Piltover, the pinnacle of technology, "the city of progress" as it was called by most people. Though, none of that mattered to Elise... technology came and went, and will continue as such while she stays ageless... what did concern her, was her growing pang of hunger. It had been quite a while sense she last feasted, and her empty stomach was a testament to that.
Elise narrowed her eyes slightly... she could easily stop at a restaurant and get food... but the Spider Queen very much preferred live prey. Her cloak billowed in the wind slightly as she slunk through the slums of the city, smirking slightly to herself.
She then noticed a man stumble out of a bar, a bottle of alcohol in his hand, and in a drunken daze... the perfect target. Elise approached the man and gently brushed his face with a hand. "Hello there..." She cooed, trailing the hand down to his arm. "I bet a strong, big man like yourself can show a girl like me a really good time, hmm?"
The man looked at Elise and grinned wide, wrapping an arm around her waist to grope her rear. "You b-bet I can" he stuttered. The Spider Queen's eye twitched ever so slightly from behind her cloak as she felt the mans touch... stopping herself from ripping the fool apart right then and there.
"Okay then... lover, come with me." Elise cooed, taking his hand and leading him off towards a dark alley. As the two vanished into the darkness, nothing was heard from the man. After a few minuets, Elise would walk back out of the shadows, cloak wrapped around her... a smile on her face, content with her meal.

'Another day done, another load of papers read, surgeries performed, report filed, and the daily mess that happens at lunch... at least today was an off day for the Corps,' Jon thought to himself, making his way back home from the hospital along the side concourse; the main route was the one most people took, but he knew this area was one that needed to have an eye on, for not everything that happened on the side went noted by the officials.
His now well-too-known Options hovering along behind him, as if forming some odd-tag group, Jon kept a steady walking pace, making sure not to bump into anyone, but keeping an eye on anyone that looked suspicious.
At this time of hour, the less honest people were about, and he noticed several of such describable people see him and quickly return their attention to their previous tasks, whether it be gambling, chess, or just drinking away their problems...
...and today, something... or someone... caught his attention that indeed, did look rather shady. It was a bit abnormal for him, to say the least... the person was around as tall as he was - at 6'8, he was pretty big compared to everyone else - and was covered up in some odd cloak.
An odd feeling built up inside of him as he resolved to decide to address this person - or what he thought was a person - and walked up to it, speaking to it.
"Er, hello... may I ask what your name is?" He asked the cloaked person.
"There's only one thing that I know for sure is true: 'Truth is relative.'" -Jon
"What side you're on isn't of concern to me. What is of concern is that you're hurt, and I need to treat you for it." -Jon
"Contrary to what some believe, violence does not solve everything. In fact, it solves nothing." -Jon
Elise stopped walking when she confronted... she could have walked past the man, but that would have looked suspicious... "My name dear?" She said, turning to face the man and scanning him with her bright red eyes from behind the cloak, a stout man... some floating objects behind him, no doubt used as some form of weapon... a red cross on his helmet. "Interesting..." Elise thought, putting her hands together. "My name is Rose." The Spider Queen lied, she wasn't sure if the man had heard of her, but she wasn't willing to take that risk. "Why do you ask, dear?" She then said, her voice as innocent sounding as ever.

For a moment, Jon was about to accept the name this mysterious stranger gave him, and was going to answer her question in response, when a realization hit him; those eyes, those features... this wasn't even a normal woman...
...this was likely - no, had too be - the Spider Queen herself.
"I will answer your question, but first, I have another question to ask you: why are you lying to me... Spider Queen," He said in response, his tone now firm and stern; as a public official, he had to learn of each and every champion in the League, and so had a basic knowledge of where every champion had come from. Specifically, he had heard of what this particular champion did, and thus he had next to no trust in her, especially when it came to her motives...

Elise let out a slight chuckle and clapped her hands softly. "Good job! Very good job!" She cooed, smirking from behind her hood. "Perhaps I underestimated you." She then said, not seeming too worried that she was found out. "You ask why I lie?" Another chuckle came from the Spider Queen. "It's what I do... I'm a deceiver dear." Elise folded her hands behind her back and slowly began to circle him, her white cloak blowing in the wind slightly. "So it seems we are at an impasse... the question now, is whether or not I should kill you." Elise rubbed her chin in thought, her bright red eyes scanning his form for anything that might pose a threat to her, already knowing the floating object would be. "I could take you back to my lair... my children are quite hungry."

