The soldiers who did not fall to the man's gun, fell to Tilly's blade as she hacked and slashed her way trough the line of forces in her path to the building. "Hurry up" She called behind her, splitting a soldier in two as she continued to cut a path towards the building. Even if the man's action was foolish, Tilly admired his compassion for others
When the last Noxian in her way fell to her blade. She quickly ran over and began to help the man with the injured, getting them to the building quicker.

Finally, the three got to the building; Jon knocked open the door with his left shoulder as he was carrying the wounded man mostly on his right. Almost stumbling from the hit, he surveyed the household: it was a normal house, but abandoned, which didn't surprise him: after all, in the middle of a war, one normally wouldn't find it ideal to stay in such a place for long.
Setting the wounded man down on a nearby chair, Jon ran through the systematic check: heart was steady and pumping blood, bleeding was held, breathing was at an acceptable pace...
He was still going through the check when something caught his eye: the Noxian crest on his right shoulder, with the roman numeral 'I' on it. That meant that Jon had saved a Noxian soldier, and one who had been at the first landings of the invasion to boot.
While he noticed this, the wounded man was doing something: he pulled a sheathed dagger from his side, something he didn't notice before, and was holding it out to him, as if he wanted to surrender; Jon simply pushed the dagger back to him.
"No... you can keep it," he told the wounded Noxian, "but you're gonna want to be sure the Ionians don't murder you on first sight, so take this white rag and wave it when they find you," taking a white rag from his satchel and giving it to him.
"Now, just stay here until the Ionian force arrives, and give yourself in then, " was the last thing he said before he got up and turned to leave, but not before he heard the wounded man say something.
Tilly looked out the window of the building, making sure no more Noxian forces were on their tail. When she was sure they were safe, she went to go check on the medic and the injured man.. only to catch glimpse of the Noxian crest on the injured mans armor. Tilly's eyes flashed red with anger as she glared at the medic "Just who the hell are you trying help?" Tilly barked before her gaze turned to the Noxian soldier, who looked terrified.
"Stand aside.. this man dies." Tilly then said bluntly to the medic, hands gripped tight around her blade.

Jon was only feet from the door when he heard Till's words; he didn't even need to hear what they were to know what she intended to do. Within several swift steps, he was between the Noxian and Till.
"Whoa, whoa! Look here, miss, this man has already accepted to surrender. He is essentially unarmed, with no way to protect himself, and has already, for all intents and purposes, withdrawn himself from the fight. There. Is. No. Need. To. Be. Concerned. With. Him. Anymore."
He stated this in a somewhat loud, but very stern, manner; holding out one hand at Till, his other was on his revolver holster. He didn't think - and especially hoped not - that he would need to draw and/or use it, but seeing her reaction, he wasn't going to take any chances.
"Besides... what's an injured, surrendering Noxian going to be of concern to the main force out in the square right now?" As if on cue, an artillery shot exploded outside, with several more shots sounding off right behind it.

"And what do you think he'd do you if you were the injured one!?" Tilly snapped back "He'd kill you, that's what. Why should he live!?" Tilly gestured to the chaos going on around them "What of the innocent people these' monsters have slaughtered!? What of them!?" Tilly went on, pointing her blade at the injured Noxian.
"Why should he get to live when hundreds, nay, thousands of people died, by their hands!?" Tilly glared at the medic "There was no reason to be concerned with Ionia either, but do you think they cared?" Tilly's hands gripped tighter around the hilt of her Sword. "He knew what he was getting himself into by coming here."
Tilly's eyes shifted back to the injured man, then the medic "Now.. Stand. Aside... I will not ask a third time"

