Mordekaiser watched as Lux was charging her laser. No doubt getting hit by that thing again would prove worse than the first hit. He leaned over to the left and out of the way as her Finales Funklein zoomed right by him and blinded him slightly. He let out a grunt as he covered his eyes for a brief minute. "Ugh. Damn woman." He grumbled. Though being blinded was WAY better than being hit by the thing.
After regaining his sight, he saw Thresh climb up the fence and made it into the city, he took note of his shout as he smiled to himself. "Desolation is coming." He said. When the Behemoth neared the wall, he leaped into the air and landed on the walls of the gate, landing on a soldier. He turned to the ballista as he let out a roar. His mace charged up with magic, preparing a Mace of Spades. He charged forward with a roar to signify that something large was coming at them fast. It only caused soldiers to scream in fear as they were kicked out of the way by Mordekaiser's hulking legs, as he struck the ballista weapon and killing those around him. The pain they suffered infused into his armor as he breathed in slowly to take all the carnage in. Now that he smashed a ballista weapon and his shield was up, he went for the next ballista. He went charging forward and any soldier or champion on the walls would be in for a rude surprise.

The Wall
Soundlessly moving throughout its darkness, Nocturne quickly darted through the forces of either side and up the wall, remaining near invisible. It extinguished the lights of its eyes, but was still fully capable of seeing. The Nightmare continued its approach, looking among those on the wall as it searched for a target, until...
Ah, the Prince of Demacia. A blow to him would easily destabilize the rest of their forces... it thought, moving into a position to strike. The darkness over the city would be fading soon, but not before Nocturne made his attack against Jarvan IV. For now it would wait within the shadows, anticipating the right moment...
"All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream."

The endless darkness seemed to consume Demacia in a shroud of fear, causing city-wide panic from the masses. Many huddled in closer, some panicked as they ran through the streets desperate for some sense of light and comfort. Many more were too fear stricken to do anything but freeze, and stay wherever they were when the ebony mass absorbed the city in its black energy.
Among those who were effected was Belle, who navigated through the streets as she fought the fear and paranoia that plagued her. If it was not the spirit that had previously possessed her, it was now the effects of Nocturne's power. Her hands pressed against the walls, remembering the path she had taken with the Priest to slowly make her way back towards the lantern.
She practically would stumble upon it having not ventured far from it. The faint glow a tiny beacon in the darkness. She wanted to run, and hide, but if she couldn't confront the monster, she knew she may never be what she once was.
I'm sorry, Jarvan.. The last words to the Priest echoed through her mind, and ignited courage to hold her position and wait. A faint glimmer of light illuminated from the magical string that formed between two points on her bow, and a single arrow held within the pinch of her fingers, against the string. It was lowered, but was quickly raised towards any sound that might draw her attention.
"I will end you, Chain Warden.." She whispered, feeling the suffocating effects of the darkness trying to steal the very breath of life from her.
From the darkness the sound of footsteps would ring out as a figure emerged, for a split second he would look to be wrapped in shadows, his very form looking to be made from it. His eyes seemed to burn with a blue fire, only for a split second before it was revealed to be the priest from earlier,
"Belle?!" He calls out to the darkness, his eyes settling upon the dull glow of the lantern, he can hear the music and begins moving towards it, "Belle, I cannot leave you to this fate alone... I may be no more than a holy man, but I will aid you in anyway I can."
Oddly enough... Nocturne's paranoia didn't seem to be effecting him very much as he was able to follow her to the lantern with relative ease.

