"Go down that hatch over their and there's a bathroom. Third door on the left."
Without hearing the rest of the conversation, Veigar goes to the bathroom... to clean his evil face and evil hands, after all, he wasn't joking when he said that he was going to clean his hand after the handshake with the mayor.
Titus blinks his eye twice, bewildered that no one gets what's he saying.
"Rumble...that's what I'm saying. When the Void attacks anywhere, we'll wage guerrilla warfare. We're going to keep the main units out of any battle. We're going to harass them constantly. We can keep some to defend Bandle City itself but our main, main, main armies won't attack them. In fact, we're going to avoid battles altogether and make engagements small! Then this invasion becomes a stalemate so that neither side has an advantage. That is step one."

Teemo drops his arms to his sides, dropping his forehead down into the table so hard it literally cracks. Without even lifting his head, the scout responds in a fairly irritated voice.
"Titus, what you're suggesting makes no sense. You can't avoid the enemy and attack the enemy at the same time. And it would be stupid to just send out small groups to purposely go 'poke at the Void's sides' once in a while, because they'd be easily killed in seconds no matter how skilled they are. Perhaps you're just fumbling your words again, but let me see if I understand what you're trying to say. Do you, by chance, mean that we will send squads out to assist our allies when they are attacked by the impending Void invasion, but will keep the main forces here in the city?"
"Apparently you don't get it...and no...that's not what I meant."
While Teemo slammed his hands on the table, Titus remains calm. But Titus becomes worried slightly. Veigar and Rumble...of course they don't get it. They're arrogant in their own ways. But Teemo? He's disappointed. Not only he's a League champion, but he's a captain! He leads ((Teemo does, right?)) the Scouts of the Mothership. For Titus, he assumed that Teemo knew about the Fabian strategy. For Titus, he uses it every time in the Fields of Justice! Why then Teemo can't recognize his own strategy?
"Teemo, don't you dart your enemies, run away, then once they run, dart!, dart!, dart! until they die? And don't your opponents fall one of your hidden mushroom traps? Boom! They get slowed! Then they then get harassed and sooner get killed by you when you have the chance? That's how we're going to take on the Void if we can't face them directly. But..."
He lifts up Teemo's head gently. Titus looks directly at Teemo's eyes.
"If you don't know your own strategy, then you lost."
((The Fabian strategy is one of the major contributors to Hannibal's ultimate defeat in his invasion of Rome. For the sake of the lore, 'Fabian' will refer to a different commander in Valoran history, not the historic second Punic War.
Oh and Titus never led the Navy. I'm in the process of fixing his bio.))

Teemo glares up at Titus, though there wasn't much of a frown on his face. Of course he knew his own strategy, and knew how to incorporate into a large scale attack like this. However, he'd already dealt with Void forces twice now and knew very well what they were capable of, much more than Titus could ever guess.
"Yes, Titus, I understand that much. But you see, that isn't going to work this time! This isn't as simple as a League match or a one on one skirmish. As I've already told you, our enemies have just far too many numbers for a strategy like that to work, and though they're barbaric, they are still very cunning and have broken through my own as well as several similar strategies. Trust me. If the Voidreaver alone escaped the hands of Nidalee, Rengar and I altogether, and a portion of their entire army got away from a group of ten of us Champions, then how can you expect that same strategy to work? We need something different. Something more evasive where we won't be on the offensive at all unless we're in an extremely large group that includes the whole of Demacia if no more than that. Something that will keep everyone alive this time! Because I've already lost twice now, Titus. I don't want to lose anymore than I have to, at this point."
He blinks, and for a moment the admiral might see a world of grief and pain behind the stern eyes on Teemo's face. Seconds later he lowers his eyes to the table, in his head going over various battle strategies and evacuation routes that he knew of. He'd lead squads of Scouts into battle before, but never had he been in charge of large scale defenses or attacks. His years of solo work certainly hadn't prepared him entirely for a few of the variables necessary in this type of plan. Hope and tactics were his only friends now...
Titus saw Teemo's seemingly stern face but he knew what the Swift Scout is feeling right now. A feeling of grief and sorrow touches Titus momentarily. Then a sense of helplessness. He wish Admiral Trajan is here right now. Things could have been a lot easier with Trajan around...
But Trajan would never see a massive Void invasion come. Titus is all alone with a captain, a mechanic, and a crazed wizard who just left to go to the restroom. His ideas were not only shot down by the flag officers but also the League champions as well. And what if Teemo is right? What if Titus is underestimating the enemy?
Titus picks up the crumpled map that he created and flips the paper so that there could be a clean sheet. No inspiration. He flips it back to see a mushroom filled map of the Yordle Land. Then he eyes on the coastlines...
"Uhh...Teemo. Tell me what the Void can do. I know that it can teleport its armies anywhere...but...you seem to know more than me. I just want to start out with the basics first. Tell me what they can do."

Still staring at the table, Teemo narrows his eyes for a second before closing them completely, images flashing behind his closed eyelids as he brings back all of the intel he could remember.
"The Void... they're a relentless force. Just when you think you're pushing them back, they come at you again twice as hard. And no matter how deep a wound you make, they somehow either patch it up quickly, or they shake it off. Some are forced to flee, but they still come back moments later when you least expect them. Their most advanced are quick on their feet, but the fresh are more like mindless drones that attack in waves. The thing is, it's not only their Champions we have to worry about. There are some in their forces that are simply... impenetrable. And when it's all said and done, they can always escape through their portals and come back when they please. The best we could do, even if all of Valoran were to band together, would be to fend them off until they go back to where they came from."
"Weird...their portals allow them in mass numbers? How did they make the portals? And how really organized are they? What about the Void creatures? What are they like?"
Titus continues to quiz Teemo. Information is important and it will be important for Titus to piece together a strategy based on the Void's strength.

