Hello, Maelstrom! Thanks for your patience as we work towards being the best we can be. As I understand it, your goals align with ours: both Admins and users want our forum to be as awesome as possible. The road to greatness starts with you, with your dignified, careful, informed and sensible fulfillment of your roles. All I ask is that each of you RP your characters to the best of your abilities. If you put your best efforts into that, the larger story shapes itself.
I've drafted some questions to encourage the further development of your characters. These are starters--things to get you thinking. By no means should answering them be the end of your character exploration.
[/u][/i] your character?
2. Why might other characters dislike your character?
3. Why do you like playing your character?
4. What area of your character's RP do you struggle with?
5. What weaknesses have you given your character to counter-balance his/her strength?
6. What is the one defining strength of your character? [/ul]
I'm going to ask for everyone to fill this out for each of their characters, champion and OC alike. Some concerns have been brought to me over the validity of certain characters/portrayals, so I want to make sure we're all on the same page. Consider that, although possessed of inhuman strength and/or supernatural magics, your characters are far from perfect. In fact, a well-rounded, compelling character arguably has more flaws than assets. Even the spirits, elementals and demigods among us are "human" from a literary standpoint--meaning we all are susceptible to weakness in some form. Every character on Maelstrom will be well-rounded and well-thought-out--or they will not enjoy a place in our canon.
If you would not like to submit your answers publicly, you may deliver them to me in a PM. Take your time; think on it, but please do take the time to do this.
I'll go first:
Swain
[/u][/i] your character?
Though "like" may be a stretch, those around the Grand General may admire him for his cunning, his dignity, his commanding presence. He is a formidable foe, called "The Master Tactician" for good reason: he is ambitious, eloquent, analytical and nearly always achieves his ends--no matter the means.
2. Why might other characters dislike your character?
Swain undeniably has sociopathic tendencies. His "any-means-to-achieve-an-end" philosophy is sure to be offputting to some. The reputation of his city-state certainly may play a part in the interpretation of his aloofness, cause some to feel uneasy in his calculating gaze. (And of course there's more under the table. Isn't there always? Watch closely.)
3. Why do you like playing your character?
I'll readily admit to a morbid fascination with the darker side of human consciousness. Swain's eloquence and wit make me hold myself to high standards of communication. I also greatly enjoy navigating the political arena.
4. What area of your character's RP do you struggle with?
There are two issues I sometimes struggle with. The first is maintaining balance between angst and power. Swain deals with a lot of inner and outer conflict, but his mask of poise must never falter. I sometimes wonder if I'm RPing too much of his troubled side and not enough of his authoritative side--and vice versa.
The other issue I encounter has more to do with the nature of my character than anything. Swain is an extremely guarded man. I can count on one-and-a-half fingers how many people he would even think about letting his guard down around. As such, it's sometimes difficult to portray character development--though I expect that, as our forum progresses and IC relationships develop, this will gradually get easier of its own accord.
5. What weaknesses have you given your character to counter-balance his/her strength?
Pride, narcissism, delusions of grandeur. The immense pressure of playing host to his demon(s.) His failing health. His guardedness/suspicious nature. His lack of empathy.
6. What is the one defining strength of your character?
Swain's biggest asset is his intelligence, no contest. His magical/demon-granted abilities are powerful, but it's his tactical mind that keeps him in the game. [/ul]

1.Why might others like your character?
Ziggs carries a very positive and jovial personality most of the time. He enjoys making himself useful in any way he can and is typically warm and friendly to others who show him kindness. He's eager to involve others in things he finds interesting and share his experiences, making him a good friend and a tolerable associate.
2. Why might others dislike your character?
He's a yordle, and a very hyperactive one. Some might find his obsessive personality to be annoying. He also has a tendency to destroy things without intention due to being impatient and reckless. While he's positive most of the time, he also has the potential to be a defeatist, a masochist and suffers from extreme supressed self-esteem issues that come from his past failures, which may grind on the nerves of others once manifest. He also has a habit of poking his nose into the business of other scientists, and nobody wants him wandering around their laboratory unattended for obvious reasons.
