Jon smiled and chuckled, glad Tahlem didn't take his revelation the wrong way, before replying.
"Oh, don't think I've lost my medical touch... with this change came tools to assist me," demonstrating this fact by having his medical arms extend outwards from his back, each hand waving at the Demacian General.
"And, I suppose you would want something more believeable, no? Well, I guess you can look at this," removing his left glove to reveal a fully machined hand, which looked halfway between a mechanical device and an actual hand, with the shape of a hand identifying it as such.
"As to the ninja part... I never revealed my ancestry to you, did I? My paternal side was from Ionia, and the Xiang clan was well known in the past for fielding some of the finest ninjas to exist. Matter of fact, one of the Katanas I wield happens to supposedly belong to the very founder of the Xiang clan itself, and so my father had trained me excessively when I was young."
"Now, you never saw me use it, and you'd likely be wondering why. Well, the truth is, during that stage in my life I thought the old ways of fighting were over. My mind was on the future, and I had firmly believed that firearms would be the way of the future. And until only recently, in fact, I still believed that idea."
"When I changed, I trained my blade skills once again, and so, I've come to this part in my life. I still very much continue my medical practice, however, and one might even say me turning to cybernetic ways has improved my surgical skills. Even though I'm almost 40, the changes make me feel like I'm still in my twenties..." with that, Jon finished speaking, and waited to see what Tahlem would have to say, putting back on his left glove.
"There's only one thing that I know for sure is true: 'Truth is relative.'" -Jon
"What side you're on isn't of concern to me. What is of concern is that you're hurt, and I need to treat you for it." -Jon

Tahlem silently examined each new thing Jon showed him and thought his opinion all the while. I wonder why he wanted to be a cyborg? Is it really that much better?
The arms on his back would sure help with tools and such. Though..it strangely made him think of the champion Viktor when he looked at them. Ha. Perhaps they shoot lasers too? Then looked at his hand as it cycled between multiple medical devices. " That will come in handy in the field i must say. The arms will allow multiple things to be done and having every tool...at hand." He held back a chuckle." Will be a great asset. Did you get Viktor to do this? Those arms reminded me of him... Also sure he would be happy to spread the "revolution" or something." He chuckled. " Though it could help me...the eye i mean." He pointed to his left eye. " Glass. Remember when it got cut in half? Brutal."
He smiled when he learned Jon could hold a blade. Oh now they must duel. " So your Ionian eh? Makes sense why you were there now. I have heard great things of the Xiang clan and am quite surprised a gun wielding man came from such a place..." He smiled.
" Though i wont call you a Ninja until i see some really sneaky antics...for now your just uh. A warrior." He smirked and leaned forward, looking jon straight in the eye. " A warrior i challenge to a friendly duel of swords"

Jon smiled and nodded as Tahlem spoke.
"Indeed, it was Viktor who made me into what I am now... and I'd dare say he'd be more than happy to give you a replacement eye, though you'd need to go to him about that part."
"...and I should perhaps explain that the Xiang clan has fielded some of the most diverse people to appear on Valoran; I recall it has had members in Demacia and Noxus during the Rune Wars, which created rather odd situations... but anyways, if those could happen, than I can be around, too," chuckling at that last comment.
"As to the 'Ninja' part... it's somewhat misleading, for I am not reliant on stealth, but I do use several major elements of it, which overlap with those of a Ninja, thus the term."
His face showed a small reaction of surprise to Tahlem's Challenge upon hearing it. "Well, it is an almighty odd request... but I see that I have no reason to turn it down, and so I will accept the challenge!"
"Although, would I be allowed to use one of my own blades, or would I be required to use one in your arsenal?..." Jon then asked in response.

Tahlem smiled when Jon accepted his challenge. This would be an interesting evening indeed. " You may use a weapon of your choice, i will be using my great sword as usual. Of course, i will also be the victor"He gloated sarcastically. He took a sip from his wine and got up from his seat, walking over the the book shelf and picking through searching for a certain title.
Once he located it he pulled it from the shelf and flipped it open, handing it to Jon. " This is the history of your clan, well, most of the Ionian clans. Weither its accurate or not i don't know.." He chuckled. " Though i find the family being on opposite sides funny...thats quite a family feud." He joked with a smile.

Jon chuckled in response; in his mind, he wondered what his old friend would think of him once he saw his suit and Masamune Katana.
"Ah, well, remember what I asked you to remind me... can't take anything for granted."
Upon seeing and being given the book, Jon raised an eyebrow, before reading through it, in particular the section detailing the Xiang clan... many of these stories had the correct basis down, but the way they were portrayed made them seem more exotic, fantastic, and unknown than they truly were.
Some of them had actually taken some of the myths and had them down as fact, which made him chuckle. He looked up while still looking through the book.
"Well, most of the stories in this book about my clan match the oral traditions I have been told when I was being raised by my father in Piltover... although I won't lie, the book puts these stories in a far more exotic manner than they really were, including the family's 'civil war,'" he replied with a smile of his own.
"Though one other question I did not ask... when and where would this duel occur?"

