June 15th 23 CLE
The halls of the Institute of War were brimming with activity. It was a rare sight these days, usually they were empty, only echoes of distant sounds haunting them. But this evening was different. The main hall was lit, dozens of torches powered by magic kept it alight, there were sounds of commotion, glasses ringing, and smell of food in the air.
It was a social gathering, made for Summoners, Champions, and anyone else who’d be interested.
In before, such meetings were held roughly every month – they helped Summoners keep in touch with their champions, and discuss the recent changes and shifts of power. However, this was the first gathering in quite a while, and still… it wasn’t quite as numerous as it used to be. Out of all people invited, less than a half showed up. Some tables were just empty.
Still, there were plenty of people to go around. Most of them were Summoners – all wearing their identical purple robes, some carrying crystals, artifacts or magical jewelry, which made them look like overgrown ranged minions. These were the grunts – those who only aspired to become great, one day. For now, they just kept bragging one in front of another about their victories, while sheepishly silent about defeats. Nobody wants to look bad in front of a crowd, right? They helped themselves towards free food and drinks on the tables, and grouped up, depending on rank or personal preference.
Orianna was there too.
The metal maiden attended all the gatherings. While shunned during most of those, she kept up with mechanical persistence, and visited every single one, in attempts of socialization. Real Orianna would’ve been that way, and so must the automaton. From afar, she could’ve been mistaken for somebody else – wearing a rather expensive light-green dress with long sleeves, which covered most of her body, making her seem more human. However, the large key was still sticking out of her back, ticking and turning, slowly. The Ball was with her as well, never leaving the side of his mistress. Quietly, Orianna approached one of the cloaked figures from behind, and tapped him on the shoulder.
- Good evening, mister Lautrec. How are you today?
The figure instinctively shuddered, upon being prodded in the shoulder with the hard, cold metallic finger. The clockwork girl knew who it was. One of the Summoners who used her in a recent match. She knew plenty of Summoners this way - Orianna was a popular pick. She was strong, versatile, and the fact her personality was muted allowed for greater control to a summoner. They all adored her on the battlefield. When it was coming to conversing after the match, however…
- Uh… Hello Orianna… I’m fine.
The summoner turned around and smiled nervously. Bringing his hand to the shoulder and rubbing it lightly. The way she poked him was a bit too hard, but Orianna’s servos did have trouble with small, motoric movements. She moved closer, her feet clanking against the marble tiles with each step, to the point of standing right next to the man, her glowing eyes locking unto his.
- You did well in our last match. It was fun. I hope we will get to play together again.
The man blinked, not expecting any praise from the creepy wind-up doll.
- I … of-of course! You’re one of m…my favorite champions, O-orianna!
The man looked away, breaking eye-contact, when a small smile was plastered across Orianna’s face. She acknowledged what he said to her as a compliment. Compliments should be answered with smiles and appreciation. And so she did. But despite that, the summoner still seemed intent on leaving her presence. His stance was flighty, as if he was readying to take another step back.
- What is wrong?
The people were slowly leaving the part of the hall Orianna had been in. Moving towards another, where, as some heard, another champion had made an appearance…

Ahri had received an invitation to the gathering three weeks prior to the event. Her days were quite empty as of lately and the summoners insisted on her presence to the meeting. As reluctant as she was about attending the event, she gave in and agreed to join the summoners and champions alike. Ahri was indeed a popular champion among the people of Valoran, but also among the summoners and champions. However, she was rarely seen these days on the Fields of Justice. Although the Fox did not mind that her activity was diminishing, as it gave her more time to explore Runeterra and enjoy her pseudo-human life that she craved for.
But deep down in the core of her soul, Ahri felt like her place in the Institute was nothing but a fake image covered with the lies and deceptions of the high council who promised to give her the humanity she sought for so long. They said that they'd give her the solution to her problems if she agreed to serve them, yet, she received nothing from them after all this time she has been under their control.
The day arrived, but Ahri was not eager about it.
She dressed herself in a typical Ionian dress that covered the bottom half of her voluptuous chest and stretched out towards her knees. Nothing too fancy, yet not too casual at the same time; it represented her mindset perfectly: careless about the event yet careful about her own appearance. If she dressed herself in an exquisite way, she'd attract a lot of unwanted attention to herself and she hated it, but if she dressed herself too casually and even carelessly, then people will gain a bad image of her.
