The sun was setting over Demacia signaling that night was approaching. The streets bustled with individuals trying to get important tasks done before they stopped into their home to rest and prepare for another day. Tahlem left his estate and gave hearty goodbyes to those who worked in his blacksmithery telling them to "Lock her up good" and waiting nearby for the carriage he rented to arrive. It was quite expensive but done necessary to arrive at Au Poivre in style to impress the other nobles.
The restaurant was one of the tops in Demacia and very expensive. Its normal crowd being Nobles, officers, wealthy merchants, and even the King himself. He hoped the night to go well but he knew there would be issues with the nobles to see the Half-Dragon there. As long as they keep it to themselves he hoped that her anger would be in check and not show for the whole nobles court to see.
The carriage pulled up nearby and stopped smoothly, it was lavishly adorned with gold and the carriage frame carved with Mahogany wood. The horses themselves were some of the best bred horses from around Demacia, used by couriers and the Kings family. He nodded to the man running the carriages who smiled in return and swiftly entered inside. Two parallel seats allowed about 4 occupants to sit comfortably. The lanterns lit the inside not too dark or bright and a small shelf held different wines for the occupants to drink.
Not to long after leaving his home, the carriage rolled to a stop out front of the Half-Dragons estate. Tahlem opened the door then stepped out from it, closing the door behind him, and standing nearby with his hands behind his back and a smile to wait for her to arrive. He wore a Demacian officers uniform kept in pristine condition with a look to rival the finest noble outfits. It was trimmed with gold and made with the finest silks to keep the nobles happy when he went to special occasions. It was not his choice of clothing however, as he preferred his armor or something less noble to show the common folk he was a man of the people. Maybe he could impress her with money? The look? The place? Or just general conversation he knew not. But all in all he expected a great night and evening.

Shyvana had seen so many human girls get giddy with excitement whenever they were asked out of the house.. they would squeal and frantically get ready, putting on make-up, picking out one of their best dresses that usually emphasized their beauty. But Shyvana felt none of that, nor did she care to. The Half-Dragon simply sat in a chair in her living room, waiting for the general to pick her up. She was dressed in what the summoners would call her "Ironscale" armor, a fitting piece of clothing for going out, Shyvana thought. It covered more of herself than her usual armor.
When the knock at the door came, her golden eyes shifted to it and she stood, walking over and opening it. Looking at the general, her eyes slid over him once. "So.. where exactly are we going." She asked, running a hand through her scarlet hair.

When the door opened he took a quick glance at what she would be wearing. Ironscale armor....maybe he should of worn his own armor so they look the pair? Bah. Too dented around the abdomen and the Nobles would be quite cross with him for such a "common" display. He gave her a bright smile and a short bow. "Looking beautiful this evening." He complimented, as was usual tradition.
When she asked him about the place they were going he signaled for her to walk beside him. While they walked to the carriage he told her where they were going and about the location. " I have reserved us a table at Au Poivre, one of the most prestigious restaurants in Demacia. The king himself dines there frequently and most of the Noble court spends their leisure time there. As it is a expensive and lavish location most of the other patrons will be Nobles and richer folk who visit Demacia." He hoped she would understand the urgency of being on her best behavior..it was not some backwater tavern they were heading to.
When they approached the carriage he tried to look to see if she was pleased. The carriage was obviously expensive for a small trip across Demacia at night, he was trying but being drilled in the military all your life has its effects on your wooing skills. When they neared the cabin he opened the door for her and smiled warmly. " Here we are, this will make for a Grand Arrival am sure."

Shyvana simply seemed to not care about his comment directed at her beauty. It was no that she was trying to be rude, she simply did not care for her appearance. She was warrior, on the battlefield, the enemy did not care what you wore. At the mention of the restaurant, Shyvana simply snorted a little. She knew of the place, and the people who inhabited it. When he mentioned the nobles, she frowned, furrowing her eyebrows. They were the type of people who saw her as a beast and a monster, however, she knew she could not lose her temper, Jarvan would never forgive her if she tore the place up.
When they arrived, Shyvana simply got out of the carriage. "Let's get this over with.." Shyvana thought.

When they got there he smiled a bit when she sounded like it was a chore coming along here. He had high hopes she would eventually have a good time. " Oh it wont be that bad, i promise you." He walked with her to the front, already gaining a few looks from the nobles, and talked to the waiter.
" For two, Starr" Tahlem told the man sternly who looked down and nodded. " Ah yes, we-" He trailed off while looking at Shyvana and frowned. " Yes..follow me to your table General. " Tahlem took a quick look at Shyvana and then followed the man with her close at hand.
The restaurant had a soft violin being played by a musician and the soft mumbling of the Nobles who dined in its confines. Like he fears coming to life, many nobles stopped talking and looked in their direction. Eyes scanning Shyvana with a distasteful sniff and look. Luckily the waiter placed them in the corner as asked so they would be less noticeable and he sat down, immediately filling both their glasses with wine. The waiter bowed "I will return shortly" and then quickly walked off.
Tahlem looked at Shyvana sincerely, hoping she ignored the looks from most of the court...

Shyvana looked down at the waiter and raised a brow when he stopped speaking. Furrowing her brows and shaking her head.. she followed the man and Tahlem. When all the noble stopped and looked at her, Shyvana glared right back at them. For some, it was enough for them to turn their gaze away from the Half-Dragon. Once they reached their table, Shyvana sat down in a huff, arms crossed as she glared off to the side. When the waiter poured them their wine, she took her glass and downed it with one swig.