He smiled when Jon said the phrase. That really uplifted his spirits, quite a difference from all the doom and gloom he has seen lately. " Aye, live life well and to its fullest."
He walked back over to Jon and politely took the book back and placed it in the shelf. " Books always fabricate the story a bit. They have to keep the reader interested of course." He chuckled, turning to Jon and crossing his arms.
" That depends. Do you want to lose now..or tomorrow?" He joked, smirking afterwards.

Jon tilted his head as he pondered the question he was asked.
"Well, it's only early afternoon today, and I happen to have one of my own blades with me," he replied, drawing out his Masamune Katana, it's red steel gleaming in the light. "Would you want to spar now?"

Tahlem smiled, just the thing he wanted to hear. " You know it, follow me to a ring i have set up." Tahlem walked over to the door and opened it, leading Jon further down the hall to another door. He opened it and walked down to the basement, looking back to see if jon was following, and motioned around. The room was a basement that spanned almost the entirety of the homes underside. Their was training dummies, archery targets, wood targets to test sword strikes. The middle held a large mat for sparring. The two opposite ends of the room held combat gear and weapons if the two needed them.
" I shall get into more appropriate gear and i suggest you do the same." He walked to one end of the room and began to equip his heavy Armour and test out his great-sword on a target.

Jon followed him all the way to the ring, and nodded when Tahlem offered the suggestion to change.
"Very well..." he replied, leaving the room, and coming back... looking quite different. He definitely did not look like he did when he first came here.
Drawing his Masamune Katana, he walked over to one of the dummies and began to condition himself against one of them.

Tahlem looked Jon over when he entered again. He was,,quite surprised at what he saw. Jon was practically a full robot it seemed. The enhancements he had would give him quite the advantage...but the wind will be on his side. " Did you get your entire body replaced?" He questioned, picking up his sword.
He walked on the mat and placed his helmet over his head, throwing his great-sword over his right shoulder. He pointed at Jon and clenched his fist. The wind in the room began to spin faster, directing itself to turn around Tahlem at unparalleled speeds. The arena itself was surrounded by winds that would force you back in if you went out of bounds. Two slow tornadoes circled on the mat, being random obstacles. " Lets make this interesting" He said with a smirk.

Jon could only chuckle at Tahlem's question before answering.
"Ay, no, this is mostly a suit... but I'm not entirely human, as I have already shown..."
He took to the mat, standing opposite of his old friend, drawing out his Masamune, and, seeing that Tahlem began to move the wind around, he spun around his Katana, discharging an electric bolt from the tip of the Katana to the ground. Small electrical impulses could be seen flowing through his armor. Tahlem had wind... Jon had lightning.
He gripped his Katana with both hands, and brought it to a defensive stance, electricity crackling off of the blade.
"Ay, you know me too well for you to expect me to make the first move out of choice... but if it's so..." with that, be slowly began to move along the sides of the mat, as if to keep a circle on Tahlem.

Tahlem watched his movement and circled on the opposite end of the room. He kept a watch on the tornadoes and on Jon, the lighting crackling with the wind. Lighting..and wind makes a storm. He chuckled at the thought but quickly kicked it away. He looked memorized pattern of the tornadoes, moving in a back and froth formation, he would charge when they cross...
When he was directly across from Jon he roared and charged at him, swinging his great-sword for a slash through his stomach. "DEMACIA!"

Jon chuckled to himself mentally when he saw Tahlem seemingly mimic his movements. It seemed the two didn't fight so differently... but that thought was cut short when he charged at him.
Seeing his swing pattern, Jon brought up his katana to knock up Tahlem's great-sword, deflecting the blow; he moved himself through the motion, and spun, creating some distance between the two; he wasn't going on the offensive until he had a better idea of how Tahlem fought in this kind of situation...

When his sword was knocked up he immediately brought it down hard, striking the floor a breath way from Jon. He looked up to Jon, the wind around his weapon and hands spinning up to appear like a tornado. He charged again, swinging his sword in a diagonal motion from above. He was notably faster with his swings from the wind and the speed of the wind would make it razor sharp.
His weapon and Armour were built for heavy strikes and to take a ton of punishment. Jon would have to use speed to his advantage if he was anymore mobile. Though the fact he controls the wind will be a constant factor..

Again deciding to stay on the defensive, his senses allowed him to see the timing of the intended strike, and so he somewhat repeated his last move, parrying away the strike, and keeping the distance between the two. Tahlem may be able to move faster... but Jon's reaction time was no longer human.
He wanted to know what Tahlem could do before he would reveal any of his own moves... for now.