At the call, Belle turned quickly with the arrow raised towards the approaching footsteps. She nearly released it, until the image of the Priest appeared from the darkness. He must truly be holy if he was unaffected by the darkness.
"You will.. help me?" She questioned with a hint of surprise. A light smile again rested upon her lips, turning then to the lantern. She felt a little better not being alone. But the effects of Nocturne's darkness would still plague her, causing her to jump at the smallest of things.
"Be mindful of the cider." She said softly, "It's poisoned." As she said this, she would stare down at the lantern with a hateful gaze. If only she could hurt it... somehow... maybe destroy it. Nothing was indestructible.
Xin Zhao heard a feminine voice whispering in the darkness, Nocturne's paranoia causing him to flinch at the instant. He tried to walk to the source, taking care not to trip on anything along the way...
He gripped his spear, in case that the source turned out to be something dangerous - hopefully not.
The seneschal bumped into Marabelle, and then shook his head. He jumped back, staring at her curiously, before resting his stance.
Spiders clung to her. All over her body she felt a thousand legs with their spinning webs and clawed feet, spitting poison from their jaws and clenching their mouths against her skin. With each one of her blows the dark creatures vanished into the essence of the darkness. Fould magics played around her and consumed her thoughts. Feeling a sickness move through her stomach twisted her mind. Was the sickness real or just a product of her mind?
Darkness and silence surrounded her. The outcome of this battle swayed without her. The walls could lay crashed, the men scattered to the winds, and the brilliancy of the magics could falter and lay broken in the dark void. Her wand pushed into the darkness to throw a singularity. She needed to assist this battle in some manner. Even in darkness she would fight past this evil.
Drops of rain fell upon her face. Each drop faded the spiders into oblivion. "Illusions?" Only some. The teeth of one of the spiders bit into her flesh. Her hand brushed the creature hard against rampart of the wall. The darkness gave way to the brutal truth of the walls. Thresh scaled the wall with Mordekaiser wrecking havoc among the walls.
"No!" She cried out with her hand pressed against the brick ramparts. She tried to cast her Final Funkein, but a sharp snap in her neck pulled her away. The spider on her neck fell against the ground to be pummeled with her staff. Such a great chance to hit both champions with her Funkein passed.
Before Mordekaiser could do anymore harm to the defenders of the ramparts, Lux shot out a Binding Light to try and keep him snared to the ground. Thresh and his rampage continued, but she could only deal with one of them now. Breaking the siege along the wall would place her at an even more disadvantage than the darkness did.
Poppy returned to the wall, lifting the spirits of Lux. "Poppy. These demons are taking to the city." Lux did not know if the sapped strength came from the fatigue of war or the spider bite, but she knew she needed to continue after Thresh. "Take back the wall."
Tearing down the stairs, Lux leaped the last few steps to get a clear vision of Thresh and his honor guard. She flipped a singularity before them to halt their movement. Gripping her staff with both hands, she cast a glare challenging the champion's trek into the city.

The darkness enveloped Gillam like a tightly wrapped blanket. Gillam stood wary, his lance and buckler ready to confront any creature who dared to try and confront him. However, there was certain fear in his eyes.
The darkness...it remind him of his past...of the battle...of his frozen self, and...nothingness. Gillam' weapons dropped at his feet, however, he was still entranced by the horrifying silence over the city. The darkness, it was consuming him...and yet, it was his friend. He had lost so much, and he felt as if...he could just slip away...
Nearby, as Gillam continued to become entranced, the lantern was sucking Gillam's life force, ever so slowly. It was draining him of his power, and he was becoming weaker. However, with each passing second, Gillam's pendant grew slightly brighter...
"No matter the era, I am Demacian, through and through."

