Darkbourne Hold - a testament to Noxus' militaristic power, once the residence of the presumably late Keiram Darkwill. Urgot's legs slow- and steadily carried his undead body up the stairs. Soldiers left and right kept their eyes on him, but none dared to stop him. Urgot stopped at the main gate, where two Radesel guards saluted him.
Greetings, sire. What business brings you to Darkbourne Hold?
The General has requested me for an audience. Open the gates.
Yes, sire. If you would follow me-
I know the way. Step aside.
The gates opened. Urgot stepped inside the hold, and would soon be inside the General's chamber.

Andre Bleakwood was already inside, dressed in his black cloak and chainmail. His longsword hung on his hip even here. He nodded his head in greeting to the Headsman. He had heard whispers of why they were here, but he was not aware Urgot was involved. However Swain was cunning, so Andre would wait and see what his General had in mind for Noxus.

The Grand General sat before the High Command table. He got to his feet just as Urgot crossed the threshold, cane in one hand, a tightly wound scroll in the other, his ever-present raven perched silently upon his shoulder. "Greetings, Executioner," he lifted his chin. A single candle flickered low in its brass upon the table, shedding dim light upon the extensive diagrams spread over the table.
Sketches of a massive wall, wide enough to house an army, lay littered upon the mahogany surface. Among them was a map, upon which a border had been carefully penned around the outskirts of Noxus. "We appreciate your promptness." Swain glanced sidelong at the High Command general. "We are here to discuss the implementation of proper territorial securities."
He leaned over, pushed the sketches across the table, then resumed his dignified position, gnarled hands folded over his cane, while the two men might study this introduction to his proposal.

Andre frowned at the map. "Too big. I don't think five generals have the manpower to control a wall that size and to push the attack. I would also have issues maintaining discipline. Desertion would be nearly impossible to stop. I could control about a fifth of that wall. I couldn't hold all of it."

Swain shook his head. "No," he said evenly. "You misunderstand me. I need you on your current assignments--although I am adding one more endeavor to your charge." He turned to Urgot, crimson eyes ablaze with purpose. "Listen closely, Executioner. I am going to give you something: an opportunity serve your country as once you did. A chance to do away with the malaise that has no doubt settled over you in your retirement."
Astutely, Swain observed the cyborg, studying its rancid form for any outward indication of its receptivity. "I want you to command a legion: new blood, brought in by the recent enlistment drive. Not mobile forces, but watchmen. Constant sentinels to guard our territories. A preventative measure against any advancement on our home front--and a net for the entrance and exit of suspicious trade and travel."
The Grand General took an uneven step towards the table, drew from the pile a short list of names and offered it to general Bleakwood. "I will need five of your men--one for each of the gate-units--but not generals. Sergeants, for training purposes." He paused, glanced briefly over the plans for this massive project. "Not only will these recruits man the wall, they will aid in its construction. I project, with all the new enlistment, that the project can be fully operational in two months' time."

"I have a few men who are suited for the task of command and a few who can organize the building, but the commanding soldiers know nothing of building and the engineers I have are often too focused on building to know how to deal with soldiers. Many of my men are green. I only have five hundred who went to Kalamanda and another thousand who held the line in Ionia, but most of those men couldn't command a yordle to laugh."
Andre scans the list of names.
"I might have three who I could recommend and those three are my top lieutenants. You can imagine I would rather hold onto them, but if you command it, they are yours."

Urgot walked closed to the table, eyeing the sketches A... wall? He dug his blade into one of the paper's corners and pulled it towards him to get a better look. No... barracks within a wall. Interesting...
You wish for me... to become your watchdog? Am I to view this as a gift? Retirement? Or do I just not fit with your grander... "schemes", oh Grand General?

Blazing eyes narrowed briefly at general Bleakwood, "Three will not suffice. You will pull two more suitable officers from somewhere until I appoint replacements for them." His tone was measured, though it seemed to suggest that there was to be no further dispute of his plans.
"Retirement, please," he half-rolled his eyes at this sentiment. "Retirement is where you would be without the wall. Do not misunderstand me. This project is of great importance to Noxus. If it weren't, a faceless officer would suffice to helm its realization." Behind his shroud, he pursed his lips. Beatrice preened her feathers at his shoulder. The Grand General seemed mildly irritated as he added, "Never before has a man expressed discontent at my offer to put five hundred in his service." Luminous eyes narrowed, astutely observing the Headsman's Pride.

