Smithy: Poppy is present and the smithy is open for business. Date: 17th of February, 23 CLE.
Blomgrun's old smithy still stands in it's place in Bandle City, a lasting reminder of the smith's skills and his dramatic end. The smithy consists of the large forge room, filled with all the tools you could imagine for a blacksmith to use, and the living quarters, consisting of only a living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.
The forge room has more than just smith's tools, and it seems that either Blomgrun taught her, or Poppy took up creating the finishing touches on the creations they made, since one of the shelves in the room has both painting supplies and brushes and carving tools. The large forge itself dominates the view when one enters the forge room, large enough to heat up the whole room to temperatures that beat summer's warmest days. Near the forge is a large trough of water for cooling metal and an anvil for shaping it. A large pair of industrial tongs lie against the anvil, used for handling the glowing hot metal while shaping it.
The living quarters are very simple, only having the necessities. The living room has just a pair of couches and one lounge chair around a table in case visitors came around. The kitchen has a few cupboards and closets and a stove. The bedrooms... one still exactly like it was left years ago before the final trip that brought Blomgrun to his early demise, and one looking surprisingly... feminine, considering who it belonged to. It didn't look like the usual yordle child's room and had some smith's equipment in it, but it was quite far from how most would think of Poppy. A pair of stuffed bears on the bed and warm colors in the room. Those who would see this room, would find out that Poppy was not the serious warrior type before her traumatic experience on the road to Demacia.
13th of February, 23 CLE
After the party month ago for Poppy's return, the Ambassador had returned to Demacia for a few weeks, but something drove her back home. A memory... a reminder. Blomgrun's death had left a fair few old commissions unfinished, and those who commissioned these items had now waited for them for nearly five years.
Deciding to finally finish these commissions, Poppy had requested and been granted some time off from the Embassy, trusting her work to the employees of the Embassy for the time she was gone. She knew them to be more than qualified to fill her place... for now.
She enters the forge room and looks around. What a mess... even though the yordles had cleaned up the smithy before the party a month ago, a thick layer of coal dust still clung to the room's furniture, requiring a lot of work to remove. She takes up a box of matches, marked Ionian on the top, and quickly lights up the forge. It would take a while for the coals to be hot enough for smithing, and so she heads to her old bedroom and opens up her wardrobe.
Inside, the outfit that catches her eye and what she was looking for is an old, ragged blacksmith's outfit. She takes off her armor and quickly changes into the smithing outfit, padded and flame-proofed. She then returns to the forge room, Whomper in hand and ready to get to work again... for the first time in years, Blomgrun's smithy, is open for commissions.
((Here we go... this is a place where Poppy will be at sometimes. I'll edit to the top of this first post whether Poppy is present or not depending on how things change, and when she's around will also edit the date for the timeline so the admins have an easier job with this ^^ ))
Titus walks to the doorstep of the Smithy hoping that Poppy can forge another sword for him, specifically a gladius since he loves to swing and stab. Titus is in his usual happy moods but the fiasco that unfolded last Tuesday has Titus grumbling about it for the days after that little prank.
But his late mentor told him that no plan is fullproof. And sadly he's right. He could remember just three weeks ago on a pinata party, Titus thought he could break open a pinata with one swing. Instead, it took several swings plus one admiral going overboard before the yordle sailors reel him back to the deck. And now he lost a sword to a simple fun prank against Admiral Spassy. Boy, could things go hilariously worse?
He knocks on the door two times before waiting for anyone to answer. Titus thought that Poppy wouldn't be there so he yells out.
"Hey Poppy! It's me, Titus! I just wanna know if you're in there!"

The forge's heat and the sound of the flames in it could be heard outside on the door, but no answer would come to the door. It would be clear that Poppy is home, but she did not seem to hear the yell... for a reason.
Inside, the flames of the forge burn brightly and loudly, smothering other sounds beneath their sound. However, this was not why Poppy did not hear the yell. If one was to enter the forge room, they'd find Poppy in her blacksmith's outfit, Whomper leaning against an anvil and her sitting on the anvil. Her gaze was pointed at the flames, and her thoughts seemed to have wandered.
Returning home always did remind her of her past. Her thoughts wandered back to her childhood, to the days when there were no worries. She could just sit at home... in the heat of the forge... smithing with her father. So much easier... more relaxed... more happy...
No answer. And Titus is puzzled. He picks up the sound of the flames crackling loudly but it looks like Poppy isn't home. His hand rests on the door when it creaks open just slightly. Seeing the door unlocked, he enters in and scouts out the living room and the kitchen. Titus can detect the burning sound of fire from the forge as well as the smell of charcoal.
He peeks through the door to the forge to see Poppy sitting on an anvil with her weapon by her side. She gazes at the bright and burning flame as if she is in a trance. He retreats from the doorway that leads to the smithy to ponder what's going on with the Ambassador. He looks around for a bit and an obvious answer came to him.
"Blomgrun."
Of course. Her father. She misses him a lot. Sympathy grows to Titus as she became a casualty of war...when her father was assassinated by the Noxians. Maybe he could try to get her mind off the past.
"You shouldn't dwell yourself in the past, Poppy..."
If Poppy turns around, she would see Titus resting on the frame of the doorway, which is the entrance to the forge.

