Feb 3, 23 CLE
The streets of Noxus were moving around at an alarming rate, business was booming in the down town market area. People were yelling and rushing past booths, little orphaned children easily swindled food and other goods without the peddler even realizing
A foreigner to the city, a man from Piltover, was wandering the streets. Kevin originally had visited the city to view The Butchering that had just ended the day before. He was surprised by what he saw and was glad he came. The hooded man enjoyed the city of Noxus, but he thought it was time to leave, after buying some supplies of course. He approached a stall, gold in hand, and took a look at the owner's merchandise. After a few minutes of deciding what he wanted, he would pick up all he wished to take and handed the man the correct amount of gold. However, it seemed as though something had been stolen from the stall recently, Kevin being the only one he could find to blame was grabbed by his collar and yelled at by the angered merchant. "Hey! Kid! Where do you think you're going with all that huh? You think you can just steal from me and get away with it, ya' thief!?"
Kevin looked at the man in confusion, he had no stolen anything from the man and instead had paid for what he had taken. But it seems as though the man had made a mistake. He spoke in a calm voice trying to defuse the situation. "I think you're mistaken sir. I haven't taken anything from you. Now would you let me go, so we can resolve this like civilized peo-" Kevin was cut off by the man as his fist met the young man's face, knocking him and his recently purchased goods into the street. As this occurred, a small child ran off with a hand full of goods from the merchant's stall. Kevin's hood fell back and revealed his uncommon ears. The man went over to him and picked up the supplies Kevin just purchased and put them back onto his stall before uttering some nasty words." Go back from where you came you Freak!"

Ah, a well-deserved day off. Vivien's waist-length hair swung behind her, a curtain of shiny brown reflecting the winter sun. The streets of Noxus bustled with merchants and shoppers. A snippet of conversation fell upon her ears as she walked, spring-in-her-step, to the bakery: citizens re-living the previous day's events to one another aloud. "It's fighting for us now? The Butcher? No! 'The Culling Blade.' Hah! Even otherworldly beasts recognize Noxus' strength!"
The maid allowed herself a knowing smirk. The perspective shadowing Renekton had provided her the past week gave her a subtle air of self-importance. Her boots hit the cobblestones in purposeful rhythm. As she walked, she kept her ears pricked for any other interesting conversations. Speaking of which...
A young man backed away from an accusatory shopkeeper. Vivien raised an eyebrow. He looked young, foreign, perhaps naive to her home city's brusque character. His diffusing tone made Vivien blink. Oh, yes. Definitely a foreigner. The stall-keeper clocked his hooded patron square in the jaw, knocking the slighter man back onto the pavement. The hood slung back with the force of the blow, revealing a pair of feline ears.
Her brow quirked, the vendor's insult still ringing in the air, she strode to the foreigner's side and offered a confident slender hand. "You okay?"

Kevin rubbed his face as he hit the floor from the man's blow. His ears twitched as someone approached him, offering him a hand. He gently accepted her help. He smiled as he was assisted back to his feet. Kevin looked in to the girls eyes before realizing his hood had fallen. His face turned a bright red of embarrassment before he put his ears back to being out of view from the general populous. Only now did he answer her question of concern. "Uh yeah...i'm fine now...thanks to you.."
Kevin's stomach would then rumble as what he was planning to eat was just taken from him. He looked down and put a hand on his stomach before looking back up to her, still clearly embarrassed by the whole thing.

Vivien smirked, the dimples on her cheeks deepening. "Hungry? I know a really good noodle stall." She pulled the strap of her coinpurse over her shoulder. "You're not from here, are you? What are you visiting for?" She took off down the path confidently, expecting him to follow, the silken sheet of her hair swinging behind her. "Coming?" she called coyly over her shoulder.

Kevin stopped rubbing his face as the girl spoke to him, asking for him to go have noodles with him. "Actually i was just about to..." He looked at the stall where most of his gold coins now was, only a couple left jingling in his pocket. "Sure, i could go for some nood-"
Before he could answer all the way she turned and began to walk, still talking to him as she did. He quickly followed after her, trying to catch up to her while answering her questions. "Umm, no i'm actually from Piltover, I came to see The Butchering yesterday. How did you know i wasn't from around here?"
Kevin would continue to follow the girl as she led him through Noxus.

Her high-rise boots clicked on the cobblestones as she walked on with purpose. Hopefully he'd keep in step. "Piltover? That's neat. How is it there?" Her questions came as swiftly as her stride. She only had one day off a week: no time to waste!
"You came all the way here for the show? What'd you think?" She stopped abruptly in the middle of the street, turned to face him and asked, "You do like noodles, don't you?"