3. why do you like playing the character?
I feel Ziggs has a fun personality with a lot of room for subtle depth and development. On the outside he's a joker who wears a smile to cover up his true feelings. On the inside he's probably lonely and bothered by his inability to create hextech machinery. His passion for explosives makes for a fun set of abilities to play with, allowing him to transition from comedy relief to a strong competitor at the blink of an eye. I feel this role is quite versatile because of this.
4. what area of your character's RP do you struggle with?
The biggest difficulty for me is admittedly combat scenarios. Because most of his abilities all boil down to the use of hexplosives and throwing bombs, it often makes me feel inferior to other true magic casters and as a result I tend to avoid combat or play his abilities off as being weaker than they probably are. It's also often difficult to make combat scenarios with Ziggs interesting without creating new bombs that he wouldn't otherwise use on the fields, which feels a bit like cheating sometimes. You can't very well play his skills out as being too powerful either, because simply throwing a bomb and blowing everyone up becomes the answer to everything (he has no other alternatives!)
5. what weaknesses have you given your character to counter-balance his strength?
Ziggs is strong for a yordle, but undisciplined with physical combat, and very reliant on mana due to the way hexplosives work. Without Mana, and without a summoner to give him constant mana regen, he's a lot more reliant on it than when he's on the fields, forcing him to carefully conserve his precious mana-fuelled bombs or use real explosives which have the risk of harming him at close range. He also has a defeatist attitude when faced with conflict and is prone to surrender under pressure.
6. What is the one defining strength of your character?
His resourcefulness. While he has a naturally strong magical constitution, he is unable to project magic, which is why he relies on hexplosives. Being a yordle, Ziggs has a strong awareness of his environment and is capable of utilising his own strengths in creative ways to overcome problems. He can analyze a situation and quickly come up with several solutions to a problem. While he isn't as directly intelligent as someone like Heimerdinger, his hexplosives are more of an extension to his body than most scientists's tools, and so he has a greater control and unity with his abilities.

I guess I will take up the challenge and quickly write one up for my OC, Jaques. Viktor will come later....
1. Why might other characters like your character?
Jaques is a bit of an unconventional ghoul hailing from the Shadow Isles. While most other Shadow Islanders are depicted as more somber or even pragmatic, Jaques is an uncharacteristically chipper specter who is always smiling and doesn't seem to be all business. He's full of energy and clearly enjoys what he does best (killing, clearly), which likely earns him bonus points with others like him.
2. Why might other characters dislike your character?
Jaques is an unrepentant killer. He murders innocents with seeming impunity, not caring who they are or where they are from. He is somewhat theatrical, even toying with his targets, and far too melodramatic. He can be rather chatty and insolent, disrespectful and nonchalant to even the most highest ranking members of society. His killing intent is his justification for his own presence in Runeterra, and that alone can rub most the wrong way.
3. Why do you like playing your character?
He's different. While most other "undead" in Runeterra are either patriotic (Hecarim, Thresh) or even manipulative (Elise, Thresh again), Jaques is just a ghoul that wants to take life with his own hands. He's frivolous and gleeful, with no consideration for authority or morality. He's a phantom who does what he does because it's what he's good at, and he works towards his goals irregardless of the obstacles that may be placed in his path. I enjoy playing characters who are either creative and/or independent, and especially if they can do things I wouldn't do in reality.
4. What area of your character's RP do you struggle with?
I want nothing more than reveal the ENTIRETY of Jaques' story all at once for everyone to see, but I don't believe that would make for an interesting character on its own. Mostly I struggle with determining how much of Jaque's previous life to give insight to at any given time, while fearing revealing more than I should. I also have trouble discerning when and where he SHOULD be active, as opposed to just having him everywhere without a care to reason.
