March 2nd, 23 CLE
Ahri and her newly acquired bodyguard Thomas had begun their adventure of the vast world of Valoran together, the pair had found themselves in the great city of progress. Not too long after having entered the city Ahri had given Thomas some time to relax while she attended to her own business.
Thomas walked the streets of Piltover in his usual attire with his bird Lucas flying close by curiously as he took in the sights around him. Curious as to what things he could do to occupy himself in the city. He stopped to take a seat on a nearby bench and brought Lucas to his shoulder, looking at his companion with a grin he looked out to the city and began to think of places to see before he and Ahri took their leave from the city.

What a glorious view! Ahri was stunned by the grand city known as Piltover. She had never seen before such a big city in her life, and it was pretty much bigger than the main city of Ionia. Ahri's eyes shined as they gazed at the scenery, admiring the tall buildings along with other structures that decorated the city and its streets. So much colors, such a fresh air, so many... people.
Why were they all looking funny at Ahri? It was mostly the men who threw their eyes upon her curiously, and it placed Ahri in a quite uncomfortable spot. Some of them may have recognized her, while others were totally unaware of her identity, they were just there admiring her beauty as she walked down the street next to Thomas. Now these men were darting glares at Thomas, mostly out of jealousy, and it was pretty amusing for Ahri!
A childish smile crept on her soft, pink lips as she poked Thomas with her elbow and giggled playfully, pointing at some of the people that were around her with her own honey colored eyes. Her voice slipped out of her vocal chords as she whispered in his ears.
"Looks like my bodyguard is making some men jealous, you should feel a bit proud right now, hehe~"

It wasn't everyday a champion of the league would be seen walking the streets of Piltover, except for Vi, Jayce, and Caitlyn of course. Though what seemed to be an everyday occurrence were the shenanigans of a the infamous copy cat mage.
Ahri and her companion would soon be able to hear shouting and the crackling sounds of fire and lightning. Nearby, a circle of bystanders had come to witness the young boy in action as he effortlessly bested not one, but three mages at a time. Each of the three seemed to be a master of a certain element, one threw balls of fire, another shot bolts of lightning, while the third launched spikes of ice, all at the now hooded figure.
As the assault approached him, Kevin looked up and watched all the spells rush towards him. For the spectators, the projectiles were moving at a swift speed, but for Kevin, time had stopped. The spells were mentally broken down as both he and the attacks stayed motionless. Just as it seemed that he was going to let them hit him, he quickly dodged the fire and lightning, as his hands rose up.
A torrent of fire left his hand and collided with the spike of ice, instantly melting it down in to water. The water splashed over his opponent's feet as he spun and shot a bolt of his own lightning at the loose water, instantly electrocuting the three mages until they all fell over unconscious.
The still hooded figure arose to a proper standing position as he turned to the crowd, now silent after watching him best three on one. Smiling, he put his hood down and relieved his feline ears. "Heh, give me a real challenge!"
The crowd cheered as he spoke, common phrases could be heard amongst the group. "He won again! The copy cat won another duel! He beat three of them this time!"

Thomas simply shrugged as Ahri had poked him, if these people kept their distance because they thought he and Ahri were in a relationship that made his job easier. He heard the spells being cast in the distance and looked to Ahri and spoke casually before walking to the crowd.
"I think the guy with the cat ears is looking for another challenger, i'm gonna hopefully be just that. Be back in a minute."
With that he made his way over to the crowd swiftly getting through the bystanders to this "copycat" and stepped up to him and proudly spoke with a spark of blue aura in his eyes "Say hello to your next challenger. Let's do this"

What was this? Ahri tilted her head in mild confusion when she gazed at the odd copycat mage. He surely wasn't fully human judging by those ears... Maybe he was like her? Or maybe not... Ahri shrugged off the question and turned her focus back at Thomas, a smile curling up on her lips as she nodded and cheered for him.

Kevin was surprised at how fast a new challenger stepped up to face him. From the way his eyes started to glow he guessed he was some sort of mage. He taunted the man, extending his hand out and signaling him to attack. "I'll give you the first move, show me what you got!"
He fully expected to beat this man in one swift strike, with his own move no less. Some one in the crowd cheered for him, his ears perked up as he heard the voice. It seemed familiar, but he didn't turn to see who it was, he didn't want to be caught off guard.

