Plankwalkin' Pete's is a large, active tavern, widely known for the rowdy festivities it hosts during September's annual Grog Slog. There's plenty to do all year round, however. Drunken revelry, singing, pirate arm wrestling, card games and heavy flirtation are common in its smoky interior.
The place is welcoming to travelers and stocks a healthy assortment of the best liquors in Valoran--particularly rum. Its peg-legged owner often appears behind the bar himself, touting his expansive selection. "What do yeh fancy: Black Pearl, Rapture, or the house special Mount Atin Eclipse? Whatever et be, traveler, kick off yer boots. Yer in Bilgewater now. An' now be tha time tah let loose."

Graves slammed the door open, the pirates, swords, and fighting could be heard far before their arrival. Many looked at Graves and gave him a hearty " Yarr!" and and clicked their booze with each other, taking a swig. Graves entered and quickly made hsi way through the crowd and fights to the bar stools, told three of them to take a hike, flashed Destiny, and sat down to look back at his two companions.
" Welcome to Pete's. Always ah' little crazy round here." He chuckled and turned back to the bar. The bartender making his way over and resting his arms on the bar table, taking a look at the three. "Ah! Graves. It be ah' whiskey for ya' What bout yee other two? What ya' Fancy? Whiskey, Black Pearl, Rapture?"

Behind Graves would come Sky with no noticeable weapons on hand. But by now, people had heard of the sky pirate. She'd pass a few, getting the usual whistles and lewd comments from various pirates about. Though as she'd set her gaze on some, many would quickly go back to what they were doing. She'd made a bit of a reputation for herself over the past few months. And following Graves had to mean something, right?
She'd glance back at the old man and smirked a bit as she stepped up to the bar and plopped down on the stool. "Okay since you're paying, you get to choose the booze. Pick your best." Confident she could handle anything given her ridiculous tolerance to sake.

Scrod lagged behind Graves and Sky through the bar, nonchalantly weaving through the drunken pirate chaos like a real veteran.
A few people here and there would shout his name and he'd acknowledge them with a modest smile or a nod of his head. Apparently there were people still alive that knew him from his glory days and still held much respect for him, even though all he did now was go fishing.
When they reached the bar Scrod noticed there weren't many stools left. Sighing, he went over to the other end of the bar and threw a man who'd obviously had more than his fill of drinks off his bar stool, getting quite a few laughs from the patrons while he obsconded with it back to where Graves and Sky sat.
"Not tryin' to impose none so I'll drink whatever Graves here's intendin' to payin' fer'." Scrod told the bartender not really paying attention as he shuffled through his pockets for searching for something. After a few moments he pulled out a large flask and placed it on the bar.
"Also if ya' could fill this here up fer' me with some o' yer finest whiskey that'd just about make my day. I'll be payin' fer' that much." he'd say as he'd motion towards his flask.

Graves took a look to sky and scrod, laughing when scrod secured his seat, and turned to Pete. " Well suppose we want ta' on house special Mount Atin Eclipse, lookin' ta' get out of our minds drunk." He smirked at sky. "Hope ya' can handle it...otherwise i might have ta' take ya' home.." He flirted, putting coins on the table.
Ole Pete smiled and swiped the coins into his hand immediately getting to work. "Good choice, ehehe." He then grabbed the container scrod held out and turned to the barrels and bottles. He filled up scrods container from a barrel of whiskey, making sure to fill it as much as he could for a repeat customer. Then he reached udner the table and fetched three bottles of Atin Eclipse. He slid one to Graves and sky and set down a bottle by Scrod and returned the Whiskey. " There ya' go scrod. Givin' yee the good stuff all ta' time."
He then was called and went to service a pirate further down the bar, his peg legging clicking all the while.
"Aha-haha-ha~" She said nervously as Graves commented on taking her home, "Y'know I'd be more than happy to teach you to fly, Graves." Pointing up to indicate the sky, "Most don't last long. Be interesting to see if you did." Smirking wickedly at him. She had no qualms with throwing him off her ship at 6,000 ft.. And that's being nice. It'd be funnier to watch him fall from a higher altitude, but she kinda liked the guy.
When the drink was slid to her, she'd sniff it and shrug, taking a long pull from it as if she were totally confident she could handle the booze with ease. Smacking her lips together once, she'd grin a bit, "Heh. Not bad. Like my sake more though."