Seeing Luxanna having some trouble with the spiderlings, Poppy makes her way to where the sorceress was before she ran down the stairs. The spiderlings were everywhere, but her armor was making sure that they had a hard time getting their fangs on the sturdy yordle. Only place not covered was her face, and she even had a faceplate on her helmet covering a fair bit of it.
As she made her way through to a spot on the wall not covered in spiderlings, another foe started to emerge from the darkness. Currently fighting the guards at the wall stood Mordekaiser... the Master of Metal. This would not be easy, but what was a fight without a challenge?
So, she continues on her path to the large armored man, smashing down a few corpses that made their way up the wall thanks to the behemoths on her way. She looked at the fallen soldiers on the wall for a moment before smashing their limbs off. As hard as it was to do for fallen friends, it would be better not to have the Isles use them as a weapon against Demacia.
"Apologies soldiers... this must be done so the enemy doesn't use you."
She then was standing near Mordekaiser, coming in from behind the suit of armor that hid him. Hoping to use the element of surprise to her advantage, she lifts Whomper up, a familiar glow coming from the hammer as she swings the hammer towards the knee-joint in Mordekaiser's armor with her Devastating Blow. She did not truly know whether his armor would be crushed, or would shrug it off, so this would be a test of his armor.
Mordekaiser charged at the second ballista and brought it down with another Mace of Spades, smashing the weaponry and killing those around it. He put out his hand as he laughed a sinister one. The few soldiers from the second one began to slowly rise up with glowing red eyes. Red mist poured from their eyes as a bit of their power traveled along the air and then seeped onto Mordekaiser's eyes. He let out a triumphant and deep laugh as he could feel himself getting stronger for every sickly corpse he raised.
He was going to go for the next one, but the next step he took was halted as he looked at his bright shackles. "It's always her causing the problems." He muttered. Suddenly, he felt a light tap on his knee.. Odd, what could tap his knee? He looked down at Poppy who did nothing but put a mere dent in his shield from the pain inflicted around him. He just looked down at Poppy as the binding effects wore off. The only thing to come from his throat was a small laugh at her pathetic strikes. "Hue." He said before giving a strong under swing at her at the point blank range she was at. If she even continued, all he needed to do was cast his Siphon of Destruction at her to recharge his shield.

Undead and mortal dead lay scattered about the walls, the rain now pouring down dampening the effects of the fire upon the already wet flesh. Behemoths here brought down with thunderous crashes, yet... Still, the Demacian walls cracked, their mortar unable to withstand the raw brutality of the assault. Dust erupted in the darkness, rolling across the vision of those near where the walls once stood... The walls were falling.
Behemoths let out bellowing war cries as the walls resistance finally fell away killing those who were brave or stupid enough to stay upon them. Small pockets of the walls still stood, in between where the behemoths broke the walls trapping soldiers upon the high walls that remained.
Nocturnes darkness enveloping Demacia, paranoia wormed its way into the minds of the mortals, darkness shrouding their vision to barely five feet in front of them... The undead pressed on, incapacitated humans and yordles, all apart of the demacian military were now to be slaughtered by the great behemoths the moved through the city creating great paths of destruction through the civilian homes not caring to kill the soldiers. They seemed to be driven by destruction.
CURRENT EFFECTS: Raining heavily; the fire upon the rotten flesh that was already wet from earlier isn't as effective as planned. Behemoths still set alight by the oil, burning away at the bone plating and melting their flesh. It is also weakening the armour of those who do get ignited and haven't died straight away.
Paranoia; ALL DEMACIAN'S are effected by this, you cannot see past 5 ft at most, Lux's spell illuminate the area around her, Demacian military is being slaughtered everywhere else. Because Nocturnes paranoia is effecting their ability to defend themselves.
Crucified Civilians; Engulfed in spirit fire, they are the only source of light. AS you look around, it emits a dull light that you will briefly see before it is engulfed by Paranoia. You glimpes humans with melted flesh, crucified flying into the darkness above you.
Onagers being fired into the City; Great big balls of exploding spirit fire, melts away the flesh of the living, burns the undead, not to the extent of the living though. Is not effected by water due to its magical nature. They also produce light as they fly over the city and as they explode. The light is a slight cyan colour similar to Hecarim's
ARMY NUMBERS: Undead Horde; 140,000/200,000 Behemoths; 16/24 Zombies in the sewers; 450/450
I am the one who defied death. I am the one he fears. I am the on he can not take. One sweep of my hand and your nations will fall. Come for me you worms. You will all bow before my legions or be broken beneath us as we march upon your cities.
Vilemaw continued to slam his massive form against the Demacian wall, weakening it bit by bit, eventually it would fall to the hulking monster. Elise sat far away from the actual battle, sitting atop a hill, above the Demacian city, watching with a smirk as her pets went to work weaving chaos and destruction. The spiderlings continued to move throughout the city, looking to swarm league champions, as they were the highest threat. --------------------------------------------------------- Vilemaw- Slightly injured Spiderlings- 8000/10,000

