I have yet another special character query and it's the Ninja. Kinkou to be specific.
We all know that each head of the order has a job, but I guess we should ask for more details and how the organization under them works, cause it ain't JUST three of ya. You got minions. What are you minions, and what do they do?
I talked a bit to Shen about it, but I open up to the community again, cause I like you all....most of ya....some of ya?....DON'T NINJA ME, BRAH!! ((JK about the not liking you thing.))

In my opinion, the Kinkou is divided into three distinct sects, each adhering to the ideals of one member of the triumvirate, Kennen, Akali and Shen. Akali and her followers represent the darker nature of balance, Kennen and his the lighter side, and Shen and his true neutrality. The Order suffered serious losses with Zed's rebellion, but now it is perhaps safe to say that they number around 900, with 300 members in each sect.
Just my two-cents. Interested to read other takes.
Because this pertains partly to this OC, I'm going to make a post here. I think the Kinkou is made up of many clans, some more prestigious then others (Shen, Kennen, and Akali's). The kinkou has a general regiment of teachings and training that all members must undergo (ninjustu, removal of emotions, teachings of the Kinkou).
However, each clan teaches their own that clan's style. Hence we have the difference between Akali's, Shen's, and Kennen's style. Kennen has power over lighting, Shen is a general ninjustu expert, while Akali is more of an aggressive ninjustu expert. Most likely there is a council that advises the Grandmaster, while the Grandmaster makes the final decision. Each clan may or may not have a representative to the council.
At least that is my two cents with the Kinkou Order.

Oh boy. I'll give this a read when I'm not limited on time (the OC). But anyway. I like this thread. In all honesty, I'm still building on the idea of Akali myself, and the triumvirate as a whole. And the ideas behind it. This forum's helped me build a better idea of my character and the Kinkou.
After reading some of these posts, I'll try to come up with some ideas of my own while I'm out tomorrow.
Although, question. If Kahn mentions some kind of Grandmaster, who would that be? I always pictured Shen as more or less the leader. Even though it is a triumvirate. True neutrality.
I don't have much input on this, but if we were to base it off the three types of teachings from each leader, we would have to mention in our profiles for who's currently teaching them. If I were to say something, even though he still isn't as emotionless as his leader, I think Zen would probably be with Shen's group, as he is more in general ninjitsu.

Shen is the son of the last Grandmaster and is the final judge. Either the Eye of Twilight is the Grandmaster, or the job is hereditary or both. The Eye of Twilight naturally fits the role of Grandmaster. They make the decisions on what upsets balance and what doesn't.
Morde, Shen is the Ideal. The minions are allowed to not be perfect. As a matter of fact, it would be preferred as being perfectly in line with the Eye of Twilight would make him rather pointless. Also, Emotionless is different than true neutral. You can have emotions, but you can choose to follow your feelings or not to.
