Her eyebrow quirks- most people would have either gotten up and left, at that point, or started hurling insults. I- guess I was right; he does seem okay with it- so far.
"I don't just date onepersonatonce. I'vealways runmyrelationships this way, and I'd letyouknowifI wanted to datesomeone else, but I wouldn't leave you forsomeoneelse; the otherpartners wouldbeconcurrent with you."
The words pour from her in a rush, some of them stringing together in a way that makes her hurried explanation hard to understand. While it's clear she's speaking honestly, there seems to be a trepidation lying behind the words; she's still concerned he'll take it badly once she's explained the way it works.
It was a bit of a surprise for him that she had began explaining in such a rushed manner. He went to lightly grasp her hand in an attempt to try and calm her down. In the hurried frenzy of her talking, he did manage to grasp a bit of what she was saying.
"ok, ok calm down. I'm not going to leave." he says, exhaling a bit as he tries to make sense of it. "We are getting somewhere at least. Let's take it slowly. So from what i got, you like to be with more then one person?" He says softly and quietly. he lightly rubbed her hand softly with his thumb.
He didn't quite fully understand what she said but he did piece together that much. It was understandable that she would be flustered by such an admittance, but it only served to increased his curiosity of what she was talking about.

Sonder blushes again, realizing how foolish her continued trepidation might seem. The last time she told someone this, they'd left in tears, thinking she didn't love them- it hadn't been pleasant.
"Y-yeah. Sometimes, I'll want to be with someone who isn't you, and sometimes I might want you to be with me and with someone else, or for someone else to be with you and I, but... that depends on how you feel about it, and who the person is, and-"
She pauses, and takes a sip of her drink- it's nearly empty, at this point. "Usually, people aren't quite so okay with this. I've- had to leave hastily, a couple of times. ...What do you think?"
He nodded a bit, understanding how distraught she must have been when she told someone else, they just left in tears. Though he had been away from society so much that he really didn't know weather, something as having multiple partners was frowned on. He had assumed it is likely not the norm at least, as this was really the first time he had even heard of someone doing that.
He would grip the tankard with both hands and slide it to himself, and tap at the glass in momentary thought. "what do I think?" he said with a slight smile crossing his lips, and he would raise the glass to gulp down what little was left, and set the empty glass down. "I think that its new to me and I don't quite understand it fully. but I will have to get used to it, and learn more about it first hand i think~"

((Well, the other person burst into tears, not her- Sonder was just surprised at the strength of their outburst.))
A smile starts to spread on her features as he speaks, breaking into a grin as he seems to accept. "...that sounds nice." The tone of her voice as she answers indicates that she's pleased with his assessment, but then she pauses.
"It- might not be best to tell people you're in this sort of relationship right away, by the way," she warns. "I don't know if it's as much of a problem in Freljord, but Noxus doesn't like new things- so don't mention it unless it's necessary; I try to hide it if I don't plan on a long-term arrangement."
She brings a hand up to rub over the back of her neck as a bit of redness returns to her cheeks- she hopes he won't notice the blunder of admission that she'd made. In the hopes of distracting him, she makes eye contact with the waitress, who brings over another Flamespitter with remarkable quickness. Sonder nods gratefully, and turns to look at Nevin.
"So, um... I was thinking dinner, and then my place?"
Last time she'd met him, she'd declined to go to her apartment- and she'd made it fairly clear that it was because she didn't trust him there. "Nothing personal- just, men, y'know- or you don't, but you get my meaning." Inviting him there after perhaps an elapsed day of knowing him wasn't something she'd do for just anyone, but he seemed trustworthy enough- so she'd find out tonight if her impression was correct.
((I'm thinking we can do dinner after a bit more convo here, but in the same thread, then head to Sonder's apartment thread and play a thing until a fade to black. ^^))
he would slightly nod as she advised not to admit such a relationship yet. It is understandable, as it might cause problems for the both of them if he did so. "alright, I wont shout it out or anything like that." a light chuckle escapes his lips as he spoke. "but really though, I will keep quiet about it for now, I don't want to have an issue about it."
He noticeably blushes when she speaks of long term relationships was she considering one with me?. admittedly he would not have minded it, he had begun to like her, even in the short time they spent together. the waiter was a nice distraction as she gave Rose the drink.
"yeah i understand. Cant be too careful about that sort of thing." he admitted, and would scratch his chin in thought. He really did not have a particular restaurant in mind, as he hardly had the chance to go out much. "A restaurant and your place does sound nice. Did you have any place in mind? I really have not had a chance to even see any good restaurants yet."

