Knowledge have proven itself to be a formidable ally to any who are willing to embrace it and it is such aim and purpose that has created the Lecturer's Hall. The hall for the keen minded, those that are willing to perfect their arcane arts and those who are willing to sharpen their blades with the mind of a well prepared seasoned veteran.
The Lecturer's Hall was established after the territorial invasion of Ionia by Noxus, as a mean of preserving knowledge, the knowledge of possible war, catastrophe and chaos enabled the unity in crafting such a facility, dedicated to preservation and protection of the ancient traditions of many that as of now still remain in Ionia.
The place was originally a library of sorts, a place for all those who had desired to leave something behind for the commoners to benefit from, for those who desire to understand the long standing history of Ionia, it's clans, it's magic and it's art of war. It is only in the aftermath of such political and tug of war that the facility see it's call to attention.
When the Elder Council have called the League's attention to preserve, to protect and to share, the League have decided to officially sanction this facility within this land of conflict, turmoil and past political disaster. The Lecturer's Hall as of now is known for it's weekly lectures, featuring champions and prominent summoners. Providing the knowledge that they are willing to share to those who will tread on their paths, or for those who are simply hungry for history and the beginning of all things.
The Institute of War have often preferred to consider the Lecturer's Hall it's off-branch in Ionia, but the Elders would disagree with such a notion. The Lecturer's Hall shall always remain a place for those who wish to stray from the political influence and affairs that had ravaged the talking chambers of the Institute, for those who wish to indulge on the knowledge of country state's history and traditions, instead of displaying power, it is knowledge here that is demanded from champions, champions who are willing to divulge what they know and what they have done on and off the fields of war.
((Of course, the place will be pretty empty without champions or anyone in particular providing lectures or scholars who are willing to pursue such knowledge. But seeing as no one has actually created a facility for such usage or purposes, I have decided to establish one in Ionia.))
