Greetings once again, Maelstrom folks. Yes, another PSA. This one is to address some concerns regarding the nature of our RP and the individual's role in it. You will notice a lot of scenic "mini-threads" such as this one popping up over the next few days. These are designed to encourage you to develop your own adventures in various places of interest throughout Valoran. If needbe, I will support these adventures with exposition and minor NPCs on the Dungeon Master account, but for the most part, the direction they take is in your hands. These are free and open for anyone to use, but please take into consideration the following points:
2. Not every interaction your character has should be epic. Not every thread needs to have a pivotal impact on the global plot. Leave room for your characters' daily lives: show them eating, drinking, sleeping, working, enjoying time with friends and colleagues. I'd like to give a shout-out here to our Yordle players, who have been awesome about this. Throwing welcome-home parties and playing air-hockey has never been more compelling. <3 Personal development in the day-to-day is perhaps more important than your characters' "defining moments" because it forms the foundation for these to be truly epic.
3. Consider the confines of time and space. Account for travel time, current events and your IC knowledge when determining which threads to participate in. Remember that your character need not be present for you to read and enjoy user content. In fact, let pivotal events inspire you to create your own threads, which can be tailored more specifically to suit your characters.

Thanks for your time. Now go develop your heroes and villains. Making our RP meaningful and worthwhile starts with you.
