The next day Vergil stood in the market square waiting from his "date" to arrive as agreed upon the day before. He had gotten himself a fresh coat due to a large burn hole in his other one. He stood out in the crowd today seems their was little of his stature out shopping but that was normal for him.

Wearing the same coat that she had the day before, her hood down, Rose arrives about ten minutes after the mercenary does. He was easy to spot in the crowd- just his clothing being in good condition marks him out. While her clothing isn't clearly torn or dirty, most of it is well-worn, fading at the elbows or threadbare at the knees. Her most common attire is a skirt, now, just to conceal the holes that are developing in the knees of some of her pants.
Seeing him, she waves, her expression neutral, but friendly. He had been offering the Maven legitimate lodgings, and after she'd pickpocketed him, he offered her dinner. A strangely generous person, it would seem. Perhaps he wasn't from Noxus?
Wouldn't be the first, or even the second foreigner to court me this week. The thought brings a smile to her face as she walks up to greet him.

Vergil stood up straight and approached Rose when he noticed her. "Glad to see that you are not very picking about clothing, especially on an occasion such as this." he joked looking at her well worn attire. "I could have worn a fancy nobles coat but I didn't want to outclass you any more than I already did." He offered her his hand to hold if she wanted and motioned in a specific direction of the restaurant. "shall we go?" He asked he didn't want to rush her if she wanted to do something else first.

At his comment, she stands stock-still, and the air around her suddenly seems to ripple with heat. "Ah- you outclass me, do you? I'd love to see verbal evidence of this." A stark undercurrent of anger runs through her voice, and sparks flicker from the tips of her fingers, blazing briefly on the cobblestones before being crushed under the feet of the crowd.
She's in no mood to start a fight, but her hunger appears to have vanished, dispelled by the unpleasant idea of this one acquiring it for her. "If you still wish to spend the money, feel free to give your coin to me now- but I suddenly have pressing matters to attend to, that do not involve being insulted."
((Sorry- you kinda blew your chances with this one. I had my suspicions this might not work, and should've mentioned them sooner, but this... really seals things up. Sonder may be willing to accept a dinner under neutral circumstances, but making jokes about her class based on money is not one's wisest decision.))

"I uh..." Vergil was struck with silence he did think anything through did he, his attempts were blown out of the air with one simple idiotic mistake. "sorry..." He turned around and walked away completely destroyed by his own big mouth. Well maybe he can make it up to her some other time but right now he needed to get his act back together and get his ego out of the way.
