Rather than continue talking, however, Phi squatted down to attend to her wolf. She picked the bullets of it's plating, then opened a small hatch on it's side. The electrical damage was apparent, but a repair could easily fix that. After closing the hatch and patting the alpha Iron Wolf on the head, she spoke to Viktor. "So what brings you here?"
TNS-4 remained silent. It was obvious he was still weary of Viktor and Phi, especially now since there were two of them. The black cloud that was the nanobot swarm made its way out of the men's suits and formed around TNS-4, but didn't go back into his body, in case there were more hostiles. He had the feeling that they wouldn't give up with just four, and wanted to get moving. He would do so, with or without them if they delayed too much.
Viktor merely watched Angela as she tended to her creation, removing the bullets caked against its chassis before opening it up to see to its internal mechanisms. For the time being, he didn't seem to have noticed TNS-4 or the black swarm of nanobots that were ready to defend their host at the slightest provocation. The Machine Herald seemed far more interested in his former classmate.
"Friend is a bit of an overstatement, and you know that I have no such things..."
He folded his arms across his chest, tilting his head slightly to one side as he stared in curiosity at the female Zaunite.
"I could ask the same of you, Angela. What is your purpose here, and how did you come upon this.....lad?"
"Oh hush with that 'no friends' nonsense. Even if it's just me, you still have one friend." As Viktor crosses his arms, Angela would place her hands on her hips, returning the head tilt with a slight pout.
"As for why I'm out here, my wolves were on... patrol, and found something interesting."
The stare that he gave her after hearing her response did nothing to hide the bemusement that was clear in his voice. Viktor remained standing the same way for a minute as he tried in vain to gauge his former classmate's purpose and intentions, but ultimately he gave up on such a thing. He never was able to understand her, even when they attended the College of Techmaturgy with their respective hopes and dreams driving them through the mundane days.
"That something interesting, I take it...." He turned his masked visage to the boy, around whom the countless black machines swarmed. "...is this young boy? I am certain that I am missing some data, such as what that cloud is that surrounds him..."
TNS-4 didn't like this one's curiosity. He didn't know how he would react upon hearing about the swarm. He was already part machine, he might want TNS-4 to find new ways of converting himself. This... man knowing the truth would most likely do more harm than good. "That is none of your concern."
Viktor's attention turned to the boy, who had spoken up in surprising defiance. It made no difference to him, however, as he had no interest in the lad other than as a potential acolyte. However, the Machine Herald wasn't in much favor with his fellow Zaunites as of late. This was thanks to the Defender of Tomorrow, the self-appointed protector of Piltover who had raided his laboratory and brutally subdued his prior followers. After that fiasco, few had any interest in following someone who possessed such a dangerous and formidable adversary.
For his part, however, Viktor simply considered Jayce an unwelcome deterrent from the fruition of the Glorious Evolution. Viktor, personally, believed that so long as Jayce drew breath and was able to combat him as an equal force, then the augmented Zaunite's ambition fail. Viktor had to teach the world, all of Valoran and Runeterra, the futility of flesh and blood. He needed to prove to them that metal and technology were superior, that they were the rightful dominion of future generations to come. To ensure that man became one with technology, to not only use it but become a part of it.....this was his hallowed mission in his otherwise meager existence.
"If it possesses the potential to benefit the Glorious Evolution, boy, then it is indeed my concern. Whatever those things are, they are not organic in nature. I can tell that much just by looking at them."
Angela steps forward, placing a hand on TNS-4's shoulder. She had her own plans for the boy, and she wouldn't allow Viktor to ruin them. She'd attempt to protect him for now, no matter the cost. "Come on now Vikkie, surely you have better things to do other than trying to use some kid."
TNS-4 brushed Phi's hand off his shoulder, he still did not trust her very much. The blades extended from his wrists again. "If your 'Glorious Evolution' is at all similar to what happened to me, perhaps I will show you what it is that is so 'interesting' about me. You can end up like the others who pursued me."
Viktor turned his masked head to level a glare at Angela. "Use is such a distasteful term, Angela. I would prefer to use the word siphon, as in I would like to siphon whatever information he might be able to provide that would impact the realization of the Glorious Evolution...."
At TNS-4's rather bold proclamation drew the Herald's attention once again, as Viktor turned his head back to the lad to stare at him in seeming bemusement. "End up like whom? Foolish boy, do you even know who you are speaking to?" Upon chiding the younger male, Viktor extended his left arm to show him just how far the augmentation to his own person had gone. "Organic beings bear no meaning to me, for I have sworn to cast away my flesh and bone in order to become something more! Something superior to the biological impediment that we were all born with! To replace my weaker anatomy with the highest caliber of technology I can obtain, most of which is of my own design. Do you believe me to be selfish like the flawed humans who only serve their own interests?" He leveled a gaze at TNS-4 that made clear his indomitable will and eternal drive. He was, without a doubt, a man who wasn't afraid of the costs to himself if it meant realizing his dream of the perfect future for Valoran.

