January 5, 24 CLE (if we've moved a year)
Twisted Fate decided that he would spend this fine day on the Bilgewater dock browsing the numerous boats for sell he was not looking for anything specific. Maybe a simple rowboat that he could go fishing in, something to pass the time and fish. He always liked the ocean a bit, it was beautiful and he could recall a few times his father took him fishing whenever they were close to the lake. He would smile at the memories he made then, he caught a large ocean fish, now at the time he had no idea what it was, but it was big. His family ate well that night because of his fishing prowess, granted it was not nearly as good as his poker prowess. There was a peace in fishing, which between being a conman, a a champion, and a natural flirt his life didn't have many calm moments. Moments were he could be at peace, and just think about his past and his future. Destiny was guiding him to all kinds of places and people, he did not know which way to go. It seemed to push him towards Evelynn, but where was she? He expected to find her in Noxus, but she did not appear before him. Where was she? His first thought was that she busy, with what she did not tell him.
Though why wouldn't she tell him? Was she trying to protect him? Or was she trying to stop him from knowing? His paranoid mind assumed that perhaps she was still working with somone who wanted him dead! Or maybe she was trying to lure him back in to break his heart? Right now, Twisted Fate didn't know at all. Thus his golden eyes would settle back on a small rowboat, not too big, but big enough that one could comfortably fish in it. Was this the one? If it wasn't then which one would it be? He glanced around at the other choices, and shook his head. Well he would have to make a decision eventually.

One of the burly sailors that is renting out his boat, as no one really wanted to be without a boat in Bilgewater, looks over to the browsing Card Master, grinning to himself.
Lookin' for somethin', landlubber? If a boat's what yer after, there's some good ones here to sell.
He glances to his sides quickly, checking if the other boat owners and sellers or renters were listening before adding.
Ye can't really trust these guys though, take me word for it. They'll sell ya a bucket with holes in it if they can, laughin' as you go out to sea and sink while they count yer coin. These scallywags ain't worth yer attention, let alone yer coin.
The sailor is obviously trying to make the others seem bad, while not saying a word about the boat he's renting. He was greedy and didn't know who he was talking to, obviously a bad combination to try and trick a known conman with.
Meanwhile, further in the docks, a pair of glinting eyes watch from beneath the waves, followed by a large shadow that nearly breaks the surface, a small fin only popping above the waterline. In Bilgewater, someone was always watching.

Twisted Fate was soon approached by a burly looking man, a sailor from the looks of him. The man would ask him if he was looking for something. The Cardmaster would nod in affirmation that he wanted to purchase or rent a boat. He came during the winter to see if he could maybe haggle a lower price, given the high supply of boats, but little demand since no one wanted to face the cold of the ocean winds. The gypsy was more than willing, but first what he needed was a boat. The man then began to speak of his competition, saying how they would see him a boat full of holes, and would laugh as he sailed it away. According to this man, they were not worth his time or money. If Twisted Fate was honest, which was somewhat of a rare occasion, he wasn't surprised. Graves had told him a few stories about the locals of Bilgewater, how they were always rough around the edges. Typically, they were not to be trusted, and the sailor before him was without a doubt one of those people. How the man did not recognize Twisted Fate was beyond him, but perhaps he should play along, it might be fun.
"Well Ah'm a bit new 'round here, so Ah'll take yer' word for it, but Ah' just got a simple question. What about yer' boat? How do Ah' know that the other scallywags don't say the same thin' bout ya'?" The gypsy would inquire to the man, wanting to see how developed this man was. The Cardmaster could use another informant, or two....then again this man was foolish since he was trying to con Runeterra's best conman. Heck, the gambler began to think that maybe he could con the man out of his own riches, that would be one to tell his friends at the card table or at the bar. From under his hat, Twisted Fate saw the fin, but didn't think much of it. After all, aquatic life was part of the Bilgewater culture.