Till's response to him was enough. He drew out his revolver and had it leveled on her, though unknown to Till it was only loaded with 2 shots, and the chamber with the trigger wasn't one of them.
"As a medic, I will NOT allow the rules of the convention to be violated in front of me!" Jon retorted. "Yes, what individuals may have done are also violations, but is doing the same thing making the Ionians look any better?"
"How would the rest of Valoran look at Ionia if they found that the Ionians themselves were committing atrocities that were just as bad, if not even worse, than the Noxians!? It wouldn't do anything!"
"Also, how do you know this man wasn't simply following orders? It's very well known that in Noxus, it's listen or die, and they're pretty d--- good at brainwashing their troops. If you were raised in such an environment, would you have done or known any better? This man probably hardly knows what he's done for all we know!
"As it is, the main objective for Ionia is to get Noxus off of it's territory, and executing unarmed PoWs isn't going to help that in any way; if anything, it will only serve to hinder our moral argument; after all, I'd rather fight these Noxians with help than without."
"Now, enough innocents have been killed in this war, but for us, as it stands that's the past, and directing our revenge on an enemy that no longer has the will to fight, nor has the capability to do so, is not. What. Ionians. Do."
"It's clear that Noxus has violated the convention, but there is a multi-national group that exists to hold them up for it. Ionia, for all this time, was a nation known for being forgiving and peaceful."
"Are you going to allow yourself to fall from those ideals? Allow yourself to devolve to commit those very same, barbaric practices that are the hallmarks of Noxian brutality?"
"All in all, it really begs the question: you might officially be on a side, but in your heart and mind, are you Noxian... or Ionian?"
Throughout his speech, his revolver was still pointed at Till, and Jon had expended quite an amount of energy speaking it. He could only wait, and hope that she was one who could be reasoned with.
Tilly continued to glare at the medic for a long time, even after his speech was over.. thoughts raced through her mind, most of it blind hatred. Her hands gripped around her Sword, but she did not move. "I don't care.." She replied "They lost that privilege when they slaughtered my people.." The hatred burned in Tilly's eyes. "We are peaceful and forgiving, but they ruined it. They brought this on themselves.. They. All. Die." Tilly said, and just when she was going to move the medic out of the way, the building shook as Noxian troops closed the distance on them.
Tilly grit her teeth.. there was no time. "Fine.. HAVE IT YOUR WAY" She screamed at the medic before she charged head first in the battalion of Noxian troops. Cutting them down this way and that. She was vastly out numbered, but she did not seem to care.
Driven by pure fury, she sliced them all, blood soon covered the ground completely red. Tilly screamed in fury.. in anguish.. a combination of the two as she took out her built up sadness on the Noxian forces. And if she fell because of it, at least she would see her family and people again.
Various blades clanged against her Armor as the Noxian forces all focused their attention on her. Keeping her head low, she spit two of them in half before whipping her blade around and catching another. One of the Noxian troops however, managed to find a weak point in Tilly's Armor, driving his sword into her side where it stayed pierced.
Tilly let out a cry of pain as blood soon flowed from the wound. Tilly quickly gutted the soldier before any further harm wad done. She looked around her as her energy quickly began to fade from the rapid blood loss. Tilly grit her teeth as the Noxians closed in on her.
Tilly's blade began to glow a bright orange. "If I fall today, you all are coming with me!" she screamed as the Noxians dashed at her. Tilly raised her blade high into the air before she brought it down with massive force, slamming it into the earth so hard that it began to shake and crack. Noxians fell left and right all around her most of them killed instantly from the sheer impact.. others, were knocked flying back.
Tilly looked around her.. her vision beginning to fade slightly as she fell back onto a nearby wall.. sliding down until her was sitting. She turned her head to the side and coughed up blood as it still poured from her wound. Tilly looked up towards the sky as rain began to fall.. soaking the tired warrior, tears rolled down her face, but not from the pain, from the heart ace.. Though, it would be hard to notice because of the rain.
Tilly then simply sat there and stared at the sky, waiting to bleed out..