Andre scowled at the list of names.
"It will take some time for me to find two men who are moderately qualified. I will not give Urgot men he cannot trust to do their job."
A doubting look crossed Andre's face.
"Not to offend the executioner or yourself, why Urgot? Urgot has never lead anything larger than a squad of warriors and that deployment did not last long. Now, you would ask him to hold a wall with...five thousand men. Green boys who hardly know which end of the blade to hold. Why Urgot and not a General?"

Urgot intently listened to the General. Perhaps he was right. Perhaps this new task could fill the gap that Noxus' withdrawal from the League had left. He would never go on a murderous rampage on the fields again, and killing Garen Crownguard only once more would have to suffice; but surely doing something could distract him from his tormented existence.
He seemed rather calm for a being in perpetual agony... until general Bleakwood opened his mouth. Urgot turned towards him, with surprising agility for a being of his size and complexion.
You question my ability? His metallic legs then slowly ferried him towards the Andre. I have disciplinedely served Noxus for two lifetimes. After arriving near the man, Urgot raised his bladed arm; putting it dangerously close to the general's face You do not think I can handle a few soldiers? You call my methods into question? Allow me to demonstrate how effective they are... general.

Andre kept calm and stared right into Urgot's eyes, His face was one of determination and conviction. He was the General who held the line and fear is something that breaks the line. So is pride.
"You served admirably as a warrior and the blade of our will. However, you were no General. Yes, I question your abilities when you are given the command of a force that vast that is full of soldiers who are as green to war as Ionian grass. If you wish to be offended that is your decision, and I know that if you wanted me dead, I would be. However, I will question my orders if I feel they are not the right path. I will question them, but I will follow them.
You were a frontline soldier who pushed against the foes of Noxus and cut off the heads of their armies. This mission is nothing like that. I have experience holding defensive formations against foes who wanted us to move away. It is not as simple as fighting battles or commanding armies. These men will be starving, tired, and scared. If you do not know how to treat your men, they will break. They could receive biological weapons or the heads of our allies captured in battle. Mages could assault them with liquid fire. Do you know how to keep men at their posts while their best friend burns next to them? Would you leave the wall to engage a weak foe, like a scouting party?"

Swain stood, hands folded over his cane, looking darkly over the two bickering men. He narrowed his eyes to slits. Finally, he interrupted, his voice low but forebodingly authoritative. "Be quiet, both of you." He took a few uneven steps towards the embroiled pair, "This is not the time to bicker over who is best suited for the task. I have already made my decision."
Then the Grand General turned to address Bleakwood's concerns. "Look at the page again. Have you faith in the men I've listed? This is precisely why they have been chosen to bring up the new blood. They will not shoulder the burden alone." He offered no further explanation, only stood solemn in the semi-darkness. The flickering light of the single candle gave him a ghastly appearance. "Are there any other questions that do not involve the pointless comparison of one another's merits?" Though his tone was markedly civil, his glowing eyes flashed with grim admonition.

Andre scowled at the list.
"I can say nothing wrong with most of these men. I will get you your five commanders. It will just take time to be done properly and I will need to train three men to replace my lieutenants."

Urgot lightly touched Andre's neck with the tip of his blade before pulling it away from him. It would feel... corrupted. Sickening. He then took a few steps back, keeping his metallic eye on general Bleakwood.

"Good," said the Master Tactician. He lifted his chin to Urgot, "You will begin necessary preparations. I expect the project to commence within the fortnight. You're dismissed." His blazing gaze fell upon the general--as did the six of his hellish fowl. "General Bleakwood." He indicated a chair at the table with a two-fingered slice of his caneless hand. "Sit down."
Still, imperious, his stare unwavering, the Grand General waited for them both to heed his commands.
