Lux listened, her gaze interested. At last she nodded, saying, "I guess it's hard to be immortal in a world where...well, we're not," she said simply. "I mean, watching people pass on, I can't imagine what that must be like."
Her face changed slightly at the angel's words, and Lux studied her companion for a long time. At last she said, "Everybody has their demons. I am no different in that sense." She shrugged as she spoke.

Kayle nodded in agreement and leaned back in the chair, her wings stretching out. Kayle looked at Lux for a moment before speaking. "You have my aid if you ever want to confront them." She simply said. "But.. for now... could you point me to where I may rest?" Kayle had been up for weeks straight, and she was exhausted.

A startled look crossed the mage's face at Kayle's words. Lux looked the angel over,the surprise changing to an unreadable expression. At last she said, "You offer is appreciated, Kayle, and I thank you," her voice quiet, her sincere gaze meeting Kayle's eyes.. That said, she rose gracefully. Outside, Albert was waiting for them. Wordlessly he bowed to the pair of them before gesturing for them to follow him down the hallway. His gait was brisk yet slow enough that neither of them got left behind. Lux fell into step behind the manservant, keeping Kayle company.
The hallways and stairs ended a few minutes walk from their previous room, and this was where Albert bowed and left them. Lux turned to smile at the woman. "Here's the room you can use. I hope you sleep well. Is there anything else you need?"

Kayle followed them silently before stopping in front the room. She shook her head at Lux's request. "No.. I am fine, thank you, Miss Crowngaurd." She said giving a small bow. Assuming Lux needed nothing else of Kayle, the angel stepped into the room and closed the door softly behind her. She worked her way out of her armor, making sure she was a lone first. She laid it neatly on the floor in front of the bed, now dressed in the red suit she wore under it. Kayle then collapsed onto the bed and laid her head on one of the pillows, quickly falling asleep.

Lux nodded at Kayle's reply, shooting the woman a smile in farewell. "Good night then. I'll see you in the morning no doubt."
That done, she left the angel to her privacy, returning to the previous room to retrieve her book. She then made her way to her room and spent the rest of the night finishing her chapter she was on. All in all, it was more than a lovely way to end her night. When she did go to sleep, she slept without dreaming.

Kayle would sleep till late in the morning before finally getting up. She rolled out of bed and stretched, feeling much better. She dawned her armor once more and exited the room, wandering about the mansion in search of Lux.

The mage woke at her usual time, rising and getting dressed. It was obvious by the silence that Kayle had risen yet, so the mage spent some time completing the chapter she was on before going in search of the angel.
Kayle wasn't wandering long before she was spotted by Lux. "I was just coming to find you - breakfast should be served shortly. Would you like something to eat?"

Kayle looked around the mansion, taking everything in as she did so. When she spotted Lux, she gave a small bow. Not wanting to be rude, Kayle nodded. "Thank you, Miss Crowngaurd"

The mage led the way to the dining hall. While the mansion did have a formal dining room for pompous events and occasions, this one was simpler and smaller - a reduction in formality and an increase in coziness. The table had already been set by servants that had come through, and a maid was just setting out the last dish when the pair showed up. A glance showed it was simple yet elegant fare: Some toast with eggs and bacon and the like, fruit, and a fresh pot of tea. The maid approached the pair. "Would you like assistance with your meals?" she asked.

"No, thank you." Kayle said, sitting in one of the chairs. She took a plate of eggs and a fork and began to quietly eat, keeping her eyes on the table as she silently let her mind wander a bit.

Lux shook her head, politely refusing the maid's offer of help. "Thank you, but no. We're both fine. You may leave." The maid nodded and curtsied before taking her leave. Lux poured herself and the angel a cup of tea before reaching for the toast. She ate silently, her mind on the food which was of good quality as always. "I hope you had a good rest," she said to Kayle.

Kayle looked up from her plate, swallowing the food in her mouth before speaking. "I did, the bed was quite comfortable. Thank you again, Miss Crownguard." Kayle said, taking a piece of bacon and biting a piece off. The food here was strange, but she grew accustom to the taste enough to like it.

The mage smiled, glad that Kayle was good this morning. "It's good to know that you slept well, Kayle," she replied. She paused, reaching over to take a sip of tea and enjoying the warmth and the taste of the brew. "Do you need to stay longer? I'm more than happy to assist you with that."

"I suppose I will need a place to stay until I get my home sorted out in Demacia... if you will have me, that is." Kayle replied, looking back up at Lux. Kayle stood up and took her empty plate, looking down at it before speaking. "Where would you have me put this?"