"As always Pete, much obliged." he'd tell the bartender grinning and nodding before he watched him limp off to serve another customer. Scrod would put his flask away before adjusting himself in his seat a bit to get more comfortable.
"Hahaha, good man Graves I like yer' taste in booze! Hopin' yer' not stingy eitheir 'cuz I intend to drink my fill now since were gettin' the good stuff." he told them matter of factly as he took a healthy swig of the Mount Atin Eclipse. He'd place the bottle back on the bar sighing in satisfaction.
"That there's some good drink...ya' know I always had me a lil' sayin' when it came to alcohol. Never drink...unless you're alone or with somebody. Puttin' it simpler, always drink!" he then looked over to Sky and laughed at her preference to sake. In his opinion what they were drinking was some of the best booze in Valoran, "Everyone's done got there preferences though I suppose..." he thought to himself as he continued to enjoy his drink.
"Ya' know I don't think I quite caught yer' name yet girl..." he'd trail off as he again took the bottle and lifted it to his lips to drink it like water.

He laughed at Sky when she threatened to throw him off. We will see about that... He would be getting off the ship on a rope after a good time and not getting thrown off. He smirked to himself a bit.
Graves took a drinks right from the bottle, gulping down the purplish liquid then slamming it down on the table. " Drink it up Scrod, though if ah' drink more than ya' then yer' buyin'." He offered as a challenge, giving the old man a smirk then taking another swig. He was quite sure he would win the challenge...though maybe he underestimated how much scrod could drink up.

Sky turned as she watched the two drink down the bottles. She was sure she could beat them! Though when Scrod asked her name, her expression darkened, ". . . Mai." Screw everyone else! She liked her original name. "Or Sky.. Doesn't matter which." Shrugging, "As long as I don't have to see that sonofabitch who gave me the second name, no harm, no foul." Shrugging some. She'd turn back to the booze, and chugged a bit more down.
"AH! I hope he out drinks ya, Graves. Be funny as shit seeing an old man point and laugh at you face down in the peanut dish."
Post by Richard "Scrod" Wiedemann on Mar 3, 2013 22:57:01 GMT -5
"Mai? That's a nice name...can tell you aint too fond o' the other one, so I won't go n' pester you none about it. Far as I'm concerned you only got one name around me n' that's Mai, sound fair to you?" he replied to Sky smiling.
He turned his attention to Graves after finishing his drink and listened to his offer. A grin slowly formed on Scrod's lips and grew wider as Graves subtly challenged him to a drinking contest
"Ohohoho! That's a bold offer there Outlaw, sure yer' keen on followin' though with it though? Don't wana go n' accidently embarass yourself by losin' to an old salt like myself do ya'?" he taunted.
"I'll give you a fair warnin' I done drunk many a bold man under the table n' I got no qualms addin' you to that list Graves." he told Graves still grinning wildly, a fire in his eye. In Scrod's mind this was going to be very fun, atleast for him and Graves since he wasn't sure how well Sky could handle her booze.
"Is ol' Scrod gonna have to put these here two youngsters in their place by drinkin' 'em both under the table?" he shouted loudly across the bar getting hoots and hollers from the bar patrons who seemed just as excited as he was about the drinking contest.
"Eitheir of you care to make this lil' contest o' ours more interestin'?"

Plankwalkin' Pete's was the biggest, loudest and smelliest tavern in all of Bilgewater. It had it all, booze, gambling, wenches, fighting, even the occasional murder. It was a haven to any man that called himself a pirate
Gangplank planted on boot firmly into the door and kicked it open wide. He entered the establishment, followed by his crew, A sudden silence followed as he entered. When Gangplank came to Plankwalkin' Pete's it was to either celebrate a successful trip... or vent over a failed one.
Gangplank grinned as he watched the over the crowded bar, its patrons waiting in anticipation for either a party or a brawl.
"YAR HAR HAR!" he laughed loudly. "Settle down me mateys! Gangplank is here to share his good fortune with!" he turned to the bar owner. "A round of me Black Pearl Rum of me thirsty mateys!"
Plankwalkin' Pete's exploded with cheers. It was a good night to be a pirate.