"Alright then. Let's give the people a good show!" He said as he grinned at the catboy. With that he began to concentrate on his aura and created a sphere of his aura about the size of a orange in his hand, then for the finishing touch he pulled a small piece of the catboys aura into it. With The sphere of blue aura swirling in his hand he utttered a grunt and hurled it at the catboy.
Should the sphere make contact with him it would knock him back a short distance and send him to the ground with little damage done to him

A smirk crept across his face when his opponent began to conjure some sort of attack. As always, he'd wait for the strike to get close before making a counter attack. Something was wrong though, time didn't stop, the spell wasn't broken down and analyzed as usual. He wasted too much time, the ball was too close to dodge, too fast for him to react with a spell of his own. The blue sphere hit him in the center of his chest, sending him staggering back before falling to the ground. "Uugh..."
Kevin laid on the ground, beaten without being able to make a move, his own cockiness getting the best of him again. The crowd began to laugh at the copycat mage as he lay on the ground.

Surprised that his attack had knocked the catboy down Thomas rushed to him and pulled him to his feet, before turning his attention to the crowd and glaring at them with his eyes their usual color
"Hey, he lost but there's no reason to mock him for it." He looked to the catboy "After all, you win some you lose some right?"

Kevin's ears bent in sort of a disappointed way, he lost not because his opponent out smarted him or overpowered him, but he lost to his own overconfidence. He stood in silence as the crowd slowly started to disperse, the duels obviously over. As he stood, he wondered why he couldn't learn the spell the man cast. Extending his hand to his opponent, he aimed to find out.
"Heh, its been awhile since I've been beaten, what sort of spell did you use against me, I've never seen anything like it."
He thought he might as well introduce himself to the man who beat him after so long. "Oh and my names Kevin Droflum, The Copy Cat Mage."
His ears sort of perked up as he announced his title, a small smile now on his face.

Thomas looked curiously at Kevin, a spell? His aura was more of an extension of his senses than magic.
"It wasn't really a spell, consider it a racial trait if anything. And it's safe to say i'm the only person who can actually use it. Name's Thomas greenfield, aura master. Nice to meet ya Kevin"

The Fox was watching closely every move that was performed in this short battle. She could see the disappointment in the mage's eyes and she thought that he would've done much more than that. A soft giggle slipped out of her vocal chords, her eyes were glued on the mage as she stepped closer towards the latter and Thomas, giving out an amused smile to both men.
"Alas, it seems like this person overestimated his strength, I was expecting much more from this fight but I guess that it's nothing but a mere show"
Said Ahri in a provocative tone, seeking to get the mage's attention for reasons only she knew and kept to herself. The Fox looked at Thomas and gave him the same playful wink, a more of a congratulatory one.

An Aura user? Heh, thats why i couldn't copy his move, it wasn't a spell, it was his natural ability. I'll have to be more careful next time... "Nice to meet you as well Thom-"
He stopped mid-sentence, his ears perking up as he heard a rather soft voice speak to him. Soon, he gazed at The Nine-Tailed Fox, Ahri. His face turned a little red as he spoke to her, utterly embarrassed that she watched him be beaten so effortlessly. "A-Ahri...?"

Ahri giggled softly as she waved hello with her tails, while an amused smile crept out across her expression as she looked up at the mage. The Fox surely found him interesting but yet he seemed to be like all the mages around Runeterra, or at least, like most of them... Over-confident and slightly cocky.
Her ears perked up as well as he pronounced her name, a seductive gaze flashing to him as she took a step closer and leaned in closely. A giggle slipped out again from her well-tuned vocal chords before she spoke to the mage, sharing with him the melody of her soft, lovely voice.
"I see that you have recognized me little one...- Oh? Is that a blush on your face? Are you a bit embarrased that I was spectating this or is it just my presence?"
Ahri chuckled, knowing that she was tempting the young man with her teases although she didn't intend to go too far with it. People are watching, and they would suspect her even more, assuming they know her and her past, which would put Ahri in a bad spot for her reputation and she would feel guilty again, not because she did anything bad, but because she would start to scare people off and away from her.

Kevin threw his hood up as Ahri seemed to come closer, covering his now bright red face. Initially he was only embarrassed to be seen beaten so easily in front of some one who respected, a champion of the League.
"Uh...it was just cause you saw...but now its sort of both..."
His eyes went straight down as she stood in front of him. Trying to avoid her seductive stare, keeping quiet as to not risk embarrassing himself even more in the presence of a champion.