5. What weaknesses have you given your character to counter-balance his/her strength?
Jaques may be an undead specter seeking to kill everyone and everything, but I've (with help) built him as a bit a wild card that can be overcome under various conditions. All of his abilities possess flaws that can be used against him, and his presence is completely dependent on his primary weapon, the destruction of which can put an end to his activity for quite some time. Jaques is only as powerful as his knife allows him to be, and without it he's just another spirit that can't go very far on its own.
6. What is the one defining strength of your character?
The one thing that Jaques has going for him is his sheer drive to kill. Its his entire reason for being, as well as the only skill he possesses. He defines himself by this capability, and refuses to be stopped once he's set his sights on his quarry. His determination is quite amazing, as he has even transcended death to finish what he set out to do in his lifetiime in his newly granted Unlife.

1. Why might other characters like your character? Riven is the underdog in many ways. The fact that she is trying to better herself, her people, and the land is a strong draw to her. She is perhaps the only Noxian champion to feel guilt or remorse canonically for their actions during Ionia. In addition, she also projects a loneliness and a vulnerability that draws others to her as a person and a character. He is far from perfect, and is haunted by her past, and her own mistakes. As such, she is something of a representation of everyone who has ever had to live with a past regret, and a symbol of how we can be strong, pick ourselves up, and try to atone for what we have done. Riven is, once again, the only Noxian to show any remorse for what happened in Ionia, on both sides of the fence. She is strong in her resolution, and incredibly determined to follow through her goals to the end. She will not ask others to do anything she would not be willing to do herself, and this, I think, makes people want to be near her. For all her imperfections, she exudes and aura of strength, both physically and emotionally, few can match.
2. Why might other characters dislike your character? Despite being strong and resolute in her goals, Riven is plagued by guilt and doubt. She acts because she must, because there is no other way she can redeem herself, either in her eyes or the eyes of those that died because of her actions. The guilt that haunts her also causes people to become angry and upset with her. Even if they can forgive her, she cannot forgive herself, and that may drive some others away in frustration. She is also incredibly guarded, keeping her innermost worries secret from everyone around her, and generally trusts no one to share her worries with. Anything she shares with a person is surface level, and rarely deeper than that.
3. Why do you like playing your character? I like playing Riven because she represents aspects of my own personal character that can't truly manifest themselves. People have told me they love my portrayal, and are amazed that I can get so "into" Riven. Honestly, because of who and what she is, it isn't hard for me. I live with my own set of regrets that I'll never be able to forgive myself for, and they weigh heavily on me every day. Those regrets push me to try and better myself so that I'll never make the same mistake again, even if I want to try and find some manner of atonement for them at the same time. Riven provides me a character that I can truly empathize and connect with on a personal level. Her internal and external struggles are infinitely deep and complex, and I love exploring every inch of them. I honestly can't imagine myself ever growing tired of portraying Riven in some aspect. She truly is a character I enjoy, and no other character in League of Legends calls to me as she does from a writing standpoint.
4. What area of your character's RP do you struggle with? This is likely a lousy thing to say here, but as far as RPing Riven, I don't really struggle with any aspects of her character. I understand and "get" almost all of her quirks and flaws. The only thing I may have an issue with, according to others, is commanding her in a battle situation in RP. I have had more people compliment me on my portrayal of her in combat than those that have denounced me, but if I had to pick anything that I think would be an area in which I struggle, it would be in combat. This is due to my style, in which, unless the battle is semi-scripted, I use Riven's experience and abilities to make her dodge and avoid many attacks made against her. The problem arises, however, when I avoid too many strikes, regardless of my ability to see ways out of them. I could make arguments to defend my logic for these situations, but this is not the place. If I do have a weakness in RPing Riven, battle is the only place in which I've honestly been called out on having a fault, and that is why I've tried to avoid direct confrontation with her, to avoid placing myself or others in that situation.
