In this which runs through me, her blood will keep remembrance of the blood ties that will bind us forever
The setting sun graced itself with its warmth upon Demacia that evening. The sunlit trees bristled in the breeze of the evening air. Closer, there was a woman with a variety of flowers who walked peacefully into the largest graveyard of Demacia. Although this woman had no ties with Demacia, to respect the dead was something she held close to heart. There were many who needed to be remembered and respected. In the event of her mother's death, she always found comfort of the memories she shared with her. "Respect those who have passed, for their lives are just as important to the ones that still are...". A smile could be seen tugging at the corner of her mouth, a chuckle following after. The smile held both sadness and happiness, the memories and regard for someone truly important.
Another stop. Placing the white lilies at one grave, white tulips at the next. The woman gently tucked the flowers away safety, nestled against the stone graves that now had a gift. She did not mind the time spent to these commemorations, in fact, she was fond of spending her time with nothing more than her surroundings. She perhaps was a bit more secluded than usual, but who was to say.
The process continued until the sinking sun began to vanish behind the horizon. The once golden light that bathed the scenery now disappeared, being replaced by the harsh blues of night. The woman frowned, darkness was not kind to her, especially in this case. The dwindling light signaled her to move on, but where to..? In the moment there was nothing, for now she was at unease. The darkness creeped closer to her, winds now cold, whispering hisses into her ear. Raising a hand to remove the black strands of hair that flustered in her face, she made way for shelter.
With each soft pat of grass in her steps, she grew more and more uneasy. Her worrisome nature, fretful of the creatures of the night fueled the paranoia of her surroundings. The graveyard. Her heartbeats quicker with a walk that turned to a fast jog. Footsteps lurking somewhere near, or at least what her mind thought. No, she was alone, but the mind of hers ailed her to such delusions. The constant need to stay safe, even if it meant trough tortuous means of itself. Her gentle blue eyes held a reserved fear, constantly checking behind herself, as if there was a phantom chasing her. Closing her eyes and shaking her head, she convince herself she was alone, although her mind seemed to warn her otherwise.
Running and running she went, until she stumbled upon a mansion, seemingly in the center of the cemetery. Shelter perhaps? She didn't care. Cautiously, she approached the mansion, taking a quick breath, she gently knocked upon the large doors that loomed over her. The still quietness kept her at edge, keeping her guessing. Anxiously waiting, the woman seemed more like a frightened child who heard the horrors of ghost stories an fully believed them. The child side thought the horrors were too frightening to ever be real. The actual part of her knew though, knew that such creatures existed...fiddling with her thumbs she waited, alone, waiting.

A glass of wine, a comfortable armchair and a good book - Cornelius had settled for a peaceful evening tonight. Cornelius was about to take his seat when an unfamiliar noise caught his attention. Someone was... knocking at his doors? The vampire raised an eyebrow, intrigued. When you live in the middle of a graveyard, you certainly don't expect many visits.
He snapped his fingers, drastically changing his appearance, taking that of the wealthy noble he impersonated. Running a hand through his hair, Cornelius walked down the stairs that led to the manor's entrance. When he reached the gargantuan doors, he simply laid his right hand upon one of the handles and pulled, opening it.
Cornelius' eyes opened wide, and he inadvertidly licked his lips. It seemed he would not need to hunt tonight - dinner had come to him.
Greetings to you, young lady. Can I perhaps be of service to you on this night?
As the moments passed the woman seemed in utter anxiety until the sounds of footsteps caught her ears. She looked expectantly at the doors in hope that someone was there. She was right. When the doors cracked open, she stared at the man before her. She blinked. Something seemed odd to her, although she could not quite place a finger on it. He seemed normal, so perhaps she was just being silly. Despite her subliminal mind inaudibly screamed danger, she ignored all sense of warning for the need to feel safety.
However, when the man did answer, she couldn't seem to speak. She opened her mouth to several times, but no sound came out. A flush of embarrassment came over her, for her gaze turned away and to the darkness. Pride. Despicable pride forbid her from asking her question. The pride she carried refused to ask for help, much to her dismay. Even the shadows and darkness didn't seem to push her that far. Nevertheless, a sudden snap of a twig was more than enough for her to push pride aside for one moment, for her self-conservation. "Could you offer a place of stay for the night? I am not fond of traveling in darkness...at night." Her words were redundant enough, filled with anxiety and a hint of fear. She knew well it was a bold request, but she wasn't in a place to be picky.
The creaking of the trees made the poor girl jump again, almost into the house. She seemed awfully at unease in the darkness, much like how she was on asking such. Favor. It hasn't even crossed her mind that there was a house in the middle of a cemetery, or that she was asking for patronage from a complete stranger who she knew nothing about. Then again, her mind wasn't even thinking clearly in this state, so these processes didn't seem to come to her.

The man observed the girl for a few seconds. She was so bashful and nervous - he almost found that cute. Cornelius took one step back and extended his left arm, pointing towards the main hall with an open hand.
With a smirk on his face, he invited Kura to step inside. The dark of night is no place for such a fair maiden, for many dangers lurk within. The irony in that statement almost made him laugh. Almost. Please, do make yourself at home.
The offer was more than enough for her to take a step inside of Cornelius' home. She looked up to him and smiled, it was gentle, much like the softened gaze of her eyes. The fear she had once held seemed to fade as soon as she stepped inside. "Thank you sir, I do appreciate it."
His comment she did agree upon, to some extent. Graveyards, darkness, paranoia, that was more than enough to keep her on edge. "Many dangers indeed.." She shuddered. She still remembered Vlad, it almost hurt...she didn't know what had happened, but it seemed he had phased himself completely out of her life. Kura shook her head, placing the thought from her head before looking back to Cornelius, "Again, thank you...is there anyway I could repay you for your hospitality..? Money perhaps..?" she tilted her head to the side curiously, wondering if he'd accept the offer, always wanting to show her appreciation for kindness she was given.

Cornelius slowly closed the door behind her, locking it with a golden key. He turned around, gazing into his visitor's eyes. Repay me? Oh, please. He waved his hand, as if substracting importance from the matter. Your company will be an acceptable wage, I can tell. He quickly turned on his heels and turned towards his cellar. Now, could you be a dear and light up the fireplace? I'll go fetch us something to drink.