That's the thing, landlubber. Ya can't. And I don't think anyone 'round here would do anythin' else but try and talk some bullshit about the rest. This is a cutthroat place an' all.
The sailor laughs and spits on the tier, looking at the Cardmaster with a grin. Still not recognizing the League Champion, he was thinking that if he didn't choose his boat, he could always stab the guy and his take his stupid hat, and dump him in the sea. No one would be the wiser, stuff like it happened daily in Bilgewater.
Meanwhile further in the bay, the Trickster was watching. He knew the idiot sailor all too well, and was starting to be certain that he was either trying this either out of plain stupidity, or from not knowing who he dealt with. Laughing beneath the waves, he swims closer to the pier, two large ocean blue eyes glinting beneath the surface.

Twisted Fate mentally sighed, he could not believe this man was this much of a fool. Not only did he recognize the obvious con, but this horrible horrible con man did not recognize who he was speaking to. One would think his signature hat, accent, and facial hair would be enough. However, this man was evidently a fool, and Twisted Fate was not sure if he could take it much longer. In fact he knew he couldn't, he took a step back for a moment and stroked his facial hair as though he was thinking. He tilted his head a little bit to help sell the act to the idiot sailor, who was either too stupid or desperate. Regardless, while he held this act or pose, he flicked his wrist and a regular playing card would slide loose into the his hand. He would kept the card hidden, and use his magical power he gained on that day to transform it into his legendary gold card, or so some summoner's called it. This was a fail safe in case the man was truly as stupid as he acted. Now it was time to enlighten the fool, before him.
"Yer' right it's pretty cutthroat round these parts. Mah' ex-partner was born here, he told me a thin' or two about these here parts. Between obvious con artists n' drunken brawls people seem ta' do anythin' fer' gold. Ya' may know em' his name was Malcom. " The Cardmaster drew his hand from his beard, and looked at the man intently from underneath his hat. If that didn't give away, who the champion was, this man was a blatant fool. "Course' Destiny had a different plan fer' em. A twist of fate left em' in a cell fer' a couple years." If that didn't give it away this man, needed to take a dip to recuperate from whatever drink he had. Granted, if the man tried anything Twisted Fate had a gold card prepared. Not to mention the fact he took a step back to give himself a little distance from the man in case he proved to be violent. Twisted Fate really didn't want this to end violently, but if Destiny willed it to then it would.

It seemed like the sailor was starting to get the clues together, even though he wasn't. He had heard the name Malcolm somewhere, and not many cons here seemed to do it with a partner, they didn't trust them. Destiny sounded like some bullshit to him. Every man made his own around Bilgewater after all.
While he was thinking however, Fizz reached the edge of the pier and nimbly climbed up, grinning at TF for a moment before turning to the sailor. With a swift motion, he sticks the trident through some of the sailor's clothing, and yanks him into the water. The sailor would then shout a line of profanities from the water, before turning quiet as he notices Chomper swimming around him. Of course the shark wasn't going to hurt him, but his presence was still threatening.
Fizz looks at TF, his usual grin plastered on his face.
Jussayin' Fate, you don't want to find a boat from any of these clowns. Heck, I think the only ones who wouldn't completely cross ya over in this town, would be Fortune and Gangplank. Gangplank is still the more likely one to do so out of the two but... he's more busy with keepin' the city afloat to do that.t