Patterns of roses and other exotic flowers painted the soft material of her robe, adding a pleasant touch to the azure colour of the dress that any curious gaze would enjoy feasting upon. The reason she picked such colour was because she knew that blue never truly attracted the eyes of the people unlike red or any other blasting colour that seemed vibrant enough to catch a person's attention.
But it also reminded her of her home, Ionia. The place where she was born and lived most of her life in. She had a variety of happy and sad memories when it came to that place, but with all of them mixed up together, many lessons could be learnt and Ahri always kept that in her mind: She must never forget why she joined the institute, because when one forgets the errors of the past, they tend to repeat them, and the Vixen certainly did not want to return to her heinous past.
Soft steps followed in her wake as she penetrated the grand halls where the gathering was held, and she was surprised not to see certain champions attending the event. All Noxians were absent, it was like they vanished from the face of their world. Even Noxian summoners seemed to have disappeared. While the Vixen did not care that much, it did raise a few questions to her thoughts; Perhaps she should ask one of the summoners around.
Moving quietly through the crowd and sending a few forced winks to the summoners who saluted her in a failed attempts to try to approach the beautiful woman, Ahri made her way to a table and took a seat.
As she elegantly laid herself on the chair, she began to gaze around her with her admirable aureate eyes, studying her environment as if she tried to look for an answer to an unknown question. She noticed a few champions around, notably Orianna, the mechanical girl who always tried to mimic a human being and sought social acceptance. She could see the nervousness in the body language of the summoner, and the scene that unfolded before her eyes reminded her of herself and her own goals to integrate human society.
She was certainly disgusted by the way they treated the clockwork lady, but there was not much she could do so far for her. Perhaps she should try to speak to her when she is less busy trying to communicate with the summoners who began to move away from her, like a clan of fish running away from the menacing shark.

- No no, nothing's wrong. Just... never expected the honor of speaking to you in person... That's all.
The summoner managed to get a better grip on himself, as he answered, still looking away, and brushing his hand against his nose. Orianna's head tilted, at an awkward angle, as she traced the hand going towards his face, and then back down. The man was lying. That little gesture gave it away. Like little kids try covering their mouths when they are not being honest. The adults do the same, frequently, only to a lesser extent. The clockwork lady read about it in a book. However, she acted not upon it.
- I understand. - she answered, and reached for the nearest table, picking up a wine glass from it. Holding its thin glass stem in between her metallic fingers. The summoner looked at her with a curious, yet slightly bewildered stare. Why would a machine pick up a glass? Orianna brought the glass to her lips, and inclined it slightly. Her lips were now colored with the slightest tint of crimson, but she did not drink a drop of it. She then gave the summoner a smile, which she wanted to look friendly. Except it didn't.
- Hey Lautrec! Where are you? Hurry up already! - the voices of the man's friends were heard from somewhere among the crowd. Lautrec breathed out in relief, having heard that call. He knew his friends wouldn't leave him behind. Turning to Orianna again, he bowed his head politely, and said:
- I'm sorry, m-my friends need me. It's been nice to make acquaintance.
And with that, Lautrec went, joining his two cohorts, and vanishing among the people, while breathing out words of gratitude to them, quietly. Indeed, they saved him from an awkward conversation with an even more awkward creature ... thing. Orianna's shoulders moved slightly, in a shrug, her voice ringing in a neutral tone:
- Good bye mister Lautrec. It was fun.
Her head slowly turned around, full 360 degrees, assessing her surroundings. There weren't too many left, and the couples left within the clockwork girl's vicinity were intensively looking the other way. There were two reasons for the crowds to move in a different direction. Most people were unnerved by Orianna, true, but every summoner liked Ahri. Inching closer to the table the vixen sat in, the purple-hooded man dared to approach. Coming about with a line similar to which he had been approached a few moments back.
- Greetings, Miss Ahri! I've been spectating your last match. You performed extraordinary.
His two other friends weren't far behind, grinning sheepishly, while their eyes wondered around, taking in the fox's exquisite attire, as well as ... other features.

Boredom... What do they even what? Their eyes, predators that drooled at the sight of her body and assets. Perverts, Ahri loathed the existence of such men, yet they were summoners, not much could be done about it.
A sigh escaped her tender lips as she crossed her arms over her chest, making sure to obstruct the intrusive vision of the men who dared to disrespect her by looking at her in such way. She was a living being after, perhaps not fully human, but she is looking to become one; not a mere object or eye candy.