Rose grins when she sees his blush- based on that and his expression, she'd guess that either he didn't notice her mistake, or that his cheeks are reddening because of it. Her fingers slip underneath his hand on the table, and she laces them around his, squeezing softly as though to reassure him.
"Emeril's is a rather nice place nearby- just left down the road out the door, then take another left three streets down and you're there." Her hands pat lightly over the pockets in her coat while she explains, as though checking for something, and she smiles again when a jingling emanates from one of them. Good, I did remember to keep those with me.
"Shall we split it?"
Earlier that day, she'd come across three gold coins. Counter to her usual, they had not been in the pocket of a hapless man, but on the ground, sitting out on the sidewalk. They would serve as more than enough enough for a meal for the both of them, but they could cover her entire meal if she ordered something lavish.
The embrace of her warm hand on his was a mild reprieve from the nervousness he felt after she mentioned about long term. To be honest he really did not mind where they had went out to dinner. For the most part he always was happy to be able to eat. "alright sounds good, at least we wont have to go very far." He said, a light smirk forming on his lips.
"I was going to suggest paying for the dinner myself, but we can split it if you insist". It was a light gesture to suggest him paying, though he would not have minded either way.
His offer is met with a smile, and a polite, but definite refusal. "Maybe next time, though," she amends, squeezing his hand and grinning again. "At any rate, shall we go?" She stands from the table, her skirt swirling around her thighs, and nods at Nevin, in a suggestion that he should stand, as well.
Last time I was here, I built a bit of a tab- I guess I should pay that off this time. Two fingers slip into one of her coat pockets, and if he were paying attention, he'd notice the way that they don't make so much as a wrinkle in the fabric- they dip in and out with only the barest bulge, and when those slim digits emerge, they carry a gold coin between them.
After making eye contact with the waitress, and making sure she'll get to it without it disappearing, Rose sets it on the table, and nods again at Nevin, this time in the direction of the door.

"alright next time then." He would reply as he got up from the booth as well. He would wait for a brief moment as she would pay for her drinks. He would smile briefly to the Waitress as he made his way around next to her and offer his arm for her, should she choose to accept.
"Yes, lets go." He was glad that they would be able to be somewhere other then the bar. It was a decent place, but the environment there was getting a bit tiresome after a while.

With a smile, she accepts the offered arm, and leads him out into the street. It's a cold night, and her breath clouds in the air before them as they walk. "So- what sort of food do you usually like?"
...That was a stupid question, she berates herself, but tries to cover up for it by walking a little closer to him, pressing her chest slightly into his arm. The cobblestones were wet from the rain that had fallen earlier that day, and it gives her an excuse- she might trip, after all.
A smile forms on his lips as she held his arm and led him to the restaurant. the warmness and closeness of her body was a comfort to him as they walked. The coldness of the air was not much of a bother to him, then again he was used to much colder weather than this. When she had asked what food he liked, he thought for a moment in thought before looking to her.
"Though I do like various steaks, I am used to eating meat since I hunt for a living. Believe it or not I like pasta dishes, like Fettuccine." He would grin as both their Boots hit the stone sidewalk as they strolled through the streets.

"I can believe that- who doesn't like pasta?" She elbows him lightly as they walk along, the slightly-raised heels of her boots clicking against the stones. "Glad to know you're not that foreign, at least." A playful grin marks that she's teasing him, and, before long, they're turning the corner.
The alleyways between the buildings are filled with refuse and unsavory deals- the downtown of Noxus is no safer than its slums, at night- and so she steers him into the center of the road. "No-one's foolish enough to drive a carriage in the middle of the night, out here, so don't worry," she assures him, smiling. The lights of the restaurant can be seen up ahead, so it won't be long.
As they were walking through the street, he had kept an eye on most of the people as they passed by them. It was out of habit mostly to ensure no one was thinking of attacking. Even before he came to Noxus, he was always mindful of the people around him. a he would lightly chuckle as she nudged him and made a light joke..
"Well I would certainly hope not, I would hate for us to be run down in the middle of the street before we make it to the restaurant." he laughs as they walked. He eyes the lights that emanates from the building. He was glad they were close. He was a bit hungry, and glad to be out of the dingy bar.
Sonder smiles at the way his eyes flicker back and forth, jumping like billiard balls in their sockets- it was a habit she'd picked up, as well, just by living here. "Thankfully, it's an unlikely occurrence~"
Her stomach growls, and she laughs. "I suppose I'm hungry," she comments, as she alights on the stairs of the restaurant. The steel-toed boots cause them to creak in protest, but the man at the door- clearly the greeter- doesn't seem to mind.
"Welcome to Emeril's," he drones, tired from the day he'd had.
"Hello~ a table for two, please," Rose greets him, and without another word, he takes them to a table, leaving two menus there for their perusal. Most of the items are of good quality, but fairly expensive, and she blinks before remembering the coins in her pocket.
