February 26th, 13 CLE
A familiar carriage would arrive in front of the DarkBourne manor, the crimson coach of the blood lord parked itself at the entrance. Soon enough, the Blood Lord would exit from the wagon, as always, he offered his hand to his apprentice, assisting her down. He lead the two to the front door, actually knocking on it rather than barging in like he had the previous times he had come to the estate. Looking down he hoped to lock eyes with his pupil, making sure what he said would be heard and followed without falter.
"Swain has been kind enough to allow you to stay here while I'm on my trip. Show respect to everyone here, especially any high command officials that may be lingering around. Also..."
He was about to tell her that she would be be taken in as a maid, but he thought it would be easier for her to be told be her new mentor rather than him.

Promptly, graciously, a maid appeared at the front door to receive the guests. She held the door open for them, curtsying low, keeping her gaze trained away from the Blood Lord's face. "Master Vladimir," she greeted him with due respect, waited until both he and his apprentice had crossed the threshold, then closed the door behind them.
The foyer was large, ornate, lit dimly by flickering candelabras and what sunlight managed to sneak in through slits in the curtains. The maid smiled sweetly down at Carmilla. "Welcome to Darkbourne Hold. May I fetch you any refreshments?"
Carmilla wasn't particularly fond of being left here.. but it's not like she had a choice. During the whole carriage ride, her would toss the sphere of blood from hand to hand, mildly keeping herself entertained. Once they stopped, she took her masters hand and got down, running a hand over her dress.
When her master spoke, she looked up at him and wordlessly nodded. When she was greeted by the maid, Carmilla simply walked in and looked up at the woman, narrowing her eyes slightly, studying the maid with her soulless red eyes.

Vladimir smiled as the maid greeted him, he also declined the refreshments when she offered. Examining the maid, he determined that she would be the one that would be giving Carmilla her lessons in proper etiquette.
"So, you'll be the one teaching my apprentice then? I trust you'll take good care of her while I am away."
His crimson eyes would look down at the maid, pretty much forcing her to meet his gaze.

Vivien read the hemomancer's body language, felt his burning gaze upon her face. When she did lift her eyes to meet his, they were blank, though respectful. She had been well-trained, conditioned to portray utmost respect in her every graceful gesture. "I will, my lord," she smiled softly, bowed her head.
Then she addressed Carmilla. "'No, thank you,'" she corrected, all the while with practiced grace. She had been well-informed of the role she would play in the coming days--and if there was any apprehension in the maid's heart, her respectful smile did not betray any hints of it.
"No.. thank you." Carmilla repeated... though, it didn't hold any emotion behind it, so it was more eerie than anything. She then cocked her head at the woman before turning and looking at her master, as if asking if that was okay or not.

Vladimir patted his apprentice's head, before speaking to the maid once again. "It looks like you've got your work cut out for you."
A slight smile ran across his face as he turned for the door, opening it and taking one step out before looking back at the two girls. He directed his next words at his apprentice. "Mind your manners."
Walking out he uttered a phrase before getting in to his carriage and departing. "Best of luck maid girl, you may need it..."
