Caerys nodded to Vergil, and returned to the dungeon-barracks of the Brides, her fellows praising her for her moves today. She didn't really have much say beyond what was required of her. She could chat with them when she was away from the Estate.
On the Balcony
Sylvia returned to be seated at the tea table, and again offered the mercenaries tea and biscuits after they ignored the initial offer, the steamy blue Ionian tea giving off an appetizing aroma, while the biscuits from the Sinful Succulence box looked as inviting as ever. "So! young Vergil. Are you quite satisfied with the house champion?"

Eli chuckled at Vergil. He probably could have won if he wasn't a fool that got distracted, or carried multiple weapons. The handicap of such foolishness is far worse than Caerys' injury. "Yeah, she is injured, I gave 'er a decen' cu' when I fought 'er, that's why she declared I won. Bu', even an injured fighter can beat a distracted one. I hope ya' aren' like that all the time."

"You might think you've won, but like a cornered animal, I don't give up!"
Titus remained quiet, knowing he was the only one who had barely even put up a fight, he had no right to speak. Caerys had his respect and he wouldn't mind fighting alongside her, but their was an underlying anger for making him look weak. No doubt he had lost respect among the group from his fight, if only they could fight a some sort of magic wielder, then he could show them his true power. Titus suffered from a minor case of over specialization.

`Mister Crohill, Did I ever tell you about why Wylet wasn't the best off in this group?" Vergil was about to cut Eli's share of the wages for jabbing insults at him. "I tell you now if it wasn't a spar I would have fought her tooth and nail if I had to, not some lollygagging weapon swap." He now returned his attention to Sylvia. "now as for our discussed deal, You will receive 30,000 Valor's today from my personal savings as well as receive Vermillion's share of the jobs we undertake as well as a welcomed spot among us."

"Ah, you're one of those 'it's just a spar, why give it my all?' type of folks. As far as being the 'best off,' as long as I ge' paid more than I did on my own, I couldn' care less. To be honest, I'm mostly in i' for the challenge." Eli smiled at Vergil, oh how amusing it was to annoy him. The biggest problem Vergil would have with Eli is that he simply had not one fuck to give.
"You might think you've won, but like a cornered animal, I don't give up!"

"good then I'm sure you wont mind 20% of your share going towards keeping the guild functional now would you. And one thing you need to learn is that when I go all in there is little more then 2 halves of body left." Vergil was right about ready to kick Eli of the team but he simmered down a bit.

Eli shrugged, "As I said, still more than was makin'. An' you don' have t' go on about how you figh'. Serious comba' you're feirce, sparring you're no'. Sorta like me, off the job I'm an ass, on the job I'm no'." Again, not one fuck was given.
"You might think you've won, but like a cornered animal, I don't give up!"
Sylvia was disappointed her guests were not tea and biscuit folk. But, she agreed to Vergil's statement. Being part of a strong fighting group would be mutually beneficial to both parties. She looked at her scribe and the young man quickly got out parchment and quill.
"Let it be known, the Blood Bride Vermilion has become a member of the growing and prestigious Seven mercenary group. May our partnership bring both parties prosperity in the future." She turned to Vergil. "Also, do conduct money matters with my scribe here. If there is nothing else, I believe today's business is concluded, unless you wish to speak with your future comrade some more."

"Mister Crohill do be reminded of your place among us." Vergil grabbed one of the biscuits as he began to oversee the money transaction with the scribe. "I would like to speak with Vermilion about briefing her on our current enemy." He signed his name on the document and handed pen back and leaned back in his chair.

"I know my place, an' that's fighting. Ya' don' like me, don' keep me, bu' good luck finding someone who's better a' fighting." Again, any attempts of Vergil trying to threaten Eli were nothing but a source of amusement. No matter what Vergil said, the duel he had with Caerys was pathetic to Eli.
"You might think you've won, but like a cornered animal, I don't give up!"
Caerys is summoned and eventually allowed to head up to the Balcony. Sylvia has her remain standing though; popular as she was, Sylvia always made ways to remind the Brides that in the end, they were her slaves.
Caerys leaned back on the railing, and crossed her arms. "You were to tell me in-depth about our opponents?"
She looked around to the group, eyeing each one up. "I didn't catch your names though..."

Vergil motioned to each one of his men as he introduced them. "This is Eli, Titus, Krutis, Sara, Hyne, and Lawin." He then changed the subject to that of the enemy. "We have had several clients now requiring us to kill of that same bandit group which has been mostly the whelps you would expect except for a select few. They are about the size of a ursine wielding weapons the size if my own blade with ease, and they can survive quite the beating. One was shot in the eye by Krutis only that it didn't die like it should have. So far we have confirmed that 3 of them exist."
Caerys nodded. She would need to speak with Decima of all people for advice, given her recent victory of a large opponent was due to sheer fortune of the arena. She continued asking.
"I see. Do they fight together or as individuals? Are they leaders? How intelligent are they? Did you discern if they have physical or mental weaknesses? Where do you expect our battle with them to take place?"
Titus shot a glare at Eli, his helmet had been returned but he kept it off now, "Shut your trap Eli, you're making us look like fools." he growled. Titus liked Eli for his skill, but the mans attitude would get them into a ton of trouble and Titus knew it. It seemed this Caerys liked to know what was going down, she wanted info and Titus liked that.