((Sorry to everyone, I just... have lost all interest in the whole Invasion. Well, not lost, more like never had any. I just felt like Poppy not being a part of the defense of Demacia would be quite honestly preposterous.))
Seeing that her strike did no damage, Poppy ponders for a second. The magical shield the Master of Metal had, of course. It would have to be taken down before anything could be done. But, as the walls crumbled behind her, she had no place to avoid the strike coming at her, so she instead lifts Whomper up and points it at a nearby risen corpse..
A familiar shield forms around her, blocking any damage Mordekaiser's swing could have dealt, but it doesn't stop the strike from moving her. She grunts as she is flown through the air, hoping to land safely. Not seeing anything due to the darkness, she lifts her shield to protect her on her front.
Her trajectory ends up taking her to the stone wall of the barracks, and as she hits the wall, her whole left arm is crushed between herself and the shield, the bones on from her shoulder to her wrist broken. Her head also hits the shield, partially protected by her helmet, but the hit is strong enough to knock her unconscious, and causes a concussion.
She then falls to the ground, her hand somehow still continuing to hold Whomper in a tight, unbreakable grip. A couple of soldiers moving to a more easily protected choke point notice her fall, and one of the picks her up while the other takes her shield, and they start to head towards the hospital to make sure she doesn't die from the wounds the impact caused.

The city seemed in total dissaray, and so were the Pathfinders. There was screaming everywhere. Even the group at the gate was split up between running to the centre and taking cover inside. The ones on the walls that weren't running around in terror were being overran by the spiders. Amongst the ones that were still unified in the centrum, was a particularly angry Lucas. He was failing again. This wouldn't do. This wouldn't do at all.
His thoughts were interrupted by one of his brothers in arms: "Oh damnit, why are we even trying, we'll never survive this, it's inevitable anyway." Inevitable. Wait a second... "Soldier, if it's inevitable, there is no point fearing it, is there? I'm sick of this chaos. I want you all to think about that.Inevitable means it's going to happen. If you think it's inevitable, you already see no other option than death. You acknowledge it, but don't accept it."
The booming voice of their commander cut through.
He's right! Brothers, we are the Demacian Pathfinders! We swore to do everything for Demacia! I know, we need our vision more than anyone else, save maybe the crossbowmen. But as soon as this shroud is over, we'll show them EXACTLY where they drove us. We will fight:
For Demacia! With PERSEVERANCE! COURAGE! LOYALTY! This shout's effect would be two-fold. First of all, it'd rally anyone who firmly believed in those ideals. Secondly, all the pathfinders who could see a way out would leave their post and converge to the centre.
I am a Pathfinder. I will do what everyone else thinks below him, because someone must do it. Call me dishonorable for it all you want. I serve justice, not honor. And Demacia, ofcourse.
Jarvan hated the conditions of this battle. The sounds of screaming and battle were clear all around him, but the dark prevented him from knowing exactly what was going on. But what he hated the most was that it was at his home's front door. He kept having flashbacks of when he was captured. He was helpless, a child. He hated his weakness and arrogance at that time of his life. He tried his best to swallow his fears in order to continue.
The prince heard the shrieks of Lux and he stumbled to her location. LeBlanc showing him the horrible image of Lux's skull crushed in made him overprotective of her. Spider-lings had surrounded her. He cried out once he noticed she was bit. "LUXANNA!" He grabbed her shoulders firmly in his hands. "We are being overwhelmed. We need to push them back now or abandon the wall."
He disliked the idea of admitting that the defense of the wall was a waste, but all of his men dying here was not an option.