When Till screamed at him, he was going to pull the trigger, but seeing her run out the door meant that he had won out... this time. Taking a deep breath, he fell down, turning to the wounded man he had just saved for the second time.
"What is war good for anyway?" Jon asked, almost absent-minded. The man shrugged and shook his head as if to say 'I don't know.' Jon sighed again. If only the world could be, without war...
however, he then remembered what had just happened. Picking up his rifle form the side, he dashed out the door, rifle leveled and ready to fire, when he came to see the whole street essentially devastated; it looked like an earthquake hit the bloody place. Seeing so many fallen Noxians... Jon had truly been lucky not to have to fight Till just moments ago.
However, it was then that he noticed Till herself, just sitting there, bleeding. And once again, his Medic instincts took over. It was rainy, but that wasn't a concern to him.
Rushing over, slinging over his rifle and drawing out his medical satchel, he motioned Till to lay down, pressing against her chest as if it were an order. When she was laying down, Jon carefully removed the sword that was stuck in between her armor, and tossed it away.
He then proceeded to remove the small metallic bits that were caught with his tweezers. Drawing out a syringe that was filled with Penicillin, he administered it to Till directly at the wound, so as to ensure that the wound would not infect. upon applying the wonder drug, he took out an extra-large bandage and wrapped it around her side, securing it with a closed pin to ensure that the bandage would encourage the wound to close.
He then went to work on the other minor wounds, and upon treating them with sulfur packets and smaller bandages, believe his work complete... until he noticed she was bleeding through the mouth. Panicking on the inside, he searched his satchel for the hextech breathalyzer, but realized he had lost it somewhere...
"Hey, Para-Medic! You forgot this!"
Jon turned around; it was the same wounded man he had saved earlier. He was using a stick to support himself in one hand, and in the other was the breathalyzer. Jon could only stare in wonder as the man approached him and handed him the hextech device; Jon immediately applied it to Till, stopping the internal bleeding and restoring her insides.
Taking it off upon seeing that her internal bleeding stopped, he gave a hard, long look at her, when he noticed that she was... crying. Even though the rain was becoming close to a torrent, he could see it from her eyes.
Now thoroughly drenched himself, he pulled her back up to a sitting position, and then, what he did next even he couldn't believe: he embraced her, trying to comfort her through her pain.
"Don't worry, Till, I'm here for you... we'll get through this hell, even if it lasts to the end of time, I've got your back..."
It was quite the sight, in the middle of a war-torn street, a warrior woman being held by a combat medic, and with only a wounded PoW to watch...
((The following theme played in the background as Jon came to finish treating Till and subsequently hug her: www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtmAiNG2Lxk ))
Tilly simply stared up at the sky.. and she then closed her eyes, waiting for her life to fade from her. "Never forget.." Tilly muttered silently.. but then, her being moved caused her eyes to open. She looked at the medic who was beginning to treat her. She grit her teeth in pain as the sword was pulled out, followed by the metallic pieces, causing her to cough up more blood, but as soon as the shot was administered, she felt better instantly.
She then looked up at him, the tears still streaming down her face, as she did so. He looked like he was frantically searching for something, only, much to Tilly's surprise, see the Noxian solider stumble out and hand him what he was looking for, only for it to be used on Tilly. Once it was, the fire she felt in her insides quickly faded away
Tilly sat in silence for a moment looking at the Noxian soldier and the medic.. they had saved her. Why? She did not know.. perhaps not all Noxians deserved to die after all.. and then Tilly looked at the medic, her cold sapphire eyes flickering from one eye to the next before he... hugged her? Yes.. he was hugging her. Again, she did not know why, but she welcomed it. With all of her heart, she welcomed it. Burying her face in his shoulder to cry out her pain for the time being.

Jon simply held her closer as Till began to sob into his shoulders, rubbing her back to help her recover.
"Don't worry, the war will end... Ionia will prevail. I'll guarantee my life for it. If you ever need help... know that I'll be right there for you."
The wounded Noxian PoW at first simply stood there silently in the rain, but then his next action was surprising: he took off his helmet, holding it to his chest, and lowered his head in respect.
This scene prevailed for the next few minutes as Jon attempted to comfort Till in her sorrow...

The man coughed and twitched, his body in shock at being impaled upon cold steel. It was an unglamorous end to the soldier, he slid off the sword and lay thrashing on the floor. Tahlem almost left him to die as such...but it would not be right. Demancia taught him honor, and stooping to their level would discard all he learned and believed in. He reached for his pistol and unhooked it from his hip, aiming at the mans head and ending his suffering with a single bullet.
" ...Peace be with you." And he turned to the remainder of his warband. They were a green bunch, never seeing combat out of a training ground, but their skills were admirable and even with such a small force they were managing to eliminate scours of Noxian troops.
" Captain Hiragana?" Tahlem questioned, scanning his eyes through the troops and resting his eyes on their archer sitting on the floor with the captains head in his lap. " ..He's dead Tahlem...He-..Hes dead..." And the soldier began rocking the body slowly, sobbing quietly over his fallen comrade.
Tahlem cursed under his breath, another good man taken by Noxus. They are monsters who kill innocents...even his own sister and her family. They would be avenged, Noxus deserved what it had coming but...Tahlem would always listen to his ideals and put his fellow solider before revenge. No war is won without your fellow man by your side. He hooked his pistol back in the holster and rested a hand on the mans shoulder. " Rise, we will make sure his sacrifice is not in vain by pushing Noxus from these lands." These men were green..but they had spirit.
They all looked around " We lost the captain...what will we do now? " Tahlem held his sword at his side and paced, looking at the group with a fire burning in his eyes. " We all must stand together and push Noxus from the city." Mummers echoed through the group as the sounds and clashes of war reverberated around them. " No offense Tahlem...but your not even Ionian. Why must we follow you?" Tahlem stopped and motioned to the city around them. " Who else will lead? In another war...i was Demacian. Fighting for what we believed in and what was right. Today...am Ionian. Wearing your colors, fighting for your country, and fighting for what i believe is right. My sister loved Ionia, she would tell me story's of living here and wished i could see it how she did. Noxus took her from me..and they want to take the land she loved. YOUR LAND." Tahlem paced once more " Your city, your culture, your family! Yesterday i was Demacian, today I AM IONIAN. AND WE WILL DRIVE THESE MONSTERS FROM HERE." The congregation was silent for a moment, in a trance of thought. One by they pounded their fist upon their chest. " For Ionina! "
Tahlem nodded, readying his sword and advancing around the block. His men followed in a V formation. It was surprisingly empty, the troops nowhere to be seen. As if they were called off to fight some unknown threat that overpowered the lot of them. Rounding the next corner they viewed what had become of the defenders, killed by the three who stood alone in the street. " Form a defensive perimeter, it looks like they are injured."
Tahlem advanced upon the three with two men, noticing it appeared two were injured and another dieing in the hands of a fellow solider. Once they were close the companion to his right unsheathed his sword to the man standing up " He's noxian! Kill him!" Tahlem put his hand out " Stand down now" The man growled " Stand down? Did they stand down when they slaughtered our families?"
Tahlem unhooked his pistol " You are better than them to kill a defenseless man. By striking him down you would only lower yourself to their level, stand tall and hold your sword like an Ionian." The man grumbled but otherwise pacified. Tahlem turned his attention to the man on the ground " Who are you? And does she need to be patched up? We will do what we can." The man wore Ionian colors, but held himself differently. His voice and morals something different, clearly he was not from these lands.