She listened to the summoner, eyes studying his body language, expression and the voice that carried his words to her ears. She perceived every note that was associated with every word, trying to decode the intentions of the man and his friends that stood before her. It was safe to say that Ahri was quite familiar with such situation, she knew the ins and outs of a man and every little detail they expressed was caught by her sharp golden eyes.
They were all the same, Showering compliments, feasting eyes, hypocrite smiles, all for one goal Desire, lust and pleasure, mere primal urges that one seeks to satisfy.
The fact alone that she disliked summoners grew a negative aura on Ahri's expression. She was bored, nearly annoyed by their manners. A loud yawn escaped the grasp of her lungs before she decided to speak to the summoners with her alluring and soothing voice, trying to remain polite as she addressed those responsible of her on the Fields of Justice.
"I appreciate the kind compliments summoner, though I think other people deserve such compliments and attention as well. Your words have been perceived by my ears so many times that they are quite meaningless to me, you make me feel as if I am the best around."
Other people deserved it, Other beings needed acceptance.

- Eh-heh, well... The fact that you're the best is not far from truth. If you hear these words a lot from different people, surely all of them couldn't be wrong.
The summoner scratched behind his head, sheepishly, attempting to look coy and to sound witty. Though, he was a bit disheartened by how the vixen reacted to his compliment. It wasn't exactly a good head start when your words bore a lady. The man's mind scrambled for what else he could possibly say in order to get on the female's good side. Then it suddenly hit him.
- Oh, where are my manners. I have completely forgotten to introduce myself. My name is Lautrec, and these are my friends, Rinn and Lucard. - he nodded towards the other two behind his back, who nodded their heads so erratically as if they were wind-up toys themselves. Although the crowd around seemed to be minding their own business, one could feel occasional stares and opened ears. People were curious how this was going to turn out - not many around were brave enough to push a discussion further past the simple greeting and a tired compliment. The summoner's stared moved past the voluptuous chest and at the table in front of the champion, noticing she didn't take anything for herself yet.
- Um... is there anything I might get you?
__________
Having let the summoner go, Orianna found herself with nothing else to do, at least, for now. With the people having gradually moving in Ahri's direction, there were no familiar faces for her to strike a conversation with. She felt a bump against her side - the Ball had approached her, and squeaked something out in its language of buzzes and bleeps, a language that only Orianna was able to understand. She put her free hand against its surface, petting it, while still holding the wineglass with the other.
- Good idea. Maybe we can find novice summoners to convince to play with us.
With that, the metal lady made its move towards the crowd.
Post by The Nine-Tailed Fox on Jun 14, 2014 13:49:52 GMT -5
Pitiful attempts... amusing. A grin curved on her lips, charming to say the least. Try harder she thought, you may release me from my boredom.
Her fingers drummed over the table as she laid down her elbow over the wooden furniture and rested her chin in her open palm, aureate eyes gazing at the three summoners while she mocked them in her thoughts. They looked as foolish as the drunken warriors that slipped in her way and lost their lives to her hands, however this time, Ahri knew the consequences of her actions... they were the seeds of evil.
Acknowledging his question, the Vixen let a soft humming tune escape from her vocal chords as she took a hold of a string from her ebony hair and twirled it around her white finger. Ahri was not a drinker, she did not enjoy the taste of alcohol nor the scent of it. It gave her a funny feeling, and an unpleasant one as well. Shrugging her shoulders, she simply shook her head without saying a single word while her eyes noticed that the crowd was slowly drawing closer, and closer towards her.
But through the world, One being caught her eyes, weird and lonely, Come closer, perhaps we can be friends?
The sight of Orianna's ball hovering above the crowd caught Ahri's attention; She saw what these summoners did to her, and perhaps it was time to make them pay back and feel what it was like to be alone and left with nothing but a cold expression on the end of their thoughts of the person they tried to gain the attention of. A smirk drew upon her lips as she gracefully stood up, covering her body with her tails as she began to tread towards the clockwork lady. She moved through the crowd, ignoring the stares that were laid on her figure, focusing on only one thing: Orianna.
As she met the mechanical girl, Ahri offered her a genuine and friendly smile as she opened her arms to Orianna. The girl must've felt lonely in this party, nobody to talk to, everyone was afraid of her or at least crept out for some reason when all she was trying to do was to find friends and try to be a human being.
"Orianna! Dear! How is it going? It has been quite a while I have not seen you outside the Fields, mind if I keep you company~?" Asked the Fox as she attached a friendly tune to her voice and her words.