Tahlem gave an angry glare to any of the room still watching them and they immediately turned their heads away. The whispering got even quieter signaling that their conversation was probably about Shyvana and Tahlem. He picked up the wine bottle and refilled her glass, set it back down, and reached a hand over and rested it upon hers gently.
" Don't worry, they are minding their own business now." He said sincerely, the Noble court was so despicable at times that he almost hated being counted among their number.
The waiter would return and give them a short bow. " What would you like sir, ....madam." He forced out, waiting for their answer.
Shyvana simply took the whole bottle of wine and drank half of it before putting it back down. It was clear she was not very happy.. the glare on her face was enough to say that. When she felt his hand on hers, her eyes shifted to him for a moment. "They are talking about me.. their fear coats the air like humidity after a rain.." When the waiter came back, she paid him no attention, until she realized he was forcing himself to address her.
She turned her head and snarled at the man "Is it that much of task for you!?"

The waiter frowned and then stood dignified, trying to ignore her now. What a beast..a dragon. Was all the man had on his mind.
Tahlem was not up for anymore games and turned to the man. " You will address her, with respect, clearly as you do when addressing me." He stood up a bit. " And you WILL do this or am going to show you what i know about dealing with disrespectful grunts." It was a break in proper conduct..but the lack of civility in a civil restaurant of Nobles is astounding.
He sat back down and the man scoffed, clearly annoyed with Tahlem and felt confident with most of the room on his side. " Well Sir. The door did have a no anima-" Tahlem stood up and clocked the waiter straight in the jaw, knocking him to the floor with ease, then looked to a nearby waitress who had a look of shock on her face. Most, if not all, the nobles were looking at him now. " Help the man up, and somebody who respects a woman serve us." He sat back down. " Please return to your dinner." The nobles then began whispering again...this time about him. A few employees quickly picked the man up and helped him away. Tahlem sighed and and buried his face into a hand then slid it down. Well looks like i can cross invitations off my list for awhile.
" Apologies for that....Am never going to hear the end of it...but it needed to be done." He stated to Shyvana with a sigh. Screwed up again Tahlem, stick with the military they said. Huh, good thing he did.
Soon after a waitress came by and gulped. " H-How is your evening? What would you both like?" She asked, keeping her composure.

Shyvana watched as Tahlem knocked the man flat on his back, blinking a little. Some humans hated her, some would fight in her honor, all in all it was confusing to Shyvana. The Half-Dragon's anger seemed to simmer down a little once she saw it, and that was apparent given her features. But what really confused Shyvana, was why he did it in the first place. Shyvana could have easily knocked the guy out herself, and while the Prince wouldn't have exactly been too pleased with her, he would have at least understood.
"You didn't have to do that." She said flatly, taking a sip of her wine. When a new waitress came, Shyvana simply sighed. "Steak.... please."

He sighed. " I had to. Now they will talk about me and not you and in the future they can not say knocked out a waiter. Their goal was to make you strike out at someone. "He chuckled and shook his head a bit. He did not smile, but would of at the fact she was not so angry anymore. Since he knocked the man out the nobles can not say much more about her..and use the fact she punched a waiter against her in the future. He once again replaced his hand on hers, if she allowed it, and picked up the wine bottle with the other. " I apologize for the behavior of this room, i expected better from the noble court." He refilled his wine and hers, finishing off the bottle.
He took a sip of wine as well then turned his head to the waitress.
" A steak will be fine today, Malarie" She nodded, obviously knowing the General, and began to walk away. " I will return shortly with another bottle of wine, sir."

"They will talk about you, yes. But this is something unexpected from you, if I had done it, it would have been expected, thus my reputation would go no where." Shyvana replied, folding her arms over her chest. "It was a... nice thing to do.. I suppose.. however foolish." The Half-Dragon then added, taking a sip of her own glass of wine. "And do not apologize for them..." She replied flatly "I should not have came here in the first place, I knew their reaction to me."
Post by Tahlem Starr on Mar 7, 2013 17:57:59 GMT -5
" If you would of done it we would no longer be sitting in this restaurant. In the end it was best that i did it, besides, that waiter used to be an undesirable solider i had the pleasure of being in command of." He smirked a bit then returned to being impassive. " Though i sincerely do apologize, i picked the location." He sighed. " Evident from this i picked the wrong one."
He took a sip of his wine and scanned around the room, it appeared the room had begun to mind its own business. The musician went back to playing soft music, it was almost like they never walked in now. " I am glad you did come though." He smiled.
The waitress returned with two plates, both rare, and set one down in front of Tahlem and Shyvana. Then set a new bottle of wine in the middle of the table, popping it pen for them. She curtsied " Enjoy your meal." then scurried off to serve others.
Shyvana took the steak in her hands, very animalisticly taking a bite out of it, chewing it in her sharp teeth lazily. She had to admit, it was better than eating it raw.. and it was quite good, if there was one thing she could say about humans, the knew how to prepare a meal. Shyvana then looked a Thalem as she ate, she knew this was not the proper eating method, but she could care less.

Tahlem took knife and fork into his hands and began to cut a small chunk of the steak. Keeping an eye on how Shyvana was eating, very..dragon like. He expected as much but also did not care very much either. He lifted the fork to his mouth and bit the small chunk, starting to cut another piece. He looked up at her and would of smiled but his mouth was fall.
She was quite the interesting one, and hopefully now that the nobles had started being ignorant of them he could ask her about herself. Once he had swallowed he took such an opportunity.
" Mind telling me about yourself, Shyvana? " He said intrigued.