Jon still held Till close to him, comforting her, when he heard of a group of approaching men. Turning around, he saw three men come by, instinctively closing his hand around his revolver when one of them drew a sword on the Noxion PoW, but the leader seemed to stop him, and so he also withdrew his hand. Upon being asked, Jon responded.
"No sir, the woman is now physically well, she's a bit emotionally stressed, however. As to this man over here, he's essentially a disabled PoW now; he's already agreed to surrender himself to the 1st Ionian force here. As to me... I'm not injured at all, actually: the blood is mostly the woman's and those of the dead scattered around this place. However, we've heard that the Noxians are closing in on the square, so we gotta get moving soon."
With that, he got up, still holding onto Till and helping her up, before letting go and turning to face the leader of the group.
"Before anything else, though... who are you?"

Tahlem took a quick nod at the Noxian POW and listened to Jon give him a run down on the situation. The square? They would need all the troops they can get. Tahlem turned to the man to his left who was shaking from the thought of more combat and placed a hand on his shoulder. "MEN, FALL IN. NOXUS IS FOCUSING ON THE SQUARE. WE WILL BE MOVING OUT DOUBLE-TIME." and they all moved closer to maintain formation, whispering to each other. All in all their was about 14 of them including Tahlem.
He took a quick glance then focused his eyes upon Jon. " I am unofficially Sergeant Tahlem of the Demacian military. Officially, and upon capture, i am Sergeant Tahlem of the Ionian military. Do you understand what i mean?" He did not wait for much of an answer and moved on to the next topic at hand.
"I assume you will be accompanying our unit to the square?" He looked to all the corpses and rested his hand upon the pommel of his sword. "With combat prowess like this it would be a blessing and an honor. "

Jon nodded at the first part.
"Can't exactly give my real name, but call me Para-Medic," he replied. "If rankings are in question, Sergeant Major from a force I cannot name either. The woman here's named Till, and the PoW I don't know, which reminding me... get back into the building, sir, so you can safely surrender when the battle's over," saying this last part to the PoW, who nodded and headed back inside.
"As to this result... Till's the one who did it."

Tilly would continue to weep on the medics shoulder until another force made themselves known to her. It appeared that war had taken a greater toll on the warrior than she cared to admit.. but now was no the time to grieve, there was no time. Drying her tears, she stood when the medic had helped her up, looking at the Demacian and simply giving a nod, hefting her blade onto her shoulder. She was still a little weak, but felt immensely better. "I am general Till, leader of one of the squadron of Ionian forces." Tilly stated.
She then looked at the Noxian man... scanning him with her sapphire eyes. She walked over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Perhaps.. not all Noxians are alike." She simply said, giving him a nod of thanks before she turned back to the medic. If it were not for him.. she'd be dead right now. He gave her another chance to finish what she started.
Tilly approached the medic.. embracing him herself, she was silent.. words could not speak better than actions.. but at the end of it, before she broke off, she did whisper "Thank you" into his ear before she backed off. "Come on" She then said. "We need to get to the square." And with that, she turned and started to head in that direction.