Twisted Fate saw the sailor starting to realize who he was speaking to, but was distracted by someone emerging from the edge of the pier. A blue prankster was looking at him with a grin, The Cardmaster hide his smile to prevent the sailor from being tipped off. He watched Fizz hook the sailor's clothing with his trident before tossing the poor sailor into the ocean. There were quite a few profanities being shouted, before he settled down as a large shark fin circled around him. Twisted Fate would shut up too, he had heard what Chomper could do when he was more than angry. Fizz then informed him that he should seek out either Gangplank or Miss Fortune in order to not get double-crossed by some scoundrel. The Cardmaster shrugged slightly, "Ah' figured Ah'd give the 'honest' citizens of Bilgewater a chance to impress me with their showmanship. Ah' reckon' Ah' overestimated the talent that could be found here." Hindsight was always accurate, his golden eyes glanced to the now soaking wet sailor. He lifted his hat a bit and winked at Fizz, indicating he should play along a bit.
"Have ya' ever considered gettin' Chomper a more durable toy? Ah' understand yer' newest toy is really fresh, but look at the poor guy. He won't last a second when Chomper starts to play rough."The Cardmaster would say gesturing to the poor man in the sea, "Ah' think ya' need to find somethin' that Chomper can really sink his teeth into. That poor sailors gonna holler like a stuck pig here soon. Ah've seen it in his future ya' might say." He would smirk a bit glancing over to the poor sailor in the ocean to see his reaction.

Fizz laughs for a moment, shaking his head at Twisted Fate.
Chomper and I just had our food hunt, Fate. He ain't hungry, and unless the sailor tries to hurt 'im, he won't do much. Well, maybe throw him up to the dock with a couple of flips and a broken bone, but nothin' worth worryin' over.
He glances over to the water, where the sailor is rapidly trying to make his way to the dock, while Chomper keeps circling around him down below. Suddenly, Fizz whistles, too high a tune for the human ear to hear, and Chomper launches up, throwing the sailor a few feet up into to air before crashing back into the water again. Chomper then launches up again, this time throwing him, rather painfully, back to the pier, where Fizz leans over him.
Hey, you scallywag, you do realize who ya were trying to scam right?
The sailor groans and leans his face over the edge of the pier. Fizz then turns back to Twisted Fate with a grin.
Well, you of all people should be able to handle these guys when it comes to conning. They are tough, but they ain't cunning in the least.
And is "Lady Luck" messin' with ya? If you see the future, why didn't ya see that Chomper ain't hungry enough to rip him this guy a new one? Or multiple new ones.
Fizz chuckles a bit, leaning against his seastone trident, it's runes glowing slightly in the sunshine.
Oh, also, if ya ever need a partner to mess people with, send me a card. No doubt yer luck'll make it find the right place, no matter where I am, ain't that right? Bilgewater's fun and all, but it don't hurt to widen your horizons. New places, new tricks to pull off.

((So sorry for the delay I've been a bit busy and a little burned out.))
"Well shucks, Ah' thought you of all people would have been up fer' more fun with him, but Ah' suppose he's had enough." Twisted Fate would say a grin growing on his face. He watched Chomper flip the poor sailor, who evidently didn't want to spend any more time than necessary with the shark, onto the dock. Fizz then asked the sailor if he knew who he was trying to con. A groan was the only response, which Twisted Fate would assume meant yes. When Fizz turned back, and began to speak The Cardmaster would nod in response.
"Ah'll be sure ta' keep that in mind, but Ah' reckon' that outwitting them will be as easy as sliding off a greasy log backwards." The Cardmaster would say, when Fizz asked why he didn't see that they Chomper wasn't that hungry. Twisted Fate would simply shrug, "Ah' don't look in the future to foresee everything, that would be tiring. N' it would take the fun out of everything, now wouldn't it? Ah' have ta' give mah pursuers some chance ta' catch me."
"Let ya' know if Ah' need someone to mess people with. Hmmm, Ah' might take ya' up on that offer later, Ah'll be sure to send you a card the next time Ah' plan on heading ta' Demacia." The wandering poker player would say with a smile, "You could say they need ta' lighten up a bit, n' Ah' think you n' Ah would be just the pair ta' give the guards a good run round or two."

