Quiet. Jayce had been working on finishing up Talon's request. All the people that were there before had left, and Jayce was all alone. He let out a soft sigh; he was tired, but he knew that the end was near. He had to get it done as soon as possible. He had been working tirelessly for the past 3 days, and was almost done with it anyway.
As soon as he was done securing the last bolt, he held up his creation up into the light. It was morning already?
The helm that Talon gave Jayce now looked more sophisticated. It had some wiring along the edges, and also a scanner for gathering information from enemies. It also had a small fragment of an unknown material. Jayce had discovered recently that this material had the ability to prevent harmful thoughts and corruption from entering one's mind, and he assumed that it would probably work on Nocturne.
The shining armor was also wired with intricate patterns, parts of it occasionally glowing a pale blue. Jayce couldn't do anything special other than polish it, and secure one of the fragments onto the chest plate.
And finally, Jayce held up the blade, and fitted it onto the right sleeve. Talon would now be able to retract his blade, allowing him to fit in with his surroundings more. Jayce had to create a small coating using the material, but it was barely noticeable. When this material was in liquid form, it would be able to absorb things, and he hoped that Talon would be able to use that to absorb and capture Nocturne.
Other than that, Jayce maintained all parts. He gave them a little polish, enough to make it shine.
It was raining outside, pouring heavily. Jayce walked over to the washroom. He hadn't taken a shower, or cleaned himself at all. He was too absorbed in his work. He decided to take that chance, and rest while he was at it. There was certainly no way that he would be going out in the rain...
March 4th, 23 CLE, Streets of Piltover.
The rain had stopped.
Jayce piled the armor into a sack, and started carrying it outside. His hammer was slung across his back roughly with a leather strap.
It was probably time to deliver this set of armor to Talon anyway. Jayce racked his thoughts; Talon mentioned something about a way to summon him...
Aha! He remembers!
He walked up to a passerby, and then said:
Hey, I've seen Talon skulking about...
And then walked away, hoping that he did it right. The passerby looked back, staring at him for a while, before moving into a crowd.

Time passed, Jayce was still outside, leaning against a wall. Talon was nowhere in sight ( although that was to be expected). He checked his watch - 4 hours had already passed since he tried to "summon" Talon. He hung his head down, going to sleep.

Talon was there, waiting, leaned back against a wall. He seemed almost bored, currently picking at his nails with a glove held between his teeth. He was clearly armed, dressed as he always was, the shimmering steel of his armblade being the most noticeable thing about his person, the only thing that truly pronounced his presence. He was of course half cloaked in shadows, but that was hardly out of the ordinary.
He seemed to exude anticipation, however, the tiny smirk saying far more than words ever could. It was clear that this little project meant something to him, more than he could've said for many things in his past.
"I hear I've been in the area. You haven't been waiting out there for too long, have you? That would be a shame." Talon muttered as he noticed Jayce reenter his workspace, looking up from his preening at the inventor, his grin growing into a full grin, carrying the weight of his sadistic desires.

Noticing Talon approaching, Jayce simply nodded before beckoning Talon to follow him into the lab.
Jayce set down the finished armor onto a table beside him before sitting down on a wide couch, resting. He had been standing up all day, so he needed some rest. He didn't notice that Talon was around, however.
He grabbed his hammer and placed it on his lap, starting to tinker around with it, making small modifications that probably wouldn't have made much difference. To Jayce however... every little bit of his hammer was important, and he wouldn't dare risk it being out of place.
He shrugged, before muttering to himself, "You're here for the armor I suppose..."

"What else would I be here for?" Talon asked as he pushed himself from the wall and strode to his completed armor. It was a thing of beauty, polished to perfection, resplendent in its attention to detail. Much of that was not due to Jayce's hand, for the armor had already been immaculate before any work had been done to it, but whatever it was he had changed about it seemed only to add to the effect. Perhaps he was simply imagining things.
He ran a finger across the simple, unadorned plates, regarding the armor as if it were an old friend. Fond memories flooded his mind. The training, harsh and constant. The missions, taking him farther than he'd ever dreamed when he managed to sleep in the slums. Who else could possibly do what he could? Who else had the motivation? The training? The will? The talent?
"What does it do?" Talon asked, knocking his hood back to slip the helmet on. It was just as snug as he remembered it, but he wasn't sure what to expect now that it had been modified. Jayce wasn't known for incredibly atypical invention, as far as Talon cared to find out, though that didn't stop Jayce from having a few tricks in store for the Shade.

Jayce smiled; at the very least Talon had found his work satisfactory. He moved the armor into the light, before crossing his arms proudly. This was one of his best works - not as great as the Mercury Hammer of course.
"What do you think of it so far? If you like, I can give you a short rundown of what I've added, and I think you may find the features to be to your liking."
Jayce picks up the small remote beside the chestplate, observing it closely, before pointing to the visor of the helmet.
"I've added a small program to your visor which allows you to check the enemy's status. Would be a nifty tool against someone like Nocturne, yeah?"
He pressed the button, and a few flash of lights appeared on the inside of the helmet, for Talon to see displays of information of his surroundings.
"And here...I've added what I hope will be able to keep Nocturne out of your head. It emits frequencies that prevents foreign thoughts from entering one's mind. It's at the back of your helmet, totally harmless in any way."

"Hmm... It seems functionally similar to the information we're given on the Fields. A wise decision, very useful to me. I'll know when he's going down. Good, very good. How do I turn it on and off?" Talon asked, waving his hand before his face. Some useful tech, but the most important aspect was the last one Jayce mentioned.
He'd felt the Nightmare's presence in his mind before. It was like an energy, an immutable force that couldn't be stopped no matter what he tried to do. If whatever Jayce had done worked even a little, it would be a great help. His enemy was interesting and all but unknowable, if the League really did tamper with his strength on the fields.
"Anything else I should know about before I get changed? I assume you've got a room I can use." Talon hadn't bothered waiting for an answer, assuming there was more than enough time to explain the exact functions.

"Oh, er... No, I don't suppose there would be any... Ah! There is!"
Jayce looked to the shaft of the blade, in the right armpiece of the armor. Inside, the mechanism whirred faintly, glimmering in the light. An empty, flat opening was at the front, aligned with the wrist. Long, winding gears places into a flat metal container, snaked its way to the thumb of the leather glove. A cloak was placed underneath it, attached to the right shoulder of the armor.
((Think hidden blade, only more Piltover-y))
"I've created a mechanism that allows you to hide your blade from plain sight. It's only experimental, perhaps you should try? All you do is focus some pressure to your thumb, and pull the ring."
