Thankfully for him, her strength is greater than he presumes, and with a roll of her eyes, she pulls him a little further onto her shoulder. "If you're thinking I can't carry you- don't. I'm stronger than I look, and whatever is in that flask doesn't seem to be preventing you from staggering around like a drunken sailor."
Her manner is rather antagonistic- he hasn't impressed her much with his resilience, and she hadn't planned on helping him past tossing him that handkerchief.

"it's doing a much better job at keeping me awake never mind stable." Vergil as actually drinking straight lemon juice with enough concentration to melt taste buds which was enough to shock the body into some awareness. "Is it much further this thing is getting empty." His pockets jangled with the ever tempting sound of thye gold coins he was carrying on him making the idea of pick pocketing more enticing for Rose.

If he continued drinking it, he'd have a hard time tasting much of anything from then on out- not to mention, with the punch in the gut he'd received, the additional acid would bring him to the edge of vomiting.
"It's a little ways from here- but I could let you find it on your own." She raises an eyebrow at him, punctuating her annoyance at his question. Seemingly in an innocuous way, she shifts him on her shoulder, her hand slipping down to his waist- nothing friendly, but seemingly to give him better support.
One of his gold coins was already in her pocket, which would have been enough- but walking around with a thief in close physical contact, with coins jingling freely like that? It wasn't a good idea, and he was giving her enough trouble as it was.
Perhaps a few more coins for my inconvenience.
The sound of them had already told her where they were, it was just a matter of getting them without him noticing- and in his current state, with the lightness of her hands, that wouldn't be hard.

Vergil capped his flask up he unintentionally made himself dehydrated making it harder to see straight but his sense of touch was still good as ever. Rose was both supporting him but something else was wrong with that picture because she had her arm around him reaching his pocket side alerting him in the slightest way to her attempts to steal but right now he had no proof of this so he remained in his calm painful state. "I hope this doctor of yours knows what he's doing." He was now trying to start up small talk to try and keep her from taking anything from the pocket.
"Well, I don't like you, but I've no reason to take you to a quack." She nudges him in a gesture that's an odd blend of antagonism and friendliness, which would distract him further- she made contact very near where the bodyguard's fist had, which would cause at least a little pain.
With that gesture, her other hand slips slightly, neatly taking hold of a coin and concealing it in her sleeve. That was only the first coin he'd have even a chance of noticing her take- her slim fingers were in his pocket for less than a second, after all, and he'd have a hard time noticing such a tiny stimulus with the pain that wracked his body.
"Anyway, it's just around the corner here," she comments, nodding at a small, ramshackle house.

Vergil flinched at the pain which would cause him to catch her had leaving his pocket with the side of his arm. "what was that for?" The shock would from the beating would most definitely mean she could just run without any problem without him pursuing. He looked at the shack, this was no place for a doctor just thinking of what one might get was making him feel off. "Your medic is here?"
"Ah- right, sorry," she replies, shrugging off his comment. "But yeah, she's in here- I know it looks bad, but trust me; Black Jack's the best."
She knocks at the door, and a tall, imposing woman opens it, dressed in a surgeon's apron. Her hair is black, save for a shock of white, and there's a patch of skin on her face that's a different color than the rest, probably from a transplant. Seeing Rose, she smiles- and seeing Vergil, she raises an eyebrow.
"What's with him?" asks the medic.
Rose shrugs. "He got punched in the stomach, but he's acting weird- blurred vision, I think, and he might have somehow gotten a concussion?" She looks at Vergil, and slips out from under him- he's next to the doorway; he can hang onto that for support.

Vergil leaned against the doorway looking over the rather peculiar medic, this woman didn't really look like a medic. Then again Vergil was in no shape to be parading around Noxus looking for his own medic, he might as well get a quick check up and then go and at least he can keep an eye on Rose here if he made her stay. "I have a job for today think you can make this quick?" He was panting a little from exhaustion which was a likely symptom of drinking too much lemon juice.
"...First, tell me what happened. After that, we'll decide if you're in good shape to leave," the doctor tells him, beckoning the two in before heading down a hall. Rose nods at Vergil, following a path that she clearly knows. Inside, it looks fairly shabby, until they get to a room, which looks like a doctor's examination room- as one might expect. There are two seats, a stool, and a bed- presumably for Vergil to sit on.
"Hey, Doc- if you don't need me, can I go? There's no love lost between the two of us, I'm just helping because he fell on me. I felt obligated." Rose's explanation is curt, though that's clearly more directed at the mercenary than the doctor. Vergil would have to come up with a good explanation to prevent her from leaving.

"I got into a fight and took server punches to the gut and one to the head what else would you need to know." He sat himself down on the bed and leaned back a little. "Rose if you don't mind I would like to speak with you after I am done here and I would much appreciate it if you waited." He was hoping to snag her little pick pocketing scheme after he was done at least then he would be in better chasing shape.
'Black Jack', as Rose had called the doctor, nods, and orders him in a crisp, professional tone to take off his shirt, so she can assess the damage. She takes out a small light, as well, shining it into his eyes to check the reaction of his pupils.
The student raises an eyebrow at his question, seeming suspicious. The coins she'd stolen were long gone- unless he searched under her clothes, not a scrap of gold would be found, and there was no way she'd be letting him do that. Before she could answer, however, the doctor waves at them both to be quiet.
"Well, you're concussed, as Rose said you might be," she explains, "and it doesn't look like the punches to the gut did much other than bruise. I'm afraid whatever job you've got to do will need to wait; a concussion knocks you out of fighting shape for at least three days. I'm going to go upstairs and get some ice to put on your head- Rose, you watch him."
The young mage looks like she's about to protest, but before she can, Black Jack's swept out of the room.
...Ugh, if she hadn't told me to stay, I'd just leave now.
"...what did you have to talk to me about?" she asks, crossing her arms over her chest.

"about that coin you took out of my pocket." He had ended her little ploy right then and there proving that he knew what she had taken. "How many did you take?" He asked this as if he had something else in his mind all of a sudden.
Post by Rose Sonder on Mar 7, 2013 16:33:27 GMT -5
"Uh- none. Trust me, I have zero desire to put my hands anywhere near your pockets," she says, and laughs quietly. "What brings you to this conclusion?"
((Seriously, though- next time you've been punched in the gut, try noticing a skilled pickpocket take one coin from your pocket after they've elbowed you where you were punched.
...It would be damnably difficult, elite mercenary or not; this seems like a little bit of metaknowledge.))
Post by Vergil Dreadstorm on Mar 7, 2013 16:46:25 GMT -5
((he flinched and brushed her arm as she removed the coin which lead to conclusions and he also found it odd how she was holding him up.))
"Just jumping to conclusions... but you know I can always count the coins in my pocket." This was a strange girl he would have sworn she was pick pocketing he also could have sworn that she was laughing about it like she thought she was funny, and could helping him just have been a ruse to keep him within pick pocketing range without getting herself cleaved in half. "So did you or did you not take any."
Post by Rose Sonder on Mar 7, 2013 17:25:23 GMT -5
She shakes her head. "Told you already that I didn't," she says, her expression carefully blank. "Anyway, you were staggering around pretty hard; you could easily have dropped one or two." With a small shrug, she leans back in her chair, waiting for the doctor to return with the ice.
((You- didn't mention that in the posts. Also, there wasn't a snicker when she took the coin- she was amused just now by his apparent implication that she'd want to put her hands in his pockets; she was insulting his attractiveness.))