You're not alone, we do share the same traits, You and I alike, seeking acceptance, Let them learn from the 'best' how we treat others.

- Erm... umm...
The summoner, Lautrec, was left aghast, mouth a bit opened as he waited for an answer like a puppy, only to be shrugged off to the side, as the vixen lady stood up, and chose to depart. He didn't get in her way, nor did he follow her, figuring out that, somehow, he managed to get the champion upset. A few muffled laughs were heard among the crowd, making a frown appear on the man's face.
- I guess that's a 'No'...
- Well, at least you tried. - one of his friends patted him on the back, before the trio dissolved into the purple mass of other summoners, shying away from their defeat.
The crowd that kept covertly following around the Fox had began to dissipate, eventually, after noticing who the champion was moving towards. Orianna was seeing this tendency, until, at one moment, Ahri emerged from behind one of particularly tall and imposing summoners. The clockwork lady's upper body turned to face her, while her feet remained rooted to the ground. Eyes narrowing a bit as she spotted the champion.
Orianna knew who it was, marginally. Both being assigned to middle lane, they often found themselves opposing each other, hurling balls of steel and magic one at another. But aside from that, there was little interaction. The metal doll did not feel any hostility towards what she should be considering a 'rival'. She felt nothing at all. However the Ball crackled with electricity within itself, and brought itself in front of Orianna, protectively. She put a hand on it, moving the sphere away, and looked up at the fox.
- Hello Ahri. How are you? Are you enjoying the party? I enjoy it very much. It is lots of fun. - she said, her voice however did not conveying the cheerfulness her last words were supposed to have, everything spoken out in neutral tone, the metallic chords laced through her voice. She brought a smile upon her face, however the eyes weren't smiling. Orianna was slightly surprised, her gaze attentively moving from the face, towards the arms, and then back at the face again. She was unable to find any indication of the fox person pretending, or lying. No, for once, someone was genuinely happy to see her. Or so it seemed. The ball insisted in getting between the two, forcing Orianna to tap her metallic finger against its surface.
Post by The Nine-Tailed Fox on Jun 15, 2014 11:26:06 GMT -5
"It's okay, I can understand its caution around a person like me" said the Fox as she kept a bright smile on her lips, her eyes gazing at the ball then drifting back to Orianna's jaded mechanical gaze. She noticed that the summoners didn't even bother to follow her anymore which grew both a sense of relief and irritation. Why would they approach her, a being who stole men's life in the past, and not Orianna, a robot lady who simply sought to integrate society? Which constituted the most danger to them?
Ignorant fools, they are desperate, Human nature can be disgusting sometimes, Selfish men, the lots of them.
Ahri let a sigh roll out of her lungs as she stood before her Field rival. Much like Orianna, Ahri held no particular hatred towards the clockwork lady, on the contrary, she had some sympathy for her, perhaps even a special little place in her heart due to the common traits they shared. People who can understand you and your struggles are quite hard to come by, especially in Ahri's and Orianna's case.
It was quite hard for the Vixen to perceive her emotions through her voice. Perhaps because her words had no particular notes to them, they were just plain, devoid of any tune and taint, as if Orianna had no feelings at all regarding whether she enjoyed the party or not. It did raise Ahri's concern, even her facial expressions gave out her mindset: was she giving up? Did these men actually hurt her with the way they treated her? Perhaps the Fox should keep her company and change things around. She felt the need to make the mechanical girl happy and sensed a determination growing in her heart.
"How about we get something to drink and converse, we can even dance later on when they start to put up some music!" claimed the Fox as she offered her hand to Orianna and gave her a genuine smile.
Post by The Lady of Clockwork on Jun 15, 2014 14:02:31 GMT -5
Orianna's head tilted sharply when the word 'dancing' was mentioned by the 8-tailed female.
The automaton liked dancing. Or, to be more exact, was made to like it. Just like the girl in facsimile of which she was built, Orianna was very good at dancing, her Ball often acting as a partner to her. However, she had never danced with another partner before. A spark of interest was lit, her eyes glowing a bit brighter, with their eerie blue light.
- This is very exciting. I like dancing. I would dance with you, but only if the Ball allows.
Upon that being said the Ball let out an incoherent flurry of bleeps and noises, which, however, sounded like the techmaturgical apparatus had been slightly upset. Orianna's lips then formed something akin to a smile, before turning her head back to Ahri, her voice ringing:
- The Ball says that he does not mind. Just this once.