Poppy turns her head slightly towards the voice, still keeping her gaze in the fire.
"Who says I am dwelling in the past? I believe I have more than proven that the past does not control me with my work at the Embassy. However... you lose your father to an assassin, and try not to be haunted by memories when you are in the place where you spent the most time with him. It is not easy... if even possible at all."
She grabs Whomper and easily lifts the hammer up to her shoulder.
Telling Poppy that he lost his sword in his own prank that turned into a fiasco will label him as an idiot. Titus expression becomes slightly embarrassed.

Poppy turns around to face the man, raising an eyebrow at him while still sitting on the anvil.
"A sword? Anything special you wish to be part of the blade?"
A weapon... despite this being someone from the Bandle City Navy, Poppy felt like she should make sure that the man could be trusted with a weapon. You never knew what could happen when you give someone a weapon.

"Cosmic themed? Hmm... I'll see what I can do. It is probably better if you come back later, it will take a long time to create a blade. It will take me most of the day, maybe even until tomorrow."
Poppy then looks around for a moment, her eyes scanning for a good piece of metal to use.

Poppy shakes her head, her expression as determined and serious as ever.
"No need. I work better alone... only one whose help I ever truly felt like I wanted, was that of my father's. His guidance... was what led me to where I am.
I will clean this up after I am finished with your blade. Check back in a few days. The blade itself will take the first day at the least now that I think of it, the decorations, hilt, finishing touches and the tempering to make certain it does not break, will take at least a couple of days to do properly."
She then turns to the side and lowers Whomper against a table as she searches for fitting pieces of metal to use in the commissioned sword.
"Wow. That much time for a sword....well thanks Poppy. I'll come back as promised."
He begins to leave wen he stops for a moment. He looks back at Poppy briefly.
"Umm..hey. Your father..." He pauses for a moment trying to search for words, but he couldn't say much to Poppy. "Never mind...I'll see you in a few days."
He exits through the door and starts to walk away from the Smithy.
((Is there going to be some time lapse here just like what Teemo did on the other thread?))

((Maybe... maybe not... I like writing posts about the smithing itself. Dunno why. :3 ))
"I suppose so..."
Poppy walks around the room slowly, looking through every shelf and drawer on the way for a plate of metal in the right condition and shape for this. It would ease the creation of the blade a lot if the metal was in good condition and it was close to a bar of metal rather than a thin flat plate. It would be stronger to use, even if a bit harder to shape.
After finding a piece of metal close enough, she takes the large industrial tongs and places the metal into the flames of the forge to heat up while she goes and pours herself a cup of water in the kitchen.
A few minutes later, she returns and lifts Whomper from the table it was leaning against and pulls the heated metal from the forge and starts shaping it with the large hammer, striking precisely and hard even with the odd shape of the hammer. She had worked with the hammer more than enough to know how to use it to create certain shapes, and a blade was not an exception.
After shaping the metal for a while, she places it in the water trough to cool it and then shapes it a bit further before placing it in the flames again. This would be a long process... but a rewarding one.

3 days later, 16th of February, 23 CLE
Having worked on the commission she was given for a couple of days now, Poppy looks at what she has created. The blade was ready... mostly. It would still have to be given finishing touches like the color and decorations, but the blade itself was ready. The hilt was finished, but needed some cushioning to not break the user's arm when crossing blades with another sword.
Happy with the quality of work so far, Poppy grins slightly for a moment, something most would not have seen from her in years, but it lasts only for a second or two before her expression turns back to it's grim determination again.
She picks up the blade and brings it over to a table on the other side of the room with delicate tools, more delicate than one would expect from a blacksmith. She takes a small carving tool and starts creating the stars and shapes of the cosmic theme the weapon was supposed to be... this would take a while, but the weapon should be finished by the end of the day. Then she would have to paint the blade to the colors requested and put the different parts of the sword together. In any case, the blade would be ready for pickup by the time the next dawn would come up.

The scout captain steps up to the door of Blomgrun's smithy. He'd been told by a few of the town folk that Poppy was in Bandle again. The only reason he didn't know this was because at the time of her return, he was away on a top secret mission. That would probably explain why his uniform was mildly dirtied and in his hand he held a broken combat knife.
Teemo knocks on the door of the smithy confidently, not hearing any loud cracks from inside and assuming that at least Poppy wasn't busy with her hammer and could actually hear the door.