Jon shook his head a bit at hearing Elise's response. Of course she didn't want to give everything away so early; how else could she have become the Spider Queen? There was no other reason for it.
Hearing her statement of whether or not to kill him made him slightly angry, and his hand instinctively went to his sidearm's holster.
"You could certainly tried if you wished, your majesty," he replied with a heavy dose of sarcasm easily detectable for the phrase he called Elise, "but I doubt you would want to: as a well-known Public Official in this City-State - the head of the Medical Service, in fact - you would be asking for far more trouble than you would most likely wish to have by killing me, by drawing the hostility of this entire City-State onto your shoulders."
"And then, there is the small matter of actually trying to kill me; I may not look dangerous like you, but I don't need to look like I can defend myself to be able to do it. You would know this fact rather well." All the while, his tone did not oscillate - rather, it stayed somewhat calm, flat - and he did not turn his head; at this point, being a cyborg, he didn't need to, for he could tell where Elise was judging from the sound pattern made by her leg-steps, to speak nothing of the extra eyes his Options provided.
No, he was not turning his head, nor was he making eye contact; to do so with a Deceiver was only to play into their game, something he definitely did not want.
"Now, I do have one question I would like to have answered, truthfully, even though I don't expect you to: why have you come here?"
"There's only one thing that I know for sure is true: 'Truth is relative.'" -Jon
"What side you're on isn't of concern to me. What is of concern is that you're hurt, and I need to treat you for it." -Jon

Elise smirked slightly at his sarcasm, enticing a chuckle from the Spider Queen. She continued to circle him until she stopped right in front of him, making note of the movement. She smiled and took a regal stance. "You may be correct; however, I highly doubt anyone would think to look for me" Elise mused, motioning to herself with a hand. Elise then rubbed her chin and smirked a little more. "What? I can't come and simply rest in the famed city of progress?" She said with a smile.
"Dear, that's hurtful." Elise made a fake pout from under her hood before letting out another laugh, this one more wicked sounding. "I came to rest, but mostly... grab a bite to eat." She then added, smirking wider.

Jon finally looked up when Elise stopped in front of her; if there was any doubt in her mind as to whether or not he was someone to be trifled with, she could get her answer by looking into his eyes. Upon hearing her response, his eyes narrowed significantly.
"...you haven't done in someone already, have you," was all he said. His tone was slightly more quiet, but far more foreboding this time; if this woman took one life already, he sure as hell wasn't going to let her take another.
"There's only one thing that I know for sure is true: 'Truth is relative.'" -Jon

The area around them quickly cleared out as night soon fell; the sun setting under the clouds. It was only then did Elise draw back her hood to reveal her face, those piercing red eyes meeting Jon's, that unnatural, calm smile placed on her face like always. "You mortals and your significant tie to the precious thing called life... it is humorous to say the least." She said, the smile on her face growing wider as she spoke; an unspoken glint flashing in her eyes. "Only in death does one's true release from all burdens come... in actuality, I do people a favor." Elise let out another dark chuckle. "But to answer your question, my dear sweet medic, maybe I didn't... maybe I did."
The Spider Queen's hands folded in front of her. "Tell me, what do you think? Hmmm?"

Jon could only stare right back into her eyes, his magnetic black ones equally capable, almost as if they were warding off the piercing visions of Elise. Hearing her challenge, he gave a simple response.
"You are fortunate Piltover's yet to install the soon-to-be state-of-the-art security system in this area, for if you did, you would be found... and face the consequences of doing so."
"Alas, I am not a Police Officer, and as there seems to be nothing indicating you have, I cannot say whether you did or not. And as Piltovian law currently has it, you're innocent until proven guilty."
"HOWEVER... I expect you to not even think of trying it in my presence."
The Spider Queen let out yet another chuckle, smirking at is threat. "You think to intimidate me?" She simply shook her head. "Alas, your threats mean little to me... pitiful fool" Elise then said, the same smile on her face as she sat in front of the man. "Now, if you will excuse me, I have business to attend to"

Jon gave a snort at Elise's response, her expression only serving to harden his own. More powerful forces had tried the same thing before, he thought to himself.
And yet he was still around to lend help to others; so somehow some spider-woman was going to do better? A good joke, that was for sure.
"I'd advise against brushing that off so quickly..." he replied; as if on cue, the Options all emitted a small heat wave.
"I heard Spiders don't like fire... and, well, I got plenty of that right here, so unless you want to test that fact..."

Elise's smiled quickly turned to a frown, the deep red eyes narrowed, a flash of anger crossing her face, but as quickly as it came it was gone; hidden once again behind the mirage of calmness that her features seemed to always have. "I take that with a grain of slat, my dear." She replied, turning around and beginning to walk away, only to stop half way through. "I think you and I will meet again, my dear medic... soon enough." Elise then kept walking, content with their conversation.

Jon simply stood there, his eyes narrowing as he saw the Spider Queen simply walk away; however, knowing what he had read on this champion, he certainly wasn't going to turn his head away just so quick. This champion took lives just for her own gain... and that was something he was definitely not going to stand for in his city-state, with his sworn duty to heal... and protect.
Unfortunately, he wasn't a police officer, and thus had no right to be able to check on her without due suspicion by a bystander... but fortunately, he had an easy way to alert someone who did have that authority.
After a moment, he turned on his hotline to the police, and, his voice slightly crackling, spoke into it.
"Sheriff... you're gonna want to get here ASAP. Side concourse, corner of Gear & 17th. This is quite a... nasty surprise..."