With that, the duo, or should I better say, trio, moved away from the bulk of the summoners, towards one of the tables where a couple of wine bottles and glasses were. The Ball floated ahead of the two, opening up, something akin to a robotic arm coming out, taking the bottle and pouring wine into one of the glasses, before hovering back and offering the drink to Ahri. Orianna watched his movements, before turning her head to face the fox once more. Her posture was ever so awkward, with heard turned beyond a comfortable angle for most humans, and the fabrics of the dress caught and twisted in between the empty space of her waistline. Yet she didn't seem to mind it at all - such things never really bothered her. No, the other things did.
- Did you talk to the summoners? There are so many of them here.
Post by The Nine-Tailed Fox on Jun 15, 2014 22:09:17 GMT -5
Ahri could not help but smile at Orianna's reaction and words that expressed her enthusiasm for dancing. The tone of her voice may be empty, but she could see through her mechanical expressions that she indeed liked the idea. Looking at the ball, she listened and tried to understand its language to see if she could nitpick a few words that would allow her to understand their conversation; unfortunately, it was not possible. But it seemed like it had agreed to let Orianna dance with the charming Vixen, and it certainly delighted the fox to hear that.
Despite Orianna's presence beside her, Ahri could still feel the eyes of the summoner devouring her in the most repulsive way, trying to take a peak at her body as she trod towards a table alongside the clockwork lady. When they settled down, Ahri quickly shot a vile glare at the men that were staring at her, giving them a warning without words to make sure that they knew their limits before returning her golden gaze back to Orianna. Even with the robot's awkward mannerisms, Ahri did not feel uncomfortable, mostly because she assumed that a robot didn't feel much pain when cocking their heads in weird position due to the way they were built. A soft chuckle escaped her lungs as she rose the glass of wine to her lips and took a sip, before settling it down on the table and saying.
"I do not usually drink, but I have to admit, this is some good wine. As for the summoners, I will be honest and tell you that I do not enjoy conversing with them, mostly because of the way they think of me and how they approach me. To them, I may be a mere object, or a woman without any feelings; if they consider me as a woman anyways." Bitterness and anger were used to colour her words as she stated her opinion on the summoners.
Post by The Lady of Clockwork on Jun 16, 2014 4:57:20 GMT -5
The fox was upset with the summoners.
Orianna could see that, yet she did not understand her reasoning all too well. She said that the summoners viewed her as an object without feelings, and barely a woman, and yet the automaton had seen them approach Ahri hoping for just that - feelings and ... other womanly things. Flirting too, perhaps. It puzzled the metal lady, and she made it known.
- Summoners seem to like you. They approach you on their own offer compliments. They are always talking about you. - she said, giving a distant look towards the crowd. It may have sounded like an incomprehensible racket to a normal ear, but her mechanical one could tune out and decipher dialogues one from another. Orianna brought the wine glass to her lips once more, barely touching the crimson liquid, to imitate drinking.
- They do not like me very much. - she said, her tone even and neutral, with just a little bit of melancholy underneath it; - They are tense and jolty when I am close. But that is ok. The Ball likes me. - the floating sphere next to her chirped out happily in acknowledgement, earning another petting to its surface by the automaton's metallic hand.
- The summoners like to play with me on the Fields of Justice. The Ball and I perform well. I receive many requests to participate in matches. But they shy away every time I approach them outside the fields. It is strange, I do not understand... - Orianna had finished the thought, before looking up at Ahri, staring at her face, and into her eyes for a few long, awkward moments, head tilting and twitching, adjusting for the 'perfect' angle.
Post by The Nine-Tailed Fox on Jun 17, 2014 6:38:14 GMT -5
Orianna's question rose Ahri's curiousity. The Fox pondered the idea, trying to figure out why the summoner's drifted away from the clockwork lady whenever she attempted to speak to them and have a normal interaction. Perhaps it was because she was not like them, because she was a robot, but then again, Zac gets a lot of interaction and he is certainly not a human. Nasus also gets a lot of attention despite him not being a human. So what was wrong with Orianna?
Perhaps she lacked the emotions and enthusiasm that would normally attract human beings to one another, perhaps she lacked the charisma to draw people towards her and make friends. Perhaps it was her awkward mannerisms that made people feel uncomfortable around her; But if that was the case, how could Ahri tell her that? Wouldn't she appear mean or hurtful?