5. What weaknesses have you given your character to counter-balance his/her strength? Riven's character flaws are all built into her by Riot. I simply pick up on them. The very things that make Riven strong are the things that prove to be her weaknesses. Because she is so determined to accomplish her goals, she will take great risks to do so, even at the risk of bodily harm or death. This extends into her expanded combat abilities for use off the fields. Theoretically Riven has no limit to her power and willpower when her blade is reforged, however, her body does. Riven will literally rip herself to shreds if she pushes herself too hard, and possibly kill herself. This self-destructive outlook on accomplishing the insurmountable goals she has set for herself is her greatest strength, but also her greatest weakness. To her, her life is expendable and forfeit. The only thing that matters to her are her goals and her ideals, and she would sooner die than see them tarnished. Riven also has the typical hero's weakness. Due to the psychological trauma of Coeur on her mind, she will attempt to sacrifice herself in the stead of others to keep them alive, as she cannot allow more blood to be spilled due to her hands or actions.
6. What is the one defining strength of your character? Riven's boundless determination. That determination is what keeps her going, in spite of everything she has lost or gained. Her ability to push ahead, and keep moving forward, no matter the cost to herself, is easily her greatest and most defining strength.

1. Why might other characters like your character?
Heh.
2. Why might other characters dislike your character?
Brand is an executioner, sent to destory a world that insists on tear holes in the universe, and kidnapping people from other dimensions.
Of course, While he sees it as keeping the universe safe, the people of Runeterra don't really appreciate being wiped out.
3. Why do you like playing your character?
Because
I'm "That guy".
Nobody likes Brand; he's a self righteous jerk who wants to destroy the world. He doesn't even want to take it over, like the Shadow Islanders, or consume it, like the void.
He's just gonna burn it to a crisp, and let evolution take over.
And sometimes, it's fun to be "The jerk"
4. What area of your character's RP do you struggle with?
Finding a place to use him.
Seeing as he wants to destroy the world, it's not like there's anybody here who wants to help.
That means nobody to talk to, and THAT means no roleplaying to be done.
5. What weaknesses have you given your character to counter-balance his/her strength?
If he uses too much firepower at much, the human body he is in won't be able to take the stress; and if it dies while his consciousness is in it, that's it for him. He's dead for good.
Considering that he's supposed to be a "World slayer", he needs to have enough power to destroy planets, but still be vulnerable to the attacks of somebody like Caitlyn, or Darius.
Hence the body snatcher mechanic.
Of course, god only knows what will happen if he ends up in a body powerful enough to contain his full power for example, a high councilor...
6. What is the one defining strength of your character?
His single minded drive to do his job.
Ending worlds is a hard job; but somebody has to do it, and somebody who destroys worlds doesn't give up easy, to say the least.

1. Why might other characters like your character?
Talon's ability to be both fiercely loyal and extremely efficient at what tasks he sets out for himself both strike me as admirable character traits. Though his loyalty is extremely difficult to actually nail down to any one person, it still exists and is one of the few things that I could see as being an utterly positive thing in his personality, though corruptible. His choice to live life under his own power and by his own hands is likely a large selling point that drives some to admire him, though he is oblivious to it.
2. Why might other characters dislike your character?
Talon will kill at the drop of a hat, without a single regret, if his goal requires it. While he will not kill without reason, he still considers a problem dead to be a problem circumvented and this lends him an air not unlike that of the other heartless killers in the League, as untrue as it might be. While some would also view his self-motivation to be a positive trait, it is very likely others would view it as a point of conceit and as a lack of thought for the feelings of others.
3. Why do you like playing your character?
In past I've very typically portrayed very thoughtful, open characters that, while perhaps being significantly introverted, think for others and are considered 'nice' or 'good'. Talon, while not being overtly evil or particularly wrong within the moral system he was raised in, is firmly stuck in the moral grey area of the world at large. While I personally disagree with Talon's outlook on killing, I'm more than willing to distance myself from the character and quite enjoy the process of thinking beyond my own predetermined response. It's a useful exercise in expanding my horizons as a writer/role player
And have you seen that dead-pan stare? Who wouldn't want to be behind that?