Wearing new clothes (that are identical to his normal clothes) the "crazed wizard", returns from the restroom after he did... evil things. The black yordle just hears the sentence of Titus and laughs a bit before sitting on an unoccupied chair.
"Good question, i guess that the BUGS can not SUMMON portals WITHOUT the HELP of the cultists or the PROPHET... if you ask me: It's simple, we kill the Voidman"
Even though this is not as simple as Veigar says, the wizard can not kill Malzahar with his "black magic"... if he does that, the void may take control of him.

Teemo opens his mouth to answer, but the sudden arrival of Veigar cuts him off. He waits his turn before speaking again.
"I'm not actually certain how the portals are made. They were just sort of... there. It may be Malzahar's doing, but we've yet to actually see him, from what I know. But yes, they're able to transport their whole army in a matter of minutes using multiple portals at once. As for organization, it seems their armies are tiered by intelligence and cunning. The vast majority are simple-minded drones that march out in huge numbers to overtake the enemy. It wasn't very hard to cut them down, but... when they fell, they would melt away and corrupt the soil beneath them. Next are what I'd call the 'Burrowers'. They're a lot like giant beetles, and they come at you from below when you least expect them. Once you find their weak points it isn't hard to kill them quickly, though. Only a little smarter than the voidlings. It was around this time that Kha'Zix vanished and tried to get behind us, I think. Rengar, Heimer and I caught him for a bit but he got away. Again. During our fight came the next wave. They looked almost human... like people who'd succumb to the Void. The knights were unbreakable. No matter how hard they were hit, they just kept on marching - or crawling - towards us. I heard that Pantheon managed to kill one by decapitating it, but it didn't matter. They were very strong. Too much so for some. Not only that, but they were skilled swordsman. And then... then... Cho'Gath came. From his scream I could tell Derrick had ventured away from the group just a bit to far. It... was already too late for anyone to save him. The Terror made a short meal of him. The sounds were just... horrifying. It was that same moment that Kha vanished in my hands, as well as three new arrivals. One was a winged woman wielding two blades who could easily leave for a few moments to heal her wounds and then return when we weren't looking. Another was a huge knight, riding on an unstoppable mount. His very body practically oozed Void corruption. The third was Kog'Maw, who made it rain acid from a distance. Though the other two weren't League champions, they were just as powerful. In the end they all escaped, moving through portals to Freljord. Summoner Derrick was our only loss, but... it was one loss too many. He'd been our leader for the entire trip, and his younger companion Vera was now left all alone to do the job. If it hadn't been for her willpower and magical abilities, I don't think we would've all survived the remaining onslaught. Luckily we made it, though."
As he'd spoken, the scout's eyes had closed slightly, remorse hiding behind the stern mask. To him, it was another failure for himself. He'd failed to keep everyone alive, and at the same time failed to defeat any of his targets. This time, failure would not be an option, he thought.
"Killing Malzahar seems easy on paper. However, planning it and doing it is very hard." Titus looks at Veigar as he enters the room.
Titus counts as he recalls the different types of Void species.
"So the drones, burrowers, the knights which may be the main core of the Void army, the...you almost described them like Kayle so I'll call them angels, then the champions. That's...only a few of many, right? And...do you know what the ooze can do?"
Damn, bio warfare is out of the list! Titus growls in his mind as the options continue to shrink.

"Well, mister wizard, killing Malzahar is a heck lot easier said than done," Rumble chuckled. He then put his elbows on the table and rested his chin on one hand.
"Anyways, from what Teemo said, we've got an idea on what sort of army the Void has. What's important is that we spot as many weaknesses as possible in their army," Rumble stated. "Teemo, when you were fighting off the Void, did you spot any specific weaknesses?"
Post by The Swift Scout on Apr 6, 2013 13:30:45 GMT -5
Teemo props his head up on the table, cupping his hands together and resting his chin on them. For the longest time he simply stares silently ahead, in his mind going over various calculations of his knowledge. Eventually, he speaks.
"As a whole, it's hard to see any kind of weakness in their forces yet. Individually, perhaps, but... all together it seems unlikely. If there is a weakness... then we might have to dig deeper to find it. Rumble, you remember the lens we pulled out of your junkyard a few months ago, correct?"
He turns to the mechanic inquisitively, a new thought dawning on him.

Rumble blinks for a few seconds, trying to recollect his memories on the lens Teemo was talking about. However, the mechanic was also wondering why Teemo would bring up the object right now.
"My memory's a bit hazy, but yeah, I kinda remember. You said you were taking it to someone to get it inspected. What about it, though?"
Post by The Swift Scout on Apr 6, 2013 14:21:44 GMT -5
"I brought it to Piltover a few days later and handed it over to Ezreal for inspection. He didn't find out much while I was there, but apparently he was able to see Icathian glyphs all around the shop by looking through it. Maybe it's about time I went back to see how his results turned out?"
Teemo stands from his seat and looks first to Rumble, then at the other two yordles present before a familiar smirk of confidence grows on his face. They might just have a chance yet.