He tried to keep up as best he could, but he did end up falling behind a bit, still answering her barrage of questions that seemed to slip out as fast as she strode forward. "I mean its hard to compare to Noxus, but yeah its pretty nice."
Kevin was almost jogging at this point to try to keep up, dodging all the other people passing by him. "It was pretty decent, at least until they revealed Renekton, that was amazing! I never saw it comi-"
Noticed as she suddenly stopped, he tried to slow down as fast as he could. He stopped right in front of her, standing on his toes, flailing his arms about trying to stay balanced. Finally he would regain balance and go to a proper stance. "Er... yeah, i pretty much grew up on them. Now if you don't mind me asking, why are you in such a hurry to get there?"
Post by Vivien LeMeire on Feb 7, 2013 1:52:20 GMT -5
She leaned back when he leaned forward flailing, her almond eyes wide in surprise. When they'd both regained their balance, she laughed. "Because I'm hungry. Aren't you? And I've got to report for duty at eight tonight. Have to enjoy myself until then!"
She flashed a friendly smile, her eyes squinting into crescents. "What's your name? I almost forgot to ask."

Kevin was relieved he did not tip over on to the girl after stopping in front of her. "Oh, that makes sense as to why you'd be in a hurry. And i am hungry so.."
His feline ears would fidget as she smiled at him asking for his name. "Oh its uh...er....hmm..."
He couldn't remember his name, why couldn't he remember his name? It was something so easy to remember, yet he forgot it just as she asked him. Any other time he would have answered instantly, what made this time any different. He stood in the street making random noises before finally remembering. "Its, uh...Kevin! Kevin Droflum."

"Kevin, huh? That's cute," she said before turning on her heel and continuing down the street. She sped along her way, past stalls and pedestrians, a beggar-bard, a group of children playing don't-step-on-the-crack. "I'm Vivien."
Assuming he'd followed, she'd lead him to a little stall, Ionian art on the awning, a little yin-yang sculpture set upon the cart. "Ah, here we go!" she said, taking up her place in line. An excited crowd of customers surrounded the noodle-vendor; delicious smells of vegetables, meats, tangy brown sauce and fried noodles floated out over the street.

"C-cute?" That was all he was able to let out before she went off back down the street. He continued to follow her, avoiding the stalls and children playing, his height not really helping him do so. "Hey! Wait up!"
Kevin finally caught up to her, he bent over, trying to somewhat catch his breathe. As he did, he took in the smell of the nearby cart. He rose up and stood next to Vivien. "So this is the place huh? Smells good."
His hood had fallen while he was running after her, though he didn't seem to notice as his ears flicked around in the open air, he smiled as looked as the line slowly got shorter and shorter, thinking on what he would order. He decided that what she would get is what he would, she seemed to be familiar with the place after all. "What are you planning on getting, Vivien?"

"Hmm." She rolled back on her heels, hands clasped behind her. "Spicy mushroom pan-fried noodles. They're delicious." The woman tilted her head, her almond eyes studying her sudden companion. Piltover. She wondered briefly what it was like in the Shining City, and whether the man's feline ears were a foreign fashion statement of sorts. "What's with the ears?" she asked abruptly, taking stride forward as the line shortened.

He had never had ramen with so much in it, but there is always room for trying new things. "That sounds pretty good, i think i'll have it to."
As she mentioned his ears, his hand bolted to the back of his head to discover his hood had been down for quite some time. His face turned a bit red as she asked. "They're....uh...its because....well you see..."
He let out a large breathe before speaking again. "Its a long story..."
Post by Vivien LeMeire on Feb 10, 2013 2:45:58 GMT -5
The girl shrugged, tossed her glossy hair behind her shoulder. "It's a long line!" she smiled, gesturing to the several noodle-enthusiasts that still stood between them and the stall. "Sooo...?"
She crossed her arms over her chest expectantly, turned to face him, her dimples deepening as her grin widened. The noodle vendor delivered another plate to a customer. Vivien took a sidestep to move forward in line, her brown eyes still staring up at her newfound companion, alight with curiosity.

Kevin scratched his head before taking a step forward as the line moved along. He didn't see any harm in telling her, nor anyone else for that matter.
"Well, first thing you should know is, I can copy any spell that i witness and am then able to cast it back flawless...Most of the time. So as a way to show off, i'd constantly get in to duels with pretty strong mages, wizards, even a couple summoners of the league!"
He turned his head as he began to explain the last part of his story, his face lighting up a bit red.
"After awhile...I got in to a duel with who i assumed to be just another everyday guy...Which he was....Sort of. I beat him just as easily as i did most others, but...he wasn't such a good sport about it. As i turned my back to him, he launched a spell at me, turning my into a full blown cat. Luckily I turned my head quick enough to glance at the spell coming at me. After he had his laughs and left, i reused the spell on myself and turned almost completely back to normal...almost of course being now i'm stuck with these things..."
Kevin would move them around to express his point.