4. What area of your character's RP do you struggle with?
Understanding and interpreting exactly how others would view him and his place in the world as a whole. I'm far too locked in the mindset of how little he cares for the world's political opinion of his actions and choices to properly consider the ramifications of his actions in a concrete sense. I also believe I don't quite make him kill-y enough, but I don't feel he truly wants to kill anyone who irritates him.
5. What weaknesses have you given your character to counter-balance his/her strength?
Talon is completely incapable of properly understanding and expressing emotions. He's never had time or desire to show his feelings and as he doesn't show them he very poorly understands them as well. While he is very capable in the physical aspect of his work, his humanity is a tarnished, rusted trinket hidden deep within his mind that he does not actively wish to reawaken properly, especially because he does not see it as a necessity for his work.
6. What is the one defining strength of your character?
When set upon a goal, he will pursue it endlessly until it has been accomplished to his own degree of satisfaction. While his desires and goals tend not to align with many other people, he is singularly motivated to the completion of them.
1. What might other characters like about your character?
Ha! Oh, wait, seriously? Hrm...not much, really. Even Thresh's fellow Shadow Islanders may have difficulty liking the fact that he exists. If there were to be one factor that some might enjoy would be Thresh's 'good-natured' sense of humor and comparatively relaxed nature. Few can create agony and suffering as delightful as Thresh can, for characters that are into that sort of thing. For those who might require such skills, practically nobody can so much as hope to keep their secrets safe from Thresh's wicked caress.
2. Why might other characters dislike your character?
Where to begin on this one...? Thresh's ferocious taste for causing torment and agony will almost assuredly not sit well with anybody outside of the Shadow Isles or the Void, nor will his entirely unrepentant nature concerning his centuries of inflicting misery upon the defenseless. Any who claim to be believers in ethics would likely find themselves loathing Thresh with all their hearts, particularly when his nonchalant manner meshes with his love of pain and sorrow.
3. Why do you like playing your character?
Thresh rather embodies a kind of character archetype that I've long been looking for, the type of character that seems to almost literally have stepped out from between the covers of a dark fairy tale. There's also something charming about the addition of a character who toes the line between all of the Evil alignments, while simultaneously coming across as almost easy-going while carrying out his unspeakable deeds upon the living.
4. What area of your character's RP do you struggle with?
One aspect of Thresh that would likely lead to trouble with the concepts of this forum is that Thresh is hardly a front-line battler, instead appearing to work behind the scenes. Since it doesn't seem like many other champions would reflect this same sort of mentality, Thresh's involvement throughout major occurrences may involve a fair amount of OC-craft and little interaction with champions outside of the Shadow Isles. That's at present, at least.
5. What weaknesses have you given your character to counter-balance his strength?
As mentioned above, Thresh is hardly the kind to saunter about the front lines of a battleground, though against non-champions he would likely be exceptionally effective from a morale-shattering standpoint. Thresh also has a clear preference for engaging those who have no means of fighting back or protecting themselves from his gristly intentions, having spent centuries doing so. That being the case, he would likely be immensely less effective in areas where comrades such as Hecarim or Mordekaiser would shine brilliantly.
6. What is the one defining strength of your character?
While Thresh's mastery of inflicting pain and suffering upon others is a great asset, perhaps his most powerful tool is the mysterious lantern that accompanies him everywhere he goes. While its origin and fullest properties are still unknown by most, its ability to efficiently harvest the souls of the fallen and turn them against their once-allies in the name of the Shadow Isles is certainly a fearsome ability.

1. Why might other characters like your character?
He's Jovial and friendly, although quiet at times. He happens to tend to see the good in people, which leads to even more people liking him. He also tends to treat just about everyone, regardless of who they are, so long as the person being treated doesn't intend to kill him afterwards. Perhaps most liked is his refusal to quit on a friend, ally, or even a neutral companion; his desire to keep everyone he meets that doesn't want to kill him alive is almost overwhelming.