Graves drank down his bottle and smirked at Scrod, this would be interesting indeed. He would sure make this a high stakes game...it would be the center of attention for the whole bar for the money he was betting on this game. Luckily he gained it from a little incident..so he would have spare cash if it fails.
Graves stood up and put his hands on the table, other pirates interested in what he was about to announce. "Alright scrod, i bet ya' 1000 gold coins ya' wont drink me under ta' table." The pirates were in an uproar, all setting their own bets on who would win this. It would most likely catch GangPlanks attention... Old pete quickly filled gangplanks order and set the mugs out on the counter. "Lisen up all yee! Drinkin' contest between Graves an' scrod up here! 1000 gold coins on ta line!" He yelled out to bring hype (and more customers) in.
Sky laughed at the bet, hopping up onto the bar to yell over Graves, "And whoever wins, get's a kiss from--" Looking at some random wench in the bar, "HER!" Yeah right, like she'd volunteer herself for that! The pirates looked over and a few faintly, 'Arrr~'. Not particularly seeming interested in the likely 'well aquanted' wench Sky had pointed at. She'd sit on the bar itself, chugging down the last of her bottle before throwing it down onto the ground to break it, "FINE! Kiss from me, then!" She didn't specify what sort. So she was safe in that sense. She hadn't realized it, but the little Sky Pirate was already buzzing a bit. The alcohol was a fair bit different then that of sake. Unfortunately that meant she would be a bit more suseptable to getting drunk. She didn't show it yet, though!
"Wait.. You're challenging me too? Ahaha! Can't resist a good challenge like that! 1000 gold I'll pitch in. If you drink me under the table, either of you, you'll get a kiss.." muttering quickly, "..my choice of kiss.." before speaking up again, "And a chunk of gold."
"Let's see if you wingless bitches can out drink a sky pirate! ARR!" Grabbing another bottle, and thrusting it into the air.
Post by Richard "Scrod" Wiedemann on Mar 3, 2013 23:48:46 GMT -5
"1000 gold? I'll match that then. Ya' done got yourself a bet Graves!" Scrod replied loudly so the bar patrons could hear.
When Sky also matched Graves' bet and added that she'd kiss the winner Scrod's face lit up with surprise. He didn't expect that from her, but then again he had known her for all but a few minutes.
"Well look'it here the lil' sky pirates got some fire in her after all! Best get ready to pucker up n' hand over that there gold Mai, you aint out drinkin' ol' Scrod!" he told Sky jokingly, though he was completely serious that she wasn't going to beat him with the drinking.
Truthfully, Scrod was surprised how anxious Sky seemed to be about the contest. In his mind a small young girl like herself wouldn't be able to handle anywhere near as much liquor as he could, pirate or not. He did however respect her for not being timid or shy about it. This was really going to be a good time after all.
"Let's have us a round here then Pete! Don't keep me waitin' now, this'll make fer' a fine, easy payday real quick like!" Scrod said as he slammed his hand on the bar table loudly laughing heartily, waiting for the booze to be served and the contest to start.

"A contest of drink we be having here?" Gangplank roared as he approached the bar. "Why I will not have such a thing happen unless you allow the Saltwater Scourge a chance at the prize! And what a prize she is." he finished, looking over Sky like only a pirate can. He knew they wouldn't refuse him. Who would dare refuse Gangplank in his own den?
He knew Graves could hold his grog quite well, and even though he was old, Scrod was no pushover. The Ionian beauty looked like she was already two feet deep into the bunghole. But one doesn't become 15 time Scab winner without being able to hold his own liquor.
"Pour as much grog as you need barkeep! Gangplank be paying for the tab tonight!" He raised his glass to his 3 competitors. "May the drinking begin!"