Garth listened to their conversation it seems the famous Viktor had decided that he was not going to give the experiment much of a choice. And if Garth knew Zaunites, which he assumed he did due to him spending years of his childhood, then the woman had personal motives too. Furthermore, the word 'Siphon' didn't help Viktor's case much. The aspiring detective had heard enough and stood up from his hiding place before yelling, "And what about what he wants!"
Garth had moved away from the rock he was hiding behind allowing the Zaunites to see him fully. It looked as though he was from Piltover or at least bought his clothes there. However, the augmented eye that glared at the two scientist might be contradicting evidence.
"Maybe, you planned on keeping him in the dark till you had him trapped and forced your experiments on him? Kind of like what the scientists that transformed him into what he is did? Took him from his home and family. Plucking him off the streets like he is some resources of abundance!" Garth yelled his tone growing in volume, "It wouldn't make you any different than the other scientists here."

Zaun science is killing far more than its saving. I want to put a stop to that!
TNS-4 turned to face Garth, raising his hands into a ready position, he slowly started to back away from everyone present, hoping they would begin to fight each other. The swarm began to swirl around him faster, he seemed to ignore what the others said. He didn't care what any of their reasons were, if they meant him harm, he would kill them. He was driven now merely by the animal instinct to survive.
Viktor turned to level a glare at the new arrival, who had boldly slung some rather haphazard accusations at him. The Herald folded his arms across his chest once more, his masked visage devoid of any expression.
"You have some nerve, boy, to say such ludicrous things about someone you don't know the first thing. Every one of you fleshlings are the same, so apprehensive of those things you can't comprehend, that your first instinct is to question it aggressively and without an open enough mind to make sense of it. Irrational impulse such as you've displayed is a major reason that death and violence are so prominent in our world...."
The Herald looked over to see TNS-4 back away from them, as he let his artificial arms fall to his sides. The automated arm installed in the pauldron on his left shoulder bobbed slightly with the motion, wriggling its metallic digits as if it were preparing itself for use. But Viktor would not yet resort to unrestrained hostility.....yet.
"One thing is correct, however, in that I don't care for your well being....boy. Though that doesn't mean that I intend to bring you any harm. The technology you possess - whatever those things are that seem to serve the sole purpose of keeping you safe - is of interest and relevance to me...." Viktor then did something unexpected, as he extended his left hand towards the boy who had forcibly been experimented upon. "The only thing I ask of you is that you allow me to observe and analyze you, that I might be able to understand what it is you truly possess and apply it to something greater than even you or I..."
TNS-4 stopped backing away and looked at Viktor. His face was unreadable as he analyzed the Machine Herald "Where do you want to 'observe and analyze' me. What assurance do I have that you will not try to kill me like they did?"

Garth glared at Viktor, but was civil enough to let him finish, "You're right Viktor, I don't know much about you in particular. But I spent eight long years of my life here, breathing the polluted air, and seeing Zaun science." He paused recalling his life in Zaun, "I don't know anything about your revolution, but there is one thing I understand and have a right to question. That is Zaun science in general. For example you just stated, 'You don't care about his safety'. What does this mean exactly? If you're curiosity gets to be too irresistible, you may end up killing him to sate it?"
The aspiring detective was getting on a roll and continued on with his speech, "Maybe that is what you mean! So you take one life, how many do you benefit? Any at all? A few? Perhaps that might be enough, but sadly that seems to be a rare case for Zaunite science. When I went to school here, kids would mysteriously not show up for classes, and miss days, weeks, or months. When the students asked the teachers what happened to the students they simply replied, 'They are furthering science'. That was ALWAYS their answer, it was like a machine." Garth paused before adding, It doesn't matter how many subjects, or who those subjects are. Whether it is the homeless, gang, young children, young men and women, mothers or fathers, sons or daughters, none of it fucking matters! No matter how many sons or daughters die! No matter how many mothers or fathers are experimented on! It can all be justified with one stupid FUCKING PHRASE!" He roared the last part, and looked at the three before him.
"It is all for Science. Now my question is how has this procedure benefited humanity for the most part? How has Doctor Mundo's abductions and fatal experiments helped anyone, but satisfy his inhumane practices and wants? How has Singed helped anyone but himself? No, in fact look at the Ionian invasion. That is what Zaun science does best. It does not better humanity....it kills it! It burns it till there is nothing but ashes left. Most of the time it takes life when people are experimenting with it! Then they improve their fucking war machines to take even more life!"
Garth paused his face slightly red with anger waited for anyone of the group to reply to his speech. He had more, but decided to pause and see if anyone here fucking dared to argue. He knew Viktor would most likely react poorly, but Viktor was perhaps one of the better Zaun scientists. Granted, he was more than a little radical in his belief of the glorious revolution.