2. Why might other characters dislike your character?
He will often refuse to back down from a challenge, and if he sees something that is against his values he will object, albeit in a ncie way at first. If he feels provoked, he can easily begin to become much more forceful with his manner and actions, however. That, and his fired idealism in the values he believes (the equivalent of those laid out in the US Constitution) can cause some people to think he's almost fanatical. He also happens to have a tendency to lose his mind when he uses his Medigun, much to the possible annoyance to whoever is being healed by it.
3. Why do you like playing your character?
He is, essentially, the embodiment of three different generations of my family; grandfather, father, and me. Having my grandfather's wartime experience, my father's medical research, and my own engineering mind, combined all into one person living in a fantasy world makes a fascinating experience on my side, and hopefully for those who interact with him as well.
4. What area of your character's RP do you struggle with?
Areas in which he can interact; he is a Medic, but being one only gets you so far beyond that. Having necessary services is usually the only way he can be brought into a certain RP, and even then once his job is done, he has little beyond asking rather trivial questions as a reason to stay.
5. What weaknesses have you given your character to counter-balance his/her strength?
While he is versatile, he is not the master of any. He can fight, but a pure fighter will beat him; even with him firing his automatic rifle with the Options chipping in, he's rather inaccurate with his fire, and can be exploited. He can heal, but others will outperform him (the medigun is a possible exception, but is more of a power giver than a heal). He can think and act civilly, but not as well as the savvy politicians, and he has the amusing weakness of being rather weak-willed around women, from which arises his incredible shyness around such people.
6. What is the one defining strength of your character?
His healing capabilities. His Options, which are awesome weapons of their own right, are best at sustaining his patients, and his medigun provides buffs of potentially unimaginable scale in power. These, combined with his trusty medical satchel, makes him arguably one of the best healers out there.
1. Why might other characters like your character?
Carmilla is some what of a tortured soul. She witnessed her brother be murdered right before her eyes at age 15, and he mind was broken afterwards.. but not completely. Shards of it still remain, and with a lot of work, could possibly be put back together again.
2. Why might other characters dislike your character? Carmilla is a killer, she has no remorse for what she does. She feels no sadness towards the people whom she takes out of the world, nor for their loved ones. This is really all apart of her mental brokenness
3. Why do you like playing your character?
I've always wanted to know how it would feel to be inside the mind of a mentally broken killer.. like the mind of Hannibal Lector, or others.. and it is just interesting to progress this character through hemomancer training, and seeing what all she can accomplish with that, also, seeing if someone can come a long and maybe rebuild her mind somewhat.
4. What area of your character's RP do you struggle with?
Fleshing her out, she was created to have no emotions. No sadness, love, anger, joy.. so the hardest part is trying to make her feel "human" as well as staying inside of those boundaries.
5. What weaknesses have you given your character to counter-balance his/her strength?
She's very young, and as of yet, only has her wits to defend herself with. She is currently being taught hemomancing by Vladimir, and until then, will really have no physical way of defending herself if she gets into trouble. Also, she's pretty arrogant, and she's fearless, she will stare death in the face and accept it if she cannot surpass it.
6. What is the one defining strength of your character?
Remarkable bravery, though I suppose someone who has no emotions would be that way anyways
1. Why might other characters like your character? LoL but really Fiddlesticks (as I am RPing him) is calculative and death set on his goals. Plus he is really powerful so if the summoner can get hold of him again he would be a valuable tool.
2. Why might other characters dislike your character? He is an OP world destroyer that uses fear and flesh eating crow as a weapon.
3. Why do you like playing your character? Who doesn’t like RPing the monster? He is like Godzilla if he appears shit hits the fan.
4. What area of your character's RP do you struggle with? Motives we don’t know anything about him other that he is powerful scary and waiting for something.
5. What weaknesses have you given your character to counter-balance his/her strength? 2 one is that he need to be in one place filled with misery to use his spells be it a battlefield or a corrupted town. And the other is light all his powers are derivate of either darkness or fear and a powerful light weakens his magic.
