The Ruined City of the Shadow Isles is the "capital" of the Isle. Champions of the league like Hecarim, Elise, Mordekaiser and occasionally Yorick can be found here in the city. A crumbling castle with a ominous mist and spirits of the dead can be seen floating high above the city to the Ruined Kings lair, the living are allowed to enter this sacred place ONLY if they seek the face of Runeterra's end.
Hecarim allows those who wish to visit the Isles clearance, he cannot guarantee that they will be leaving with their soul intact, however.

A mysterious voice echoed throughout the entire Shadow Isles, the ruined king was making a announcement.
"The fleshlings will be facing a threat outside of their comprehension soon. WE are the one's who will usher this world in a age of darkness. No one else, i have sent Hecarim to tell the city leaders we will give them support for this matter."
A Banshee spoke up to the king's castle in rage "WE ARE HELPING THE FLESHLINGS? Why not simply wait for the dispute to blow over and send our force's in to finish the survivors?" Others soon joined in raising similar concerns
A monstrous sound came from within the king's castle and within a instant the banshee was simply obliterated, all chatter was silent.
"We will give aid to the fleshbags, they will be overwhelmed on their own. And alone we cannot stop an entire world, no matter how strong we are as a people." The king's voice was growing weaker as he said this "We will have this world. But for now, we shall see this conflict through. Death, is only the beginning"
The voice stopped, all power remitting from the king's castle fell silent and The king returned to his slumber.

Elise smirked, taking a stroll through the beautiful Shadow Isles.. passing her hand through spectral leaves as she breathed in the smell of death. Sighing in bliss, she continued her walk.
The Gravedigger of the isles was simply doing his job he does best, digging graves for those who passed away and guiding the undead dezinens ghouls of those who passed away.
Eventually a full scale conflict will happen on all of Valoran, and after the conflict is over,he will do what once his family did proudly, digging the bodies of the deceased, maybe then his "quota" might be over.

Elise was wondering further into the Island, smirking a little until she heard the familiar sound of a shovel hitting the rotting earth "Yorick dear" she cooed to the zombified grave digger "How goes the digging, hmm?" Elise strolled over and sat beside the hulking dead man, fashioning a chair from her back legs and folding her hands in her lap
Yorick himself wasn't paying to his surroundings, until he heard the voice of the spider queen.
"Hm.Elise, the digging is doing good now,a foolish adventurer roamed too far to the isles itself and paid dearly for it,another claim for the Shadow isles"Yorick stopped digging the grave, before turning to face her. "What brings you to my graveyard?" Afterwards,he returned to digging.
Some of Yorick Ghouls roamed around on the graveyard, some of them staring at her, compared to the other ghouls, one spectral ghoul got a little bit too close to her, moaning while looking at her strangely.

Elise turned and looked at the spectral minion for a moment before turning her gaze back to Yorick "Oh no reason my dear" Elise replied, crossing her legs "Simply taking a stroll"

Hecarim would arrive back at the Shadow Isles with Ezreal as he walked over to Yorick's pile of graves. He addressed the Grave digger.
"Yorick, the explorer has volunteered to make a map of our Isle. See to it he does not join your ghouls." He turned to the explorer and pointed to the pinnacle of the isle to the Ruined King's domain
"The king will be waiting for you there when you are finished. Try anything foolish and your soul will rest here on the isle for all eternity."
Hecarim then headed on his way north of the isle, leaving the Gravedigger and Explorer
Yorick nodded to Hecarim, before looking at the Prodigal Explorer,it was strange that hecarim allowed for the first time a living being on the isles.
He then told to Ezreal "Lets not make your map creation wait around,Explorer".
((Opps I was kind of late...by late I mean along time)) Ezreal is left with Yorick the famed gravedigger of the Shadow Isles. Ezreal always glad to have assistance through the Shadow Isles since he hasn't explore most of the Shadow Isles.
"Indeed gravedigger now can you show me around your land since I haven't been experience with your land."
Yorick nodded to the Young Explorer, before saying.
"Alright Then, lets go,don't stick away from me at all". Afterwards,Yorick Started guiding the prodigal Explorer around the isles, halting if the explorer want's to take some notes for his map.
As Yorick a resident of the Shadow Isles was a perfect guide of showing around the Isles. Ezreal had a "explorer's high" when mapping out the area. When ever Ezreal asked Yorick halted at an specific location he wrote detailed notes not only about this lost civilization, but the culture, and how the denizen act in their daily lives. The trip around the Shadow Isles lasted around a few weeks, and as Ezreal and Yorick returned back into the Ruined City Ezreal's Job was done the fully mapped detailed map of the Shadow Isles probably the best made by mortal hands on this land. Now Ezreal turned to Yorick after returning to the city the imaginary words written on his face can tell of his excitement of his face of fully exploring the Shadow Isles. Now a question now lingers.
"Well I like to thank you Yorick on assisting me on this task. Now I'm confused as to do now at this time should we wait for Hecarim to return or I can show you map to your king post haste now?"
A deathly silence reigned through the misty coasts of the Shadow Isles, broken only periodically by the hollow, echoing moans of the lost and the muted crash of waves upon the shore. A grim stillness gripped the land, until a faint clinking sound began to emanate from the nigh impenetrable wall of mist shrouding the foreboding realm, soon joined by a sole voice.
"Cling, clang, go the chains, someone's out to find you; cling clang, oh the chains, the Warden's right behind you..."
A haunting glow emerged from the depths of the mist, outlining a gaunt, skull-like face carved into the likeness of a cruel snarl. A second were-light joined the first after a time, stemming from an eerie lantern suspended at the figure's side unbidden. As the mist parted around the ghastly figure's advance, a rickety dinghy was revealed as its mode of transport, moving entirely unbidden like its sole occupant's ghostly lantern. A dull rattling sounded as the decaying vessel ran aground upon the shadowy shores, and was followed shortly by the crunch of a boot impacting the brittle seastone, then again.
"Come, my beauties," murmured Thresh in a low whisper, raising the lantern up to eye level with a crook of one claw. "We must have you all inspected now, mustn't we?"
A grim chuckling filled the air as Thresh began his march inland, the palace of the Ruined King as his destination. It had been a profitable sojourn into Valoran, and Thresh was sure that many of the spirits he had harvested would make fine additions to the ranks of the Isles. Those that did not make the cut, however...damnation awaited. Another flick of Thresh's wrist saw the lantern open up a ways, just enough to allow for a wispy orb to ebb forth and into the Warden's waiting clutches.
"Captain Rubert Dunwall, of Denshire," Thresh mused with a snicker, rolling the orb between his fingers like a cat might toy with a ball of lint. "Believing in ghost stories now? Hah! And Lady Delwin, fairest in your humble county...tut-tut, should have listened to your daughters when they told you they were having nightmares. Isn't that right, Jessebelle and Lania?"
This tradition had been a long running one in the existence of the Chain Warden's current incarnation. One could say it was a review of the stock that he brought to his new home, or merely cataloging his triumphs. Thresh, however, thought of it more like saying good-bye to friends.
"We had a grand old time, yes, yes..." Thresh mused as he mounted a low hill and began his descent towards the Ruined City. "But, now it is time for you to meet friends of my own. Welcome, dearly departed, to your new home!"