Fizz glances over to the beaten up sailor, shaking his head.
Nah, I think he's been through enough. I'll get him later on again. It ain't like I'm in a rush or anythin', can drop him in later again.
Fizz suddenly turns around and hops on top of the trident, sitting now on the level of Fate's face, looking at him with his large ocean blue eyes, a widen grin plastered on his face again.
Yeeeah... I've been to Demacia once. Apparently somethin' as simple as teaching the guy insultin' you in a bar a lesson is considered a crime there. Not like they could catch me, but still pretty annoying. Teachin' 'em to have some fun could be good.
Post by The Cardmaster on Jun 24, 2014 19:07:12 GMT -5
Twisted Fate would keep his hat low enough that even with Fizz being face level he wouldn't see The Cardmaster's eyes. It was a little bit of a habit of his, if others could read his eyes then they could really know what he was thinking. He liked to keep his thoughts to himself, and his thoughts would only be shared if he thought the others around him should know.
"Yeah Ah' reckon' that the Demacians are the most uptight people on Runeterra, but call me a bit curious. What would ya' do as yer' first prank in the city-state? Ah've been lookin' fer a little fun, n' while fishin' might be some fun, Ah' reckon' that pullin' a prank or two might be even a bit better."Twisted Fate liked to stir up trouble every now and then. Not to mention it had been a long while since he had been to Demacia, and figured the guards might miss his company, though he didn't miss their words and swords, and how they would go on and on about justice.
Post by The Tidal Trickster on Jun 28, 2014 2:53:03 GMT -5
Yeah, they got this really annoyin' "We're better than you" attitude goin'. Always thinking if anyone has some fun that doesn't fit their lil' laws, it's a bad thing and you should "answer for your crimes" or something.
Things like that makes Bilgewater sooooo much more fun to be at.
Fizz pokes at the edge of Fate's hat, grinning and shaking his head at the Cardmaster. Twisted Fate was always such a dramatic person, trying to keep his mystique as far as to not show anyone his eyes.
What would I do? Now, a good prankster never gives up his secrets Fate. But trust me, it'll be good. After all, when I went to Bandle City, I left with the whole city drunk. Gragas was nice enough to borrow me some of his brew, and I got it into their water supply.
Post by The Cardmaster on Jul 7, 2014 1:27:33 GMT -5
Twisted Fate would nod at Fizz's comment about Demacian views of "justice", "Tell me bout it', Ah' got that speech every time Ah' pass Garen in the hallway at the Institute." That was an exaggeration overall, Garen didn't give him that speech every single time, but most of the time The Cardmaster would receive an angry glare from the knight in armor. To which the gypsy would simply roll his eyes in response, he knew Garen wouldn't catch him, "Though Ah' reckon' he gets awful mad when Ah' taunt em' a bit, so maybe that's why he's always given me that speech." Granted, he didn't know for sure. However, when Fizz said that he couldn't reveal his secrets, he would nod. The Cardmaster wouldn't either, it was all a matter of remaining as unpredictable as possible.
"Ah' can understand that, but Ah' haven't heard bout' that prank of yer's in Bandle city. Though Ah' ain't never seen a yordle drunk before. Do ya' got funny stories bout' some of our fellow champions when they're drunk? Ah' imagine yordles don't got much of a tolerance to alcohol, n' if Gragas brewed it then Ah' doubt anyone avoided gettin' drunk." The Cardmaster would occasionally sample Gragas' brew, and it was strong. Some of the stronger stuff could knock The Cardmaster off his feet to say the very least, but often times Twisted Fate wouldn't drink that heavily.
Post by The Tidal Trickster on Jul 10, 2014 14:59:21 GMT -5
Guess they don't wanna talk 'bout it much. Most of the yordles were staggering around before the day was done, including the stiffy scout Teemo. Was a lovely sight... that stuff was strong, Gragas had a barrel of it, and even he got all messed up by it.
Fizz laughs wildly, seeming to have no problem keeping balanced on top of the trident despite the motion.
Well, if my memory ain't completely messing with me... I think I got one story. Or more an observation, or whatever the word was. The Scout captain seemed to be pretty darn fond of that junkyard kid, Rumble, if you know what I mean.