6. What is the one defining strength of your character? Power over fear, every mind has a fear “circuit” and he can active it at will. What good is all the power in the universe if you are too afraid to use it?

((Now as Singed)) 1. Why might other characters like your character? …you got me. Nah he is intelligent he can understand the science of psychology, knowing how emotions and desires influence other people's actions. 2. Why might other characters dislike your character? He is an unrepentant mass murderer and manipulative person who will use any window of opportunity to use you for his benefit. Ruthless doesn't begin to describe him: except for when trying to appear normal, he is Above Good and Evil and will disregard any social norms, rules and morality in pursuit of science. 3. Why do you like playing your character? A sociopath is a fascinating thing to RP he is ruthless and has only one true objective the advancement of science and even his own life comes secondary towards that. On the other side of the coin he is a polite individual that seems more interested on making profit and securing his power.
4. What area of your character's RP do you struggle with? Do I RP him correctly? More often than not I struggle to show his “special” brand of madness he is not irrational and not really sadistic but enjoys more than anything else watching his work even if that means the deaths of thousands. He enjoys watching others failing to stop him but only because he bested them I have given him Nietzsche type of mentality was he has a totally different morality that everyone else, but it doesn’t mean that he has not a morality and that is difficult to RP. 5. What weaknesses have you given your character to counter-balance his/her strength? To counter his intelligence and how manipulative he can be I make him easily swayed by his emotions. On battle he prefers to shoot from a far distance but he is not a marksman and will sometimes fail even with area of effect toxins. On hand to hand combat he is strong but unskilled meaning that a less strong but experience warrior can best him. But be careful if he has seen a movement many times he has probably prepared a counter to it.
6. What is the one defining strength of your character? Ruthlessness and tenacity, even if he fails the first 400 times he will find a way to achieve his objective no matter how ugly that method is.
1. Why might other characters like your character?
Some would like Titus' command and tactical style. He always knows what is best for the Yordle Navy and will be pushing for anything to make sure that Bandle City has a powerful navy. Unlike pirate fleets and ships, Titus make sure to have a chain-in-command. The most powerful of ships, whether its origins come from Demacia or Noxus, would be flabbergasted to see precise coordination from the otherwise "sea-infecting barbarians".
But more people would like Titus because he is shyly creative, especially showing off his cosmic powers (not in combat). Many yordles are energetic in their own special way but Titus is the cutish, shy-like yordle that has the moralistic and creative touch. Titus' personal friends would find out that he's not the fierce commander as he publicly show. More people would be impressed to find out Titus' inner cosmic power.
2. Why might other characters dislike your character?
If there is some trait or action that characters would hate Titus for would come from his campaigns and his own origin. He was charged with serial murder and his sentence was actually service in the Navy. Some wanted Titus to be executed for his crimes, no matter how justified his acitons are.
His recent campaigns have been costly and newspapers even went to the point calling Titus' wars a series of "Pyrrhic victories". The lives of sailors lost wound families deeply and now he's branded as a "murderer". Titus retains a considerable amount of popularity but now the people are slowly losing the respect for Titus. Pragmatic people are asking for Titus to take leave from the Navy while a few want him fired.
3. Why do you like playing your character?
I personally like two things: military strategy and astronomy. I want to know how it feels like commanding several units, ranging from a few men to a massive army or fleet. Also, it's very interesting to see how the cosmos work and in many cases, it's destructive but yet beautiful. And so I created my character as a combination of what I liked. I originally though to make him human but I thought yordles are cute and I went for something cuter.
4. What area of your character's RP do you struggle with?
I'm starting it with his personality, both from the official forums and this one. As I continued roleplaying as the little cosmic admrial, I found out how crazy situations can be and I didn't like it at times. This forum is supposed to help with Titus into making him more into a more controllable character than Yoshi from the official forums. But even I find it hard to town down his bombastic attitude. So far with Rin's Hanger, I'm going to do that and hopefully make Titus a better yordle than he was at the forums. People and even I hate him for his craziness.
