Name: Soul
Alias: The Ghastly Soul, Alma Ferruxe, Angel
Class: Soul Armor, Tank, DPS
Race: Undead
Age: 17 (And another 7 since his resurrection, so 24 technically)
Occupation: Lost Spirit
Residence: N/A
Alignment: Neutral Good
Abilities: CORRODING TOUCH: Soul’s armor is imbued with ancient negative energy that saps positive energy holding things together; iron crumbles like rust when he’s touching it, wood rots quicker, and animals become weak and weary. It doesn’t work on anything sentient, or with a true soul, however. The process becomes faster the closer the contact is to his chest, however; while things he holds will ‘rust’ over a good thirty minutes, although not all the way through, if he touches them to his chest, the rust will spread like a fire to paper. Soul can also leave a piece of his armor on the ground nearby himself, causing enemies in an AoE to be affected by his corrosive touch, slowing them down and reducing their resistances.
DAGGER: Soul’s only real sidearm is a dagger made of the same material as his armor. While it doesn’t have the power of CORRODING TOUCH, it is capable of resisting it, and will not rust in any period of contact with him. While it’s not his favorite feature, it also has a serrated edge to inflict extra punishment on anyone he stabs as well as to cut through solid materials.
LEVIATHAN'S BLADE: Soul's newest weapon, he inherited it from Leviathan after he was slain in combat. While it has no special abilities, it's a sturdy, well-built sword with a sheath, capable of resisting his CORRODING TOUCH as well as being constantly sharp. While he isn't skilled in using it, when paired with his considerable luck and undead attributes he can at least cause plenty of damage to enemies, mortal or undead.
UNDEAD STRENGTH: Being undead has added to Soul's strength, and while he's weak in terms of the undead, he's very strong compared to most mortals, and can lift heavy weapons and items with ease (although it usually doesn't end well for the heavy weapons and items)
ROUGH N' TOUGH: Being undead has also made Soul very difficult to kill or injure, especially since he's not like a typical undead. He has no physical body outside of his armor, so hitting his armor is the only way to hurt him. He also has a high tolerance for pain, making it difficult to faze him with blunt force and such.
SOUL CORE: Soul's soul is tethered to his armor through an orange orb in his chest. It's durable and can't be broken by day-to-day wear and tear, but a fall from a great height or being stabbed through it would certainly shatter it, causing his soul to pass on to the next stage of unlife. It's also the source of his CORRODING TOUCH, which means that it's likely that a sword used to kill him would never be used again, and a sword that comes close would not have a second chance.
SOUL’S FLAMES: The ‘flames’ that make up Soul’s body are the remnants of his human soul; while they are harmless and will not burn to the touch, coming into contact with them will momentarily immerse you in the memories of his human-hood. While it will feel like you may be in there for hours, it never takes more than three seconds in the real world, and can’t be used in battle.
Relationships:
KARTHUS: Reanimated him from death and put him in the Ghastly armor. Soul’s soul now belongs to him, and while Soul has a large margin of free will, Karthus had veto power over his actions - at least until he no longer had use of him. Now Karthus has thrown him aside, leaving Soul to find his own way and turning his blessing into a curse.
ELISE: Soul used to treat her with paranoia, as she was a link to his father's death via her cult, but when she killed Soul, his paranoia became fruitful, leaving him with an intense hatred of the Spider Queen, enough so that he wouldn't think twice if given an opportunity to kill her.
Description: BEFORE REVIVAL: A very tall (6’6") teen with a constant thin sheet of stubble, scraggly dirty blonde hair, and a pair of glasses that are broken, bent, and smudged. He normally wears a t-shirt and jeans, although sometimes he wears a flannel shirt over his t-shirt, or a hooded jacket, if it’s really cold out. His eyes are blue, and he’s relatively average-toned in relation to skin. He’s not entirely fit, but he’s not unhealthy, either.
AFTER REVIVAL: While he retained his height, instead of a body, he has an orange flame, with black, spiked armor containing it. The armor is a full suit, covering every inch of his would-be body, making his form appear almost human, aside from the bright orange eyes and terrifying visage of a black, war-torn suit of armor. Set into the chest is a pale orange orb, from which stems his corroding touch, whose magical aura is apparent to the attuned immediately and is obvious on contact.
Soul is honest and loyal, as well as incredibly stubborn and concentrated. He tries to be jovial, but sometimes can swing into somber without a moment's notice, his past catching up with him. While he tries his best to forget the past, it often catches up to his memories, leaving him confused or even infuriated.
Biography: Alma had an utterly unremarkable Noxian life until he was thirteen. Around that time, Elise, the Spider Queen, entered in with her cult, which his dad, his only parent, quickly joined. After they left, only for him to never return, Soul had at first felt happy for his father, but eventually became wary of the cult.
In an attempt to find his father, he joined the cult with his older brother, Leviathan, who was a vigilant and strong Noxian warrior. They became entrenched in the highest matter of the cult, following it to the letter until he was invited to come on the glorified journey to meet their god. On route, he constantly pestered Elise with questions, some verging on having her reveal her secret to the passengers on the boat, even while his brother urged him to keep safe. When they landed, to keep him and his brother 'safe,' she took them aside before guiding the others to ‘answer their questions,’ but instead injected him with powerful neurotoxin without a moment's warning, killing his brother in front of him. Then, she left him to die, guiding the other poor souls to their doom, letting him spend his last few minutes in deadly agony on top of the corpse of his brother.
He was left laying there, slowly feeling the darkness overcome him, when he woke up as if from a dream. Standing above him was Karthus, tome in hand, looking over the fiery flames of Alma's soul. Not even bothering to refer to him by name, Karthus took the lone Soul and bound it to armor, the binding taking the form of a seal of corroding energy. Karthus then gave him two weapons, an ancient, ritualistic dagger, and his brother's sword, bathed in the blood of family in arcane rituals to protect the blade from Soul's essence.
For years, Soul was forced to serve Karthus in spreading 'the Gospel of Death,' as Soul liked to call it, happily serving the one who saved him from an eternity in the abyss. But soon enough, others were risen who were far superior to Soul in their aptitude of killing. Karthus saw Soul no different from any other minion, preparing to banish him into death after death, but instead showed his own form of mercy, sending him back to the mainland of Runeterra, where he would find a way to spread Death's Gospel whether by his own fault or other's.
So Soul wanders Runeterra, still holding onto his young ideals of life and death, but constantly growing to become more like any other vengeful spirit, bent on destroying all in his path - just not yet. Hopefully never.
“Everyone is equal in death. Some are just more equal than others.” -Soul
Long-term Goals:
-Recover humanity (impossible, but still a goal)
-Improve swordsmanship
-Learn to control his power
-Prove to the mortals that not all undead are that bad
((Yes Rurin, I'll get around to fixing my icon...eventually...and Razie, I hope this works for you.))