The Vixen took a deep breath and took a sip from her wine before gazing at Orianna once again with her beautiful golden eyes, still lost in her thoughts as she attempted to figure out some speech for the metallic girl.
"Perhaps you lack the emotions and charisma that draw people towards you..." her words slipped out of her mind as she tried to explain to her the situation. Realising this, Ahri's eyes grew wide in embarrassment and laid her fingers on her lips as she tried to keep herself shut.

*CRRKTINK!*
It was the sound of the stem of the wine glass shattering within Orianna's fingers that were holding it, followed by the bowl falling down and breaking into many pieces, against the stone tiles, spilling the crimson liquid over its surface. Orianna's limbs always had trouble with delicate motor control, which resulted in breaking small fragile objects, like pencils and such. The automaton looked at the mess she made, without any emotion, before uttering a single:
- I'm sorry.
She knelt, swiftly picking up the broken pieces, and putting them on the table, along with the foot of the ruined wine glass, and the remains of the stem. The crimson stain on the floor, however, was nothing she could do about. Returning to Ahri, Orianna continued the discussion, as if nothing happened. Wrapping both arms around the ball, now that they were free.
- And I have emotions. I can smile or frown, laugh or cry. I smile when I greet somebody, I express irritation when I am supposed to be upset. - she countered, though not sounding particularly mad about anything. However, there was a new word which the Fox had mentioned, which Orianna didn't find in her vocabulary. It was the word 'Charisma', oddly enough. In her studies, the automaton did not encounter such a word, and now gave Ahri a curious stare.
- What is 'charisma'? Is it an emotion? What does it look like?
Post by The Nine-Tailed Fox on Jun 19, 2014 8:46:27 GMT -5
The sound of shattering glass penetrated Ahri's ears and resonated in the depth of her mind. Was it her words that caused it? Did she make her angry? Ahri was worried, her gaze studying the clockwork girl as if she was trying to figure out what happened. Upon hearing her answer, a sigh of relief escaped her lips; then again, she did not really know whether she was just being nice to the Fox or her words were truly genuine. She seemed to have struggled to find the answer but eventually dropped it as Orianna asked her about the meanings of Charisma.
"Well you see, charisma gives your words more life, more enthusiasm, it puts emphasis on your current emotions, whether you are happy, sad or just trying to get a thought across to another person." Stated the Fox with a polite smile curving on her lips.
But what if she asks her for a demonstration? That is quite hard to actually show what charisma is unless one practiced it and attempted to put a soul into their words. The vixen pondered for a few seconds before bringing her attention back to the automaton.
"Expressing your emotions is more than just showing how you feel, it is to make the other person understand how you feel. One can simply smile to show friendliness, but they could be hiding evil thoughts behind their smile thus they fake it. Others could show sadness or tears, but they actually have no true and deep emotions in their heart. Charisma, is one of the things that allows you to make the other person understand how you feel and not only show them how you feel."
Post by The Lady of Clockwork on Jun 20, 2014 10:14:35 GMT -5
Orianna went silent once more, when Ahri began to talk.
The explanation given by her was about an obscure and indirect notion about human emotion that the automaton, somehow, managed to overlook in her studies. The explanation itself was lengthy and elaborate, but she managed to dumb it down to a few key points, within her head. First was that just imitating emotion with facial expressions and voice was, somehow, not enough.
- Without charisma, whatever I try to convey would feel made up, shallow and void. Is that it? - she looked at the fox again, though the question was not only for her to answer. Orianna put said question towards herself as well. People can smile and say kind words while having evil intent on their minds. If so, then they are lying about their emotions, with their expressions... Am I lying?
At that thought a small frown appeared on Orianna's face, momentarily. It was an uncomfortable thought to develop and expand on. She shoved it at the very back of her mind, but with a note to explore it on a later date. Not here, not when speaking to the only friendly person at the whole assembly. Looking back at the fox, the automaton managed to pull another static smile on her face.
- Thank you Ahri, for explaining to me. I shall work on developing this 'Charisma', to have people believe me and understand me. - she said, and the Ball in her hands confirmed it with happy, high-pitched chirping. It was ironic that the techmaturgical device without a face, or even a voice was conveying more emotions than Orianna ever did.
Meanwhile the banquette was moving past the dining and socialization stage towards the 'entertainment'. A small stage was set up in the middle of the Great Hall, and a curious quartet of musicians wielding various instruments has appeared. Orianna had noticed.