The second thing I had to struggle is the concept of combat. I can't make him overpowered but at the same time, Titus is very powerful. I had to make sure to keep him really great and at the same time, restrict him. I'm not willing to underpower any of my characters and certainly not Titus. So I'm finding ways to make sure that Titus, if he does go to combat, is not some "godlike" yordle, rather a skilled warrior.
5. What weaknesses have you given your character to counter-balance his/her strength?
HE HAS NO WEAKNESSES!
Cosmic powers require a deadly amount of energy and cosmic mages like Titus has to be conservative about the energy output to make cosmic attacks such as manipulating gravity. This is his limit and Titus couldn't use everything he has, unless he's very suicidal about it.
6. What is the one defining strength of your character?
His cosmic powers are unmatched and creative. I can make the battlefield beautiful and yet deadly when opponents would see spinning galaxies and falling stars crashing upon them. But Titus' cosmic powers go beyond that. Titus is skilled and powerful in the cosmic arts to the point where he can match even the most powerful mages in Valoran.
But Titus has to keep in mind that in case his cosmic powers become unreliable, he can't be leaving vulnerable, so he trains himself in swordfighting and became good at it. He's skilled in the art of the sword but when it comes to fair duels, he's nowhere near to great swordsmen like Yi and Fiora.
5. What weaknesses have you given your character to counter-balance his/her strength?
Titus is naturally powerful in the art of the cosmos and though astronomy and physics, he has found ways to manipulate it and use it through deadly means. But if there is one weakness Titus has, it would be his strength. Ironic to see that but there are some cosmic conjurations Titus cannot use because it can corrupt or destroy himself. That's why he's sometimes forced to resort to basic spells or classic swordfights.

I have a feeling we're going to need to talk about the nature of your cosmic powers and the lack of vulnerability in your character sometime soon.

1. Why might other characters like your character?
While Hecarim is a undead centaur bent on making the living see the power of his homeland, i believe his fellow shadow isles champions could respect him for wanting to show the strength of their home. Other champions however, not so much.
2. Why might other characters dislike your character?
Well for starters, he's a pony. No one likes ponies. (kidding aside) I think a large majority of champions have a hatred for Hecarim, Demacians hate him because his first victims were Demacian, Noxians hate him because the isles is strong and not on their side, Ionia hates him for wanting to upset Valorans balance, you see where i'm going with this. Hecarim is hated by others because he brings nothing positive to this world, he wants to conquer and destroy.
3. Why do you like playing your character?
I enjoy Hecarim portraying Hecarim for two reasons, one is because he's my favorite champion to play in the game. He fit's my playstyle of being mobile, tanky, and contributes to his team despite being shut down. He's my #1 champion (And when i become the next admiral oddone i'll be sure to remember all of you.) And second, because he's so mysterious (chicks dig centaurs) and powerful, he represents a place of death itself. He doesn't rest, he only wants the world to kneel to the power of his home, and then join it.
4. What area of your character's RP do you struggle with?
In general, it's adding vivid detail to what he's doing (although thats because my writing skills aren't the best) That and the fact of "this characters wants to show the world his strength, but if i show up in a city and do just that, i'll probably get caught/die. It's difficult to judge when it's appropriate to enter some place of importance also, since in the majority of these RP's champions and OC's are working together to eliminate a common threat, but i too am a common threat. What happens when everyone rallys against the shadow isles and destroy it? How would the isles as a whole react?
5. What weaknesses have you given your character to counter-balance his/her strength? I try to "balance" him around the in-game rules, he's durable, not invincible. If he becomes focused he'll go down, but not without a fight.
If he's somehow disarmed he'll have to rely on his power of summoning ghost riders, and thats not going to help him very much.
Keeping him in one place keeps him from moving, but you still have to watch out for his halberd. 6. What is the one defining strength of your character?
The ability to heal from the living dying around him, he charges into you and lets out this aura of death that drains your life force as you try to fight him. It makes him stand out from the other Shadow isles champions in my opinion.
