy your vengeance." With that said Kahn would disappear into the thicket of the tree, and make a quick sweep around the area, intent on eliminating anyone who might have over heard them. Fortunately, no one was around, afterwards he would dart off taking the long way around the fortification that Varus and Hecarim planned to strike down.Someone had to survive and report the damage, after all. Zed may not be pleased, but it was better to have knowledge than to lack it.
